An amazing selection of craft beer in the area. Picked up multiple Three Floyds, with plenty of additional options for my friends during the visit. Expect to lose sense of time if you came in not knowing what you wanted. There’s just so much available. Parking is available on the left side of the shop. A little bit more lighting could be appreciated during the late hours. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, decent prices all around. Look forward to coming back here for more.

This place is great. We were coming in to visit a friend’s summer home and had to pick up some liquor late night. It’s open until midnight so that’s great. And the guy behind the counter was super friendly and social. Even gave me some tips on the bottle of whiskey I was buying.

In my opinion, King Richard’s is the best liquor store in Michigan City. The people who work there are friendly and the selection is great. They have a wide variety of IPA’s. Every time I go there I try something new. Also, the customer service is fantastic!

I like King Richard’s a lot. It’s got one of the best craft beer selections in the area, probably a little different than Pat’s in Porter. As far as other spirits go, I’m not sure, you’ll have to ask somebody else, as I only drink beer. They have a variety of beer in sixers AND in bombers. Decent prices as well. A guy from Houston who used to come here for work asked them if they could get Jever Pils in. The manager said yes and had a case of Jever for the guy when he came back the next month. I’m not sure how he got that back to Houston. They also will refill your CO2 bottle if you have a keg setup or a homebrew setup. So that’s good to know, especially when Praxair in Hobart is closed on Saturdays.

King Richard’s, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways… 1) Hella good selection of craft beers in six packs and bombers. I scored my highly sought after ‘Where Lizards Dare’ and got some Alpha King to boot just because it was there. In stock. Without having to stalk the store for shipments like back home. 2) Excellent customer service. Really nice and accommodating people. 3) Good location right on the main drag of town. It was also brightly lit so as to scare off the zombies and other undesirables. The only downside is that it is kind of small and a little dingey(how the hell do you spell that word?). It’s not like I’m licking the outside of the bottles though so who really cares as long as they carry good shit? There is also Nag Champa burning and I’m pretty sure Ravi Shankar was playing in the background, so if you are allergic to hippies, stay away. King Richard… until next time.
