I have not even seen the doctor, but this is about my experience, setting up an appointment, with them so far. I have called, filled out the online registration(which is not working, so I ended up calling them back again and gave them the same information all over). They took my inf. and I was told that it takes 24 to 48 hours for them to process and call me back. I got a call from their scheduler so I returned their call immediately. They continued to transfer me, kept asking me if I had filled out the information, and after being put to speak with a scheduler I was on hold for 25 minutes, and the line just got disconnected(or hung up). Really frustrating, how busy their schedulers can be, can’t answer one call for 25 minutes or not getting a call back over 2 hours???(and similar experience the first time I called them too) I read a good review of Dr. Uribe but unless I hear from them promptly I am ready to give up.

As you walk in you can immediately discern you are in a sports medicine«institute» because the walls are covered with jerseys and other sports memorabilia signed by past patients. So you definitely come to the conclusion that if this place takes care of some of these sports giants, you’re little IT band issue will certainly be taken care of. This is Dr. Uribe’s clinic and he’s apparently well known in his business for taking care of some of the best athletes. What the heck was I doing there? I’m no jock! But I have become addicted to running and I didn’t want to go to a doctor that told me I would have to stop. I had a whole host of issues and Dr. Ingrid Carter was thorough and dedicated to making me feel better. She gave me a whole bunch of scary scenarios, and in hindsight, I think it was good that she prepared me because I’m elated about my recovery! More importantly, this place treats you like a VIP patient even if you are just a recreational athlete. Because of my insurance plan they took special care to refer me to places that would take my insurance AND for less expensive options since I had to pay some things myself. So Dr. Carter tells me I need to set up an appointment for an MRI and for orthotics. No problem. There is a very very friendly lady who takes your scrips and then calls the places for you and sets you up. When my lab results came back, Dr. Carter called me promptly and told me I needed physical therapy and a follow up appointment with her. Not to worry, someone would call me right back to set this all up. I got a call from the office to schedule my appointment and they faxed the information to the PT for me. The PT then called ME to set up my appointments. The only downsides to this office is the parking garage is PACKED!!! So allow extra time before your appointment to find parking. Also, it can take a while to get an initial appointment due to its reputation. Bottomline: This doctor’s office took my issues seriously and Dr. Carter was determined to find a way to get me better. The time and energy they spent on studying my problem and setting me up with other appointments made me feel like an olympic athlete!
