Loooooove the design district and this store is located in the heart of it. A must is the second floor, chock full of bargains. Plan to spend a bit of time. And money.

Fancy Y3 but not a fan of the price tag? Join the club. And head upstairs to their sale department. You’ll find the second floor has some marked down items and the space also plays host to the Silver(line in between Adidas and Y3) collection. Overall, a great way to get a Y-3 bargain.

This is the first Y-3 Boutique in the Nation. The New York store opened a few months afterwards. Y-3 is designer modern sportswear. Basic clothing like Polo shirts, T-Shirts, Shorts are transformed into much more sophisticated pieces of clothing that will have you stand out from the crowd. Basic colors are very well represented, but Y-3 also takes some bold steps with shades of Yellows, Greens and Red that will catch the eye of others. The staff is helpful and attentive. The sneakers are shoes that you can away with wearing in some settings where the common sneaker won’t cut it. Last but not least there are limited numbers of everything so if you don’t get it you may not get it. Get me?

When outside the office, away from the desk or strutting about town, style savvy patrons, and the metros in between, shop at Y-3 for their go-to daily wear. Outfit yourself in this perfect weekday clothing from the stylish boutique which has fashionably expanded Miami’s Design District. The spot fits right in with its surroundings quietly boasting its minimal look and cool vibe, as well as Y-3’s first flagship store. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the brand, Y-3 is little brother to high-end fashion label Yohji Yamamoto. The diffusion line prides itself on its Japanese edge paired with a sports appeal. During Art Basel 2007, the store collaborated with several artists, showcasing a video venue on its secluded second story called Electronic Arts Intermix. Needless to say, it was amaaaaazzzzinnnngg. And the goodie bag wasn’t too bad either. I adore their quirky yet fun accessories with a dose of urban fashionista. Be sure to grab a couple of the season’s finest when you’re down in the Design District. Expect to pay designer prices.

y-3 is the new designer line from adidas & yohji yamamoto. i’ve been walking by this store for months while they’ve been renovating the space, wondering what the hell was it going to be. and now i know, and knowing is half the battle. the store fits the clothing well. clean lines. edgy. mostly blacks, whites, grays, but with fun blasts of color here and there. very urban. clothes, bags, shoes. so, just to be clear… it’s not athletic gear, it’s designer clothing. y-3 started with those b.a. sneakers that everyone wanted but were continuously sold out. and now it’s a whole clothing line and i guess they’ve been selling y-3 in the US already(at like bloomies and stuff), but i hear this is the first exclusive y-3 boutique store. and i think it’s a welcome addition.
