Holy crap. Haines is just amazing. Their bacon is to die for – thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. I recently bought a few pounds to make bacon candy and it was jut divine. Their sausage is great and they also sell a really good Delmonico steak. Call ahead and you’ll be good to go.

Stepping into Haines Pork store is like stepping back in time. The best butcher I have ever gone to, period. Very reasonable prices, exceptional quality and the best customer service you could ask for. The bacon is the best and in store made rub is wonderful! I cannot recommend this place enough!

All of the breakfast chit chat on the ‘Fried or Fertilized’ thread reminded me of this store here… This butcher is exactly what is stated in the name… Pork, and only pork… Everything pork related is cut and made here… Crown roast, ribs, tenderloins, chops, etc… They make their own scrapple, grind their bulk sausage, huge sausage links, and they have their own smokehouse where they smoke their bacon and other meats. I stopped in this past week just for some sausage and bacon. During holiday times, you can order fresh hams and fresh killed turkeys… This store is located behind a home, down a 100 ft driveway… Remember that this store is roughly 100 years old. How it looked and where it was located when it originally opened is still exactly the same today. Not located in a shopping center, no South Of The Border type signs to warn you that you’re almost there, getting close, or that you’ve passed it. Just some very nice early 1900’s homes along a road that has a couple farms and some wooded areas. The only modern convenience is the ¼ acre gravel parking lot that’s across the street(sort of). Actually it’s a couple properties away, but still a short walk. No street parking. Considering what they sell, its worth the trip.

Treat yourself and take a trip to this historic Meat shop. Parking is across the street. Great Service. It’s best to place your order by phone, since Saturdays ALWAYS have long lines. Great Cheese cut to order. One walk in the door will make your tummy growl! EVERYTHING is good at Haines. The staff is SPOTON. Need advice on cooking, menus, or serving sizes, Just ask Harry. Make sure you don’t leave without getting a pound of their bacon and a bone for your dog. It’s worth the trip. for over a hundred years this is a WINNER!
