I liked the food! I can’t believe it already closed! :( I am sure that they would’ve fixed the kinks if they stayed open longer. BOO

For a restaurant that is called«burger bar» the burgers were terrible. They were small, thin, dry, and had to be made from a frozen patty. Both the bf and I ordered«build your own burgers», the bison was a waste of money as per previous description of the burgers. Both burgers were ordered medium and came out well done. The bacon I added on mine was cold. The boyfriend declared at the end of the meal, «this shouldn’t be called the burger bar… it should be called the beer cheese bar. That was the only thing worth paying for here!» And the only reason I gave the place 3 stars. I tried the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow fondue. It was a little sweet for me, but much better than my burger. Would have been nice to see actual dinnerware used instead of paper cafeteria-ware. Overpriced for quality of food given. I don’t mind paying $ 15 for burgers that are delicious but burger bar burgers didn’t measure up. John Taffer could definitely work some magic here.

I visited burger bar and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food they offer. The atmosphere is pretty chill, and they have artwork hanging up downstairs from local artists. I didn’t visit the upstairs part. I ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start. The bread they served with the dip was fresh and I think fried or baked I’m not sure, but it was very good bread. The artichoke dip was full of artichokes which was great, but the dip tasted a little weird to me, it was just too creamy for my taste. For my main meal, I ordered their buffalo burger, you can build your own burger, but they have«pre-built» burgers, so I went that route. The buffalo was really good, I ordered it medium, and it was cooked perfectly. The bun seemed like a basic bun, I would have preferred some options for the bun, maybe a pretzel bun. I had sweet potato fries as my side, and they were awesome! They were waffle cut, which was great for dipping into the marshmallow fondue. That’s right, they offer marshmallow fondue as a side for your sweet potato fries! It was $.75 extra, but well worth it. The fries were perfectly crispy as well. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and didn’t miss a beat when it came to refills etc. Parking could be a challenge, it’s pretty much street parking, but it’s not that bad. I had to park on Franklin and walk over(about a 30 second walk). When I originally saw the menu & the layout of the restaurant I was worried I would like this place, it just seemed like there was too much going on. I’m glad I gave it a shot. There was an event happening upstairs the night I went, but I honestly couldn’t tell. The waitress just told me there was an event upstairs.

Stopped here on the road to grab a bite. Great food and service! Throughout the restaurant there is a display of art from local artists on sale.

My husband and I went here for lunch after shopping at the Lighthouse outlet. Based on other recommendations we had the spinach dip. Awesome! It came with little soft flat breads which were garlic and salty! The spinach dip didn’t have much spinach, but it did have a lot of cheese. We each built our own bison burger. The burgers were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The bun melted in your mouth. Service was attentive and friendly. I was also excited to see they had Upland Wheat on draft. Price for app, 2 bison burgers, 2 beers and 2 cokes was $ 54. We will definitely return.

I have a very mixed review of this restaurant. The food is wonderful. The food that I ate/tasted was great. However, we had SO many problems with our orders and poor service that unless their servers/kitchen staff get some serious training I don’t see myself going back anytime soon. I notice that someone from the company has checked the Unilocal page and commented, so I hope that some of these issues will be addressed. I really did love the food that I got, but the service was atrocious and I can’t in good faith go back or recommend this restaurant unless some of these issues are addressed. The problems are: Kitchen or Server Mistakes: I was with a group of 7 coworkers. Out of our group, five out of our seven orders came out wrong(whether it be wrong sides, wrong toppings, missing toppings, etc). Most of the table did do the build your own burger. I personally had a chicken sandwich that was missing mushrooms and I was given sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. When the server brought out our food she had to poke around to attempt to figure out which order was what, before she gave us our orders and asked us to poke around instead because she didn’t want to touch our food. I can understand that, but the thing is all of us had to touch each other’s food to try to identify what orders were what, so she isn’t really changing the number of people who had to touch it to figure orders out. There needs to be an easier system of identifying whose orders is whose for the build your own burger. Length of Cook Time: It took over 45 minutes for our entrees to be cooked and served. I did see other tables that came in after us receiving food before ours came out. Service: There were large gaps of times when we weren’t checked on for additional drinks or refills. Miscalculations on Checks: The checks came back and many of them were mischarged. People were charged premium topping when the toppings were listed under regular toppings. Some got charged toppings they didn’t order. I personally got charged for pineapple topping which is explicitly listed under the pick up to three toppings section(my order was a chicken sandwich with mayo, mushrooms, onions, pineapple, garlic aioli and mayo, and then a fried egg and bacon for the additional premium toppings). When I mentioned it to the server she took it to the manager who insisted that pineapple was a premium topping. When I pointed this out clearly as stated on the menu they credited that back. If someone from management would like to talk to me, I am more than happy to provide feedback. I haven’t had this poor of service in a restaurant in a while and I’m almost never compelled to the point to give a bad review. It’s a pity because the food is good.

We started with the spinach artichoke dip — I think I’m in love! It came out hot, creamy and cheesy… just the way I like it! The garlic rounds that it is served with were fried golden brown and seasoned to perfection! Yummm! I had the Philly Sliders for the main course and they were delicious! My side was the 6 cheese baked mac. It definitely had 6 cheeses! It was really good, but maybe just a little less cheese would be better. The food was so good, I had to return! I built my own burger and chose the chicken with mozzarella, arugula, tomato, onion and roasted garlic aoli… delicious although I’d love to have a couple of choices for buns(whole wheat or pretzel bun maybe). I had the fries for my side this time :) I left ridiculously full on both visits!

First time visit tonight and the food was amazing. I had thier Inferno Burger and it is a burger that I will definitely revisit after i try one of their many other different types of burgers. There was a bit of a wait tonight to be seated however that didn’t hinder the quickness that my food arrived after ordering. The wait staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable of their product which helped in narrowing down my choice. The portions given for my meal were definitely worth the cost, i definitely didn’t leave hungry or broke. I will definitely recommend Burger Bar to friends and family. I can’t wait to visit again.

Not busy, yet they brought 3, yes THREE, wrong meals to us, 2 Build it Yourself burgers. After the third, we needed to leave, as we had been there for quite awhile and had to get home before our son got of the bus. Other people there after us got their meals. Two 2 tops. We did get the beer cheese dip, which was extremely good. Nice older building. Our waitress was very nice. Very apologetic about the wrong orders, yet we had to leave without tasting any of our order. There’s a bar part, with a family room part. We may go back for a second try.
