I can’t get them to return a request for an estimate. I sent an email, used their web site form, called and spoke to someone twice who both times said someone would call back. If there was something about the job that I had that was unattractive I sure don’t know what it was. Never got a response, not once at all. Why would you do business with a company that can not be bothered to communicate with a potential customer?

Our next door neighbors hired Dig-M to install their pool so when we needed to install a new 21 foot round pool in our back yard that’s who we called. My wife spoke with one of the owners, Marie, who was very friendly and helpful. She quoted a reasonable price for the work, scheduled our installation for the following week and told us how much sand(for under the pool) and gravel(for around the pool) we should buy. We called a local landscape supply company and had the sand and gravel delivered. The site for the pool was already leveled for a 15 foot soft-sided(blue Walmart) pool and a trampoline, so there wasn’t much leveling left to do. Dig-M sent someone over with a bobcat to remove the sod that had been under the trampoline and make sure everything was level. Keep in mind that the price they quote over the phone is a base price. Dig-M charged $ 150 extra for leveling($ 25 per inch if they have to level more than 6 inches of dirt) so there’s an excellent chance you will pay more than the price they quote. I’ll say it again. Unless you’re installing your pool on an extremely level yard, there’s a really good chance you’ll pay for additional leveling. We asked them to stop by and give us an estimate before they did the work but the guy showed up with his bobcat ready to go. He did a great job and was kind enough to pile the sod in a convenient spot for us. Also, be sure you have plenty of cash because he wanted the $ 150 in cash. The installation crew showed up on the day/time they promised and immediately began spreading sand and setting up the pool. I would recommend that you rake up any small stones before the installation crew arrives. You don’t need any stones working their way up through the sand and piercing the bottom of your pool liner. It would have only taken about 10 minutes and I kicked myself later for not doing this. The guy running the bobcat said the installers would take care of this but they did not. The installers worked quickly(about an hour total) and seemed motivated to get to their next appointment. They supplied brick pavers to put under the pool supports and for under the pump/filter. They set everything up, hooked up the hoses and made sure the pool was level. After they left we found about 20 – 25 leftover screws that came with the pool. Hope they were spares. It took us about a day to fill the pool using garden hoses. We noticed a small leak around the skimmer the following evening and phoned Dig-M to come back and fix it. The woman who answered(not the owner this time) told my wife she would need to contact the pool manufacturer about this(oops! wrong thing to say!). My wife was understandably upset. Later she called back and spoke with the owner. She was very apologetic and sent someone out the next morning to correct the problem. It turned out a few screws around the skimmer needed additional tightening. The pool is up and running now with no further problems. The water level is almost an inch higher on one side of the pool but I find that perfectly acceptable for a 21 foot pool. I am giving them a 3 star A-OK rating.
