Winn-Dixie

Been shopping at this neighborhood since their grand re-​opening in 2000? I like it since it’s so convenient and near my home. Preferably, I would rather go to Publix. I find the prices on alot of grocery items extremely high. I try to purchase sale item and really try with a coupon. They offer a pharmacy which I’m very content with, they fill your prescription quickly and the main pharmacist, (Tere) us always willing to assist. They also have a café, that serves coffee, cuban pastries, soda, and sandwiches. I would recommend coming to this store, just because of the location.

I’ll say for the area it’s in it’s a nice Winn-​Dixie.
I usually hit this location up during lunch in the event I forget something or know I’m going need more food than I brought in that day.
The store is pretty clean. I will say the produce is good. I usually have no issues every finding what I need and the quality is alright too.
I would’t come here if I didn’t have to, but guess I’m glad it’s there.

I haven’t been reviewing that many restaurants lately since I have been pursuing fitness (see my LA Fitness review) and either making my own food or picking up Lean Cuisine trays.
This Winn Dixie is close enough to my house, so it has points for convenience. They have modernized it within the past year — they changed the «institutional granite» floor to wood finishes around the produce section, for example.
They have a pretty wide selection of produce and I haven’t had any spoilage issues with the vegetables. There’s also an in-​store deli where they’ll slice meats for you and have some prepared lunch as well — typically Latin staples which are a little heavy for my diet.
One thing they lack is organic orange juice and have the carb heavy commercial brands and fruit punches. They also don’t seem to stock much of the organic /​Greek yogurts («Chobani» brand) which is a part of my nutrition plan. The lines at the cash registers can move a little slow, and they limit all of the self-​pay machines to 10 items or less.
On the other hand, this is the only grocery store where I’ve heard reggaton on the sound system!
