West Kendall Liquors & Wines

This has def become my go to liquor store since I moved to this area. Conveniently located inside of a large shopping center this liquor store almost anything you need. This store is small but they have plenty of wine options to offer and a great liquor selection as well. Prices are a bit high compared to other liquor stores I have been to but the convenience of having this store at the corner of my house always has me coming back. Just wish they had a area to purchase cheeses and would add some of my favorite wines to the selection.

Not sure how good is in-​store shopping experience, but online they are terrible.
I was trying to buy a case of good wine as a gift to somebody living in Miami. Of course, Florida does not allow retail wine shipping out of state, so I had to find a local store, unfortunately for me I found this one. I’ve placed the order, waited most of the day for confirmation, but all I received was «since your billing and shipping addresses are different, we cannot fulfill your order» from the owner, and that’s in reply to my message, which clearly stated that the order is a gift. You know, usually gifts are bought for someone else, quite possibly living at different address. No attempts to communicate — just a flat refusal of my order.
Thank you very much for waste of my time, Meena Sethi (I hope I did not mangle your name like you mangled mine), I will not buy from you indeed.

Not sure if it’s a good thing that they know me by name, but I absolutely don’t care. It is always a pleasure shopping here. Not only is the staff and management extremely knowledgeable (especially about wine) but very welcoming and helpful. I truly appreciate that they take the time and make the effort to actually know you.
I won’t shop anywhere else.

It may be small, it may be crowded… but this is perhaps the nicest and friendliest store of any kind in Kendall! I have been a loyal customer for several years now, and every time I walk in there it puts a smile on my face. Meena (the owner), Francisco and the rest of the team go out of their way to please. They give great recommendations, feature competitive pricing and discounts, have carry-​out to your car and host tastings once a month. They really take care of their customers and if they don’t have something in stock, they will order it for you. I would not think of buying my liquors anywhere else!

Love this liquor store. We go here whenever we haven’t had a chance to hit up BJs for massive bottles, just come here and get regular bottles at awesome prices. I went to another liquor store just down the street and couldn’t believe the jacked up prices they had compared to this place! Its small but they have everything you need. Never had bad service here, they are always nice, attentive, and help me decide on something if I’m not sure, followed by ringing me up straight away.

The owner Meena helped me to find the perfect birthday gift for a friend. It was a Champagne gift set with glasses and the birthday girl loved it. Thank you Meena for providing great service.

Great customer service and very convenient prices. Lol. Similar to the Home Depot (But without the additional 10%) If you show them a cheaper advertisement (I happen to have one on me at the moment) for the liquor, they’ll work with you on a price. People they want your business and liquor stores are on plenty of corners around here, so it’s worth the try.
Note to the Reader: Results may very on «how much you’re purchasing» and perhaps gender helped a bit on this one too. Men please don’t be discouraged and as always, drink responsibly folks!

Always good never gets packed and people there would help and they know their liquors I always say good and friendly service always gets the customers back…

I stopped by here once before and the experience was OK. I was in need of some holiday libations so I decided to give them another try — mostly because it was close and the traffic was getting on my nerves.
After picking up some bottles of champagne, some Kahlua, I got in line and paid my $ 55. While I was waiting for the credit card to go through I glanced up and saw a $ 200 bottle of Dewar’s and I thought, «What a great gift for me.» I asked the guy helping me how old it was. He took down the bottle but could not tell. He said he would have to check with the owner, who was helping another customer. I said sure, no problem, as my mouth watered.
He asked her and response was this:
«I can’t hold up the line right now to answer those questions — you can come back another time.»
My jaw dropped! First, this was just unbelievably bad customer service. My second thought was how could she basically turn down a potential $ 200 sale. I already spent over $ 50 with no help, so it is not like it was not possible. The guy behind me said, «If this was my store I would stop the line for a $ 200 sale!»
I try to support local mom and pop places whenever possible. I realize these people have a lot more to gain (or, in this case loose) and typically the service is superior. For future reference, I will just go to Publix or elsewhere. That way I will not be as shocked when I am treated so badly.

As far as liquor stores go, West Kendall Liquors is just OK.
It’s located right on Kendall Drive, next to the Party City. Parking is a pain since the lot located right in front of the store is small and cramped. The store itself is pretty small, but they are stocked with all the basics. Great place to stop by if you’re just looking for a generic bottle of liquor or wine.
