Tum Tum’s …Not bad, not bad A little slow of a turn around considering the small crowd(in comparison to other trucks) but delicious and well done Vietnamese street food. Had some rice noodles with TFC(Thai Fried Chicken) for an extra couple dollars. Here’s a tip for you: Always, ALWAYS opt for the TFC. It was the best thing about my meal. From what I saw, it was the best thing about ANY meal they had. Good amount of food and friendly service. Check them out

My husband and I went to the Haulover Beach Food Trucks this week for Cinco de Mayo and tried Tum Tums Food Truck again. Not only were we treated like old friends, but ordered the TFC, Thai Fried Chicken, and the Veggie Bowl. Both items were delicious, generous, and priced well. For Cinco de Mayo they even offered Pork Tacos, which we thought was a cute way to celebrate this theme. We intend to follow them and try the many different things that they offer. It was again a Sweet, Pleasant, and Delicious Experience!

We ate at Tum Tum’s today at the Formula E race, which had about 30,000 people and 20 or so food trucks. Needless to say, they were overwhelmed with business. We waited in line to order for about an hour and another 30 minutes to get the food after ordering. They were out of the traditional Banh Mi’s — which is fine but they should have put a sign up since the wait was so long. Tons of people were complaining that they never would have waited had they known they were out of the baguettes. Since we had already waited so long we decided to try the Banh Mi hot dog, the Thai Fried Shrimp and the Thai Fried Chicken. The hot dog comes with their Banh Mi toppings(cilantro, pickled vegetables and mayo) and actually ended up being the best bargain at $ 6.00 being that it also includes fries. Both the Thai Fried Shrimp and Chicken were good, the shrimp being slightly better, but neither had a lot of flavor. Maybe because they were so busy quality was compromised. The girl taking orders was completely frazzled. She was cussing and saying how much she wished she could go to the bathroom — understandable but she seemed the crack a bit under the pressure of how busy they were. She became a bit surly with some other guests when they had small complaints, one whom she overcharged. Now that I am home and can load my receipt on my phone, I see I was also overcharged by $ 3.00 for an order of spring rolls that I never ordered or received. I would try them again when they are less overwhelmed, but for now the food and service warrant only about 3 stars.

Went tonight to Magic City Casino. I was looking for something different, didn’t want burgers, pizza or the standards. I went to TUMTUM’S Asian Street Food and was blown away with what they have to offer; Bahn Mi, Thai Fried Chicken, Veggie Bowl and a Rice Noodle Bowl as their standards. My eyes were drawn to 2 of their specials. As an 80’s kid I had to go for their Mr. Miyagi a fried chicken sandwich or as their phrased it San-wich with homemade garlic Sriracha coleslaw. I also had to try their homemade jerky salad, which had great flavor. It came over salad, cherry tomatoes, crispy shallots a hint of lime and their homemade sweet chili sauce. Overall it was an incredible experience, great friendly staff that is family run. I love supporting family businesses. I am now a true TUMTUM’S fan! I will be back for sure.

Tum Tum’s is a great food truck in South Florida. I had the chance to try their food when they were at Funky Buddha a couple weeks ago. The gals running the truck were really friendly and talkative. I first had the Banh Mi Dawg, which was really awesome. I loved the cilantro on it and thought the hot dog itself was good quality. The bun also did not fall apart like other places serve. I was really impressed with the product and the price. I thought the price was inexpensive and paired well with the beers I had at Funky Buddha. Before I left I ordered a noodle bowl to take home since I wasn’t in the mood to cook that night. I actually had it awhile later and reheated it. I thought it reheated really well especially since sometimes some dishes don’t. This was a great take-out dish. There was a ton of noodles and chicken that made the meal filling. The chicken also had no fat on it, which I appreciated. Overall I thought the dish had a good flavor and a ton of food. I believe it cost $ 9, but I can’t remember the exact price. For the price though I did get a lot of food and was able to get two meals out of the noodle bowl. I definitely recommend trying Tum Tum’s when you see them!
