The lines are horrible since they removed the self checkout lanes. The employees aren’t helpful and they aren’t open 24 hours.

Really good lunch deals! Horrible employees. The employees just sit on their phones and ignore you when you need help at self check out.

Not all Winn Dixie’s are created equal, hit this location on the weekend, If they weren’t secretly filming a scripted «reality» show when I was there Sunday my faith in humanity has been restored.
Walking into this place was like walking onto the set in a major motion picture politically-​correct Grocery store scene, every other person was every other ethnicity.
(It’s located where a few different neighbors meet.)
It was pretty cool, especially because everyone seemed to be in a good mood, weird LOL.
This store was refurbished 5 years ago and it’s starting to show, meaning it’s starting to get a little tattered around the edges but is in better shape than most Winn Dixies in the area. It is pretty clean all things considered.
The two things that stand out are the produce and steaks.
Winn Dixie used to call themselves ‘The Beef People’ and they really were, it was next to impossible to find thinly cut steaks in their stores. Over the years the economy and neighborhood tastes have changed that about the locations I go to, for example East Miramar becoming mostly Caribbean so they focus more on Chicken and Goat etc.
This store to my surprise had pretty decent looking steaks and many more on display than I’m used to.
The produce department was the largest and most impressive I myself have seen in a Winn Dixie in a very long time, everything was super fresh and the variety was crazy.
If you’re a vegetable lover like myself, it’s worth you driving a little farther just to come here for the veggies.
We stopped in after a long day out and unfortunately my phone was dead, I’ll add pic’s on next visit.
End of the actual «review», if you have a boring life and nothing else to do continue reading if you like. Something I found funny cool happened when checking out.
Older Hispanic guy in front of me checking out had a large bottle of Crystal Hot Sauce, I reached over the customer items divider bar thingy and acted as if I was going to grab his, jokingly saying «You don’t mind do you, I forgot to get some for my huge bag of chicken wings». Not only did he laugh he replies «No way, need it for our Game Of Thrones Party tonight!» then the Gamer looking kid checking us out get’s really excited and says «Yes Game Of Thrones!!, we role-​play and I’m Jon Snow!» (he really looked a lot like Jon Snow) Everyone was laughing with and at us.
What made it funny cool, for me anyways, was all walks of life in the store and finding out all walks of life love one of my favorite shows.

Super sad that this Winn Dixie is no longer open 24 hours. I work long hours and having this Winn Dixie open 24 hours sure did help out a lot. The staff is very nice the produce are very good and everything is always in stock.

It really stinks that they are no longer open 24 hours I didn’t realize how often I shopped after hours and till I no longer can do it!

This local WD is in the heart of California Club area in the Ives Dairy area just west of I-​95.
They have updated this store and it has significantly beautified the produce section. The produce section is by far one of my favorites in the area because it carries a large variety of produce that you can’t even find in the nearest local large market just west of it.
Thumbs up for the renovation and the produce section… Keep up the good work!

My local Winn Dixie has had a makeover!!! Which means to me its here to stay and so is my buddy Edward the fish guy.
I’ve been watching this makeover take place for about two months now and never once has it interfered with my shopping (actually, its been a bonus because as they renovated they’ve had to clear inventory so we’ve been picking up awesome bargains). It seems to me that Winn Dixie have made a HUGE improvement in their customer service overall in the past year, especially in the two I frequent in Aventura and here at California Club, to the point where I feel more than comfortable going here and knowing I’m getting as good as what I would get at Publix which was my store of choice.
With four self service checkout points now for people buying less than 20 items, the lines are not as long as they were in the past and the selection of products and the freshness of their produce is very impressive.
And…its a 24 hour store. Gotta love that coming home late from Unilocal events or when home parties run late ;)

Everytime i go to this winn dixie, it always seems understaffed at the checkout. Even though winn dixie has arguably the best deals, the produce section/​meats doesnt always look «good». Example. I bought a couple of onions there. Brought it home on the same day, cut it open to see BLACK stuff inside… gross. thew every single onion i bought that day away and decided to never buy produce at winn dixie again. I would rather go to the publix near the barnes and noble, chef allen plaza. It has a better selection of produce and cheeses, and ive never had a problem with that publix…
That onion still haunts me everytime i drive by that winn dixie… scary stuff

It started with my mom telling me about this winn-​dixie. I wanted to go to Publix but it was already 11 and they close by then. I had to get all I need for the next day or I wouldn’t get the chance to make Ralphie his wraps that has all the ingredients. I also needed detergent!
Then Mom goes: Melissa, there’s a 24 hour one up in Ives Dairy. Let’s go there.
Wow, I didn’t think they’d be 24 hours. Another place to go to pick up stuff, not just the Hallandale Beach’s Walmart. Cool!
The only down side is that unless you use their deals, most things are more money than the items at Publix.
