I think I have ordered from this restaurant maybe 50 times. I have tried to debunk them by ordering from different Chinese take outs before but, they are the champ in the area.

Yi-Wong will forever hold a special place in my heart. My family and I have been ordering take-out from this little«hole in the wall» for as long as I can remember. And even as the years go by, they never fail to please! Their Fried Rice is uh-mazinggg & so is there Wonton Soup. Overall, EVERYTHING here is pretty much super delicious. Highly highly recommend!

I only give it 2 stars and that is due to the excellent egg rolls. The service was almost non existent. The honey chicken was not all that great. Deep fried, battered chicken with honey drizzled over it? The other chicken dish we had was deep fried crunch, no taste at all! I wish I just made a meal of the egg rolls and called it done.

Consistently good — been ordering here for years and it it’s always been good. Special fried rice, crab Rangoons, chow mein, honey chicken … It’s all good!

Yi-Wong is your typical Americanized Chinese food joint, the kind of place that is more apt for takeout than for dining in, judging by the Spartan décor and the few tables around. Their prices are very reasonable, despite a Unilocaler claiming they are expensive. With about $ 10, you get a soup(choice of wonton or eggdrop), spare ribs, an eggroll, an entrée of your choice, and pork fried rice, and that’s the dinner price. I am sure lunch prices are even lower. They serve a decent amount of vegetables with their entrees and portions are rather large, too. I have yet to see a Chinese restaurant that gives out spare ribs as part of their combo meals, so that was great. Service here is somewhat spotty and not overly friendly, but my Szechuan chicken had an odd, somewhat chewy texture, which I attribute to undercooked chicken. Luckily, I was full by the time I finished the soup, the spare ribs, and egg roll so I took my leftovers home. I made two days’ worth of dinner from it(yes, you really DO get a lot of food!), zapped it in the microwave, and the chicken was no longer chewy, but tender. As I stated, their portions are quite generous. I think two people can easily split an entrée without being hungry at all.

I’m Chinese, my father had small Chinese restaurants his entire working life so I feel quite able to comment on Chinese food. This little place is primarily takeout but have a few tables to eat in. Each dish is expertly cooked by someone who can weild a wok. I noticed in each dish the generous use of what my dad taught me were high priced ingredients… these include cashews, water chestnuts, bell peppers and so on. Next time you go to a Chinese restaurant notice rhe ratio of these to say, onion, in your dish. At Yi Wong they bring their A cooking game. It’s inexpensive and clise to FIU sounth campus if you’re looking for a quick and economical bite to eat. They do the usual lunch and dinner combos for a few sheckles.

Hands down, best take-out Chinese food west of the turnpike! The honey chicken is fabulously glazed, crunchy with plenty of white chicken. They are mostly chicken unlike some of the others around town which have a soggy thick batter with tiny chunks of chicken and a watered down honey sauce. The house special fried rice is also one of my faves. Fluffy rice with lots of ham, pork, egg, shrimp, bean sprouts, etc. The only reason I have to steer away from a perfect 5 star review is because like most Chinese restaurants in strip malls, the interior is dingy and not very inviting. I only do take-out or pick up if I do not want to wait. Perfect for a night in accompanied by your favorite show or movie!

There’s no other Chinese place like this one. I can get the same food everytime and not get tired of it! Best fried rice ever! Can make adjustment if asked. I love the Pepper Steak!

This is my go to Chinese restaurant! We eat from here at least twice a month lately and have been ordering food from here for over 10 years. Their servings are huge and last till the next day usually. Every meal we have ordered is delicious! My favorite is the beef lo mein with extra carrots. Also great, Special fried rice Pork and chicken sweet and sour Wonton soup Cream cheese wontons Ribs We mostly do pick up because the place is very small, about 5 tables. Though their phone service could use some help they deliver very quickly! They sometimes take a little bit to get your food out but they are super busy all the time!

Excellent food. Horrible service. The old lady is really rude. If the service matches the taste then I would give them 5 stars!

You sometimes don’t know how good you have it until you lose it. How I wish we lived closer to Yi Wong again. Best fried rice in town! Actually anything from there.

My review may be a bit biased because I have been ordering from this place for years. There are a myriad of Chinese Take-Out places in Miami, and everyone has that one place they consider to be «the best, most amazing, awesome, spectacular, chinese food in the universe» place. Well, this one is mine… My typical order is the special fried rice, honey chicken, crab rangoon, and two egg rolls. Once in a while, I order the General’s Chicken or the Beef with Brocolli(both amazing) The Lo-Mein is spectacular as well and never greasy. Give it a try once in while, and always call ahead with ample time for pick-up. They deliver to the general area and their prices are very reasonable. Here’s a tip — You may need to call a few times, because of demand you may get a busy signal. So be patient and hit redial on your phone… Enjoy!
