Today, 2-7-2016 @ 11:00am was the last time I will be going there. I am a person that is reasonable but the manager is rude and has no customer service. At that she does not speak English and she look at me like you need to know Spanish. The food is not good the eggs and toast was cold and there famous chicken rice is not even good! It’s sad but this place needs to close down!!!

Este Restaurant es fama nada más, el servicio es igual de malo como si fuera en Cuba, la comida es mala y se demora mucho, el trato es remalicimo y balsero total. No lo recomiendo para nada. Cambien sino se quedan atrás.

My experience was short. Visited as I waited for dentist appointment(office across the street). Ordered a pan con tortilla and malteada at bar. Staff was quick, helpful, and nice. Annoying factor: radio blasting a radio station, even during commercials. I am usually busy feeding toddler and turning things out, but today I sat alone and had the pleasure of NOT enjoying a relaxing atmosphere.

I wrote a previous review that had to be amended. I ordered over the phone an hour before going to pick up. When I got there I thought the to go bag to the side was mine. I was quickly corrected by the rude girl working when she snapped«those are her’s not yours». Fine, so I wait and I ask when will mine be ready since I did call and give plenty of time, she said calm down they’re making it. UMWHAT? when I check my food, I can tell she spit in my beans. Appalled/furious does not even describe how I felt. When I took it back all I said was I want new beans these ones look funny, and she didn’t even question it just replaced it. You know damn well a normal person who did not spit in your food would inquire as to WHY you wanna replace«fresh» beans.

First time and last time there. The place was busy so I thought it was a good sign. I ordered masitas. What I got was some small pieces of pork that where either overcooked or just fat. The moros tasted old as in re-heated multiple times. About the only edible thing were the 2 tostones.

Delicious food at great prices. Tastes just like the food my Cuban grandma used to make. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend it :)

Close to home, clean, good service. The menu is a bit limited. They have daily specials that are very authentic Cuban food. I love their arroz con pollo! The portions are reasonable and the price is excellent. This is our go to restaurant for take out and breakfast.

Super cheap if you don’t mind the tasteless food you’re in for a treat lol do not expect for the staff to pay attention to you or even acknowledge you. It’s simply not that type of place. Vaca frita is dry. The crema de malanga is delish but honestly you can’t mess that up! Tamales are good. Again notice how the simplistic foods of course are amazing. If you venture to order anything that remotely takes skill hold your breath hoping for a good meal as its cooked because odds are… it won’t be to your liking. Again if you have cheap pockets you better have a liberal pallet for yoyitos.

I stopped by for breakfast and was so disappointed. First of all– the waiter did not know a word in English. Second of all– she messed up 2 orders and forgot coffee — which was all hard to explain cause she did not know English… do not visit! Horrible service, food not good anyway.

Decided to give this restaurant a try since its nearby. I had the arroz con pollo and my wife had a palomilla steak. We both had sweet plaintains with our meals and they were delicious. The service was good and when i went to the bathroom to wash up noticed that it was very clean. So i would return another day and try something else in their menu. This restaurant is not expensive at all.

Cheap cold cuban meals. Cold ham and cheese sandwich for four dollars is cheaper than subway. Giving it the two star rating. Parking lot is difficult to park in this older style shopping center. The restaurant appears to have been updated along with the menu. The staff’s sassy attitude remains the same. Dirt or ashes in the ice will for sure not have me return to the location. From the amount of photographs, you can tell that the restaurant has a great history but it’s hard to tell if it will survive into the future on the path it’s going.

Horrible. Grease city… My husband and I went yesterday for their famous Arroz con Pollo. The bread was soaked in oil, the salad was fine, the platanitos maduros were hard, fat, black, and full of grease. Normally they should be sliced thinly and be golden brown. Now here comes the entrée. The arroz con pollo was swimming in grease. They put chicken legs(2) under the rice. The experience was terrible. This restaurant is located on 82 ave and I live on 87th avenue. In route home on 84th avenue, I though I was dying. Horrible stomach cramps, Needless to say that I was sick all night. My husband got sick right after. Never again.

It was a cold night and we were starving. Stopped by the new location and it was pretty full. Stood by the door waiting to be seated and no one acknowledged us. We decided to find our own table and we couldn’t make up our mind as to which dirty table we would sit at. After standing by one for a few minutes, and having waitress after waitress pass us by without saying a word, we decided to leave. The food looked good. The restaurant has great parking and it was full. Too bad we couldn’t try it. I gave it three stars because of the mentioned above and because I’m willing to give it another try.

I thought this place was going to be a success but I was wrong. I previously had given them four stars but evidently I was wrong. On several occasions I called to pick up food and they got my order all wrong. The customer service for take out is ridiculous and unprofessional. I asked for the manager and they said he wasn’t there and they didn’t know his name. So I called the Hialeah yoyitos to see if he was there and what his name was they told me his name was Andy and that he was in fact in the Miami location. So I called back and asked if the managers name was Andy and she became flustered. I order 2 steak sandwiches plain and a pechuga a la plancha at 3:24 at 4:15pm they only had one pan con bistec with everything which isn’t what I asked for and a pechuga. So one of my kids stayed without anything. On a prior occasion I ordered three pechuga de pollo and a large chicken soup and when I get there she says«se acabo la sopa de pollo» really? She should have told me that initially. This is poor management. There is a serious problem there. I would rather International Cafeteria it was awesome and the staff were so sweet and kind. If yoyitos staff is not happy they should really find somewhere else to work. I rather go to El Rinconcito at least the employees are kind.

My wife and I drive past Yoyito Cafeteria at least twice every day so Saturday afternoon, we decided to eat lunch. When we entered, they were about 25% full so of course there were quite a few empty tables. That’s when the problems began. Every empty table was dirty. Some had dishes on them while other had cola cans, napkins, straws and pieces of food. We sat at the least dirty table nearest the counter that had crumbs, napkins, and had water or cola spilled on the it. We waited and we waited for about 10 minutes but no one even had the common courtesy to acknowledge we were there even though we counted six staff with black shirts and two others who we assumed were managers. Two staff were waiting on other tables but the rest were talking and laughing and having a good time. Finally, one person approached our table, picked up the straw and napkin, DIDNOT wipe the table, DIDNOT offer a menu and DIDNOT come back. By the way, four or five wait staff were still behind the counter talking. My wife and I waited a few more minutes but no one came to the table or even looked our direction. At that point we left. This is one place I will never go to again and if it come up conversationally, rest assured both my wife and I will let everyone know about our experience.

Came on Sunday to try their specialty Arroz con Pollo a la chorrera. It comes with sweet plantains all for around $ 7. Let me tell you waiting all week for my cheat meal was definitely worth it. It was delicious! The food alone deserves 5 stars. The only thing missing to make the meal perfect was an avocado salad they were out today. This is a new location and the restaurant. The décor is very simple and clean. You walk in and sit yourself if you see an empty table. However it was very packed, not an empty table. We just had good timing grabed a table for 2 right away. However don’t come here starving, come with a positive attitude and prepared to wait. We sat at our table for a while before we were brought a menu, posted some pics of the menu on Unilocal so you can make your selections while you wait. Waited some more and were brought some water and bread. Waited some more and order was taken and then finally the food and drinks arrived and all was well in the world. I don’t blame our waitress, she was very nice, just seems very overwhelmed, they are understaffed. She had soo many table to attend to. There was 2 old Cuban ladies sitting next to us that had been waiting for a long time as well and I hear one lady go to the waitress we need food the doctor prescribed it, if not we need to call the rescue… lol what an excuse to get your food expedited! Yoyito the owner was made awareof every ones long wait time, he apologized and later came by to make sure our dessert and cafecito came out. We will definitely come back, the food was that good! I already have a list of items I want to try. Hoping for speedier service next time, this really is a great family restaurant.

Glad they finally opened in Miami. Simple and casual, Cuban restaurant. Come here for the their specialty arroz con pollo a la chorrera on Sunday, which they claim is the best in the U. S and most likely it is. Their quality is superb, large portions and great prices. Good assortment of homemade cuban food. They even have guarapo, frituritas de malanga and casquitos de guayaba. Definitely a must go.

Great family owned Cuban restaurant. Friendly service with delicious and authentic Cuban cuisine. The portions are generous and their daily specials are a great array of Cuban specialties.
