My wife daughter and I(along with our lap-dog) stayed here for 6 days. We moved all our stuff in the midst of an uncharacteristic deluge, the first room we got was one of the disabled-friendly rooms, as these come with mini fridges(we needed this as we were staying here for several days with a milk drinking toddler). As I said, the day we got there it was POURING rain(flash flood warnings in SW Ohio) and we were SOAKED. We were expecting a clean dry room to relax from our mad dash to get all our worldly goods inside. And it seemed clean enough for $ 50 a day. The first thing we noticed was the disabled type shower in the bathroom. When I took a shower, I noticed that the water did not go down the drain hardly at all. It went 1 – 2 feet past the floor-type shower drain in the shower out into the bathroom and almost going into the carpeted area of the main room,(the mat and my clothing on the floor were soaked). My wife COULDN’T stand not having somewhere in the bathroom to put her toiletries. The second thing we noticed that the moisture in the air and the humidity was such that none of our clothing or belongings were drying out even after being laid out to dry several hours and sitting overnight. We requested a different room and told the staff about the very slow shower drain and possible water damage they may have sustained over the last few stays. They didn’t seem to have a problem moving us. The cable TV channels seem to have markedly improved considering what other reviewers have posted, what did stink was their free Wi-Fi. You would have your phone or device linked to the Wi-Fi one second and three seconds later it would be disconnected without even moving about in the room. I’ve never been in a hotel or motel that had such a crappy Wi-Fi service. They have free coffee and hot water inside the main lobby, but it is a long walk to any other types of services, facilities, or stores. Kind of a pain when money is tight, and you don’t want to eat out at the Bob Evans for every meal. 2 stars for the cheap price, and because the staff(though everyone smelled headache-inducingly bad of cigarette smoke) were willing to let us relocate to a drier room.

Excellent Service — Good night’s sleep First off — it’s a Red Roof Inn. You stay here because you don’t want to spend alot and want a decent night’s sleep. This Inn is perfect for that. The staff is excellent and the rooms have everything you need. The wifi is fine — don’t understand the other reviewers complaint. Great location just off the highway. The staff went out of their way to help — even sent us back a pillow that we had left. You don’t see service like that too often. Thanks!

It’s a perfectly acceptable motel, but the devil is in the details. During my two night stay: –in no way proactively warned until AFTER getting checked-in that a High School Marching Band was also staying there(thankfully, they quieted down by-ahem-midnight…) –weird floral-chemical smell to the room –visibly stained bed sheets(washed, just permanently stained) –no surface to keep toiletries in the bathroom(reserved an ADA room with a pedestal sink(reserved due to pricing, not personal requirement)) –the slowest wi-fi you’ve encountered since the 1990s(«Free wi-fi» means it is included as part of your price… you ARE still paying for it and, as such, can have an expectation of speed) –dim ceiling lighting coupled with 2 lights over the bed, each with a different-colored lampshade –lumpy carpet The devil is in the details, especially with several other hotels around the same price-point in the area. This was just… complacent. Even at $ 75 a night, I feel I overpaid.
