Husband’s childhood favorite — slightly spicy, tangy vs sweet sauce, classic nearly New York style(not quite foldable) pizza.

When I am in Dayton I usually try to alternate between Cassanos and Marions and try not to favor one over the other. Don’t want to upset the locals, start riots, etc. Lets just say I like both pizzas :-) First off, the pizza was great. Cassanos has never disappointed here. Their pepperoni pizza can be a little spicy which is always welcome to me and I tend to like their crust a little better than Marions. For those that are not familiar, the pizza is really thin, crispy and cut into 2×2 inch squares or smaller. If you plan on getting a pizza from this location, please, please, please — get it to go! While it’s not a typical sit down pizza joint(like Marions), this location had about 6 tables; it’s basically your typical pizza sweat shop with a few tables out front. This place had to be the dirties place I have ever seen serve food. I’ve see Mexican trucks in stripper club parking lots that would rank higher than this place. I counted NOLESS than 12 bugs in the short wait for our food — and I wasn’t trying to find them. Additionally, my friend, who just used the bathroom, gave it a big thumbs down and said he saw weeks old porta potties that were cleaner. The floors were dirtiest and the front windows might have never see a drop of Windex. This was at lunch! Also it took 3 tries, but the 2-litter bottle of pop we kept getting were all out of date. TL;DR: Great pizza, bad, bad, bad eating area. Get pizza and go find a park to eat.
