Love the lunch. I drove a little extra to try this out and it was worth it.

Where do I begin… The food is unbelievable!!! The Crab Cakes are the best that I’ve ever had. No filler all Jumbo Lump Meat. The soups are amazing and the Md Crab is so good it should win an award. My husband gets breakfast no matter what time of day it is. He loves the pancakes as they not only taste great but they are so big he takes home leftovers. We have been several times and I have tried numerous items. Greek Salad, French Dip, Chicken cheese steak, Gyro’s, Crab Cakes and so much more. No matter what you order you will be completely satisfied. Be sure to save room for dessert when you go. There is a huge selection to choose from. The German Chocolate is so yummy and we always take a piece home. Nikki and Stacey that work there are so kind and nice and make you feel like your family as well as their awesome staff and servers. Way to go Silver Moon we cant wait to come back.

Silver Moon is very consistent in its good food and service. My family has been coming here for eons and I always get the same thing, breakfast for dinner. I sometimes get that massive crabcake and its delicious. I got the meat loaf my last visit and it was like my grandma used to make. I always joke that my only complaint is the menu is too large and it takes me forever to make a choice!

The food is decent. The service is absent. It is fairly typical for a diner experience. I wouldn’t go there for anything other than breakfast foods and sometimes the butter tastes like they mixed it with cotton candy, which isn’t a good thing btw. If you want a quick breakfast to have an awkward conversation over or go somewhere to take a cool Instagram picture of a menu, head on over. It will be exactly like your own kitchen with a slight chance of being worse.

Don’t EVER order take out. We placed a large order from work and they messed it up. Then when we called, they denied we ordered some items. The grilled chicken was overdone and fries were soggy. Crab soup was OK and others said crab cakes were good. They were really rude on the phone and didn’t want to give a refund unless we returned. That’s the first and last time we visit.

Good food, but the owning family is a nasty arrogant bunch. We called looking to price their wonderful chicken noodle soup in a take home, larger batch. The woman that answered the phone said«why do you want know, are you shopping our price?» Screw these people.

The food was okay, not badly done; but nothing special or worth a long trip. I got a greek chicken wrap and the wife got a turkey club(real carved breast, a nice touch) They do seem to do the whole cover the plate /large portions approach to cover for any shortcomings. I think I expected there to be a little feta or a black olive or two in my wrap. It was decently done chicken with italian dressing and lots of iceberg lettuce. Her club was pretty straightforward with one large exception. There was no mayo/dressing on that whole giant thing. The only moisture was the tomato. The server did eventually bring her a tiny plastic cup of mayo(is there a shortage we don’t know about?) The«complaint» I have(and why we may not come back) is this. They need a makeover… When we first walked in there is an overwhelming [old seafood/old grease/cigarettes from years past] smell to the place. Thankfully you go noseblind to it by the time your food comes. I think the workforce must be permanently inured. If I was shooting one of those commercials there I would have a giant crab sitting on top of fish bones on an ashtray. I’m not sure what they could do about that except a total top to bottom deep cleaning/replace fabrics/carpet. Then bring in a stronger ventilation system. I also wonder about the food waste disposal(is that sealed and away from the airflow? I do have to say that there was a lack of welcome feelings, a «distrubance in the Force» as it were. We are a mixed couple, I am Republican and she is a Democrat.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. always great service. Seems like everything thing on there huge menu is good. Love coming here when we can’t make up our minds on where to eat. Plus my wife does not get hassled about her guide dog. Love there cream of crab soup, shrimp bisque and there awesome crab cakes. They also have really good Panini’s that come with fries coleslaw a pickle and a cup of soup makes a really cheap lunch.

The only reason I gave this place an extra star is because of the crab cakes. When I went here with my family the waitress was nasty and ripped the menus out of our hands and told us the menus are expensive we can’t mess them up. After about an hour of awful service customers sitting across from us complained with us as well. We asked to speak to a manager they took our number down and said the owner would be in shortly and would call us… They never called.

Everything about this place is typical diner, except the food was far better than most. The menu is absurdly large — not including the 10 or so daily specials. The soups are outstanding in particular the MD crab and cream of crab. The salads are outstanding as well. Most are $ 12 including a cup of soup and are enough for 2 people. The entrees range in size and price but most are under $ 15. Seafood options hover near $ 20. If you are undecided, get the crab cake. I had the sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had. It gets crowded here at times, especially on weekend mornings. The service tends to keep up and the food comes out amazingly fast, so the wait times are kept manageable.

Date night with my hubby. We ordered one of their specials which came with a rack of ribs, crab cake, baked potato, French fries, cream of crab, and coleslaw. We added a extra crab cake and we paid under $ 40. Can’t beat that. Plus, the food was delicious. I will be returning soon

Real old time diner serving great breakfast, fast, reasonably priced and large portions. Had the corned beef hash and eggs, excellent! Came with hash browns, toast and small juice at a great value. Server was very good and brought water without asking for it and the coffee cup was always full. Good breakfast diner!

One word: cornedbeefandeggs. Our server was friendly and the service efficient. Most important, the food was hot, fresh, and well-made. Classic diner décor inside and out. Left happy. Will come back.

Best crab cakes in Baltimore!!! Best taste and fantastic value. The cream of crab soup is delicious too. Unlike some other restaurants that thicken their soup with cornstarch, Silver Moon uses heavy cream. Some restaurants have been in the news recently for their crab cakes but take it from me, you will not find larger, meatier crab cakes at a better price. I like to go with family and order the(2) crab cake platter and the fried catfish platter. We then each take a crab cake and piece of catfish. Both with bread, soup, salad and vegetable! I highly recommend Silver Moon!

I should start off by saying the service was great. We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive. I also like the décor of the diner. They have a good selection of vegetarian dishes, which is always nice. I had the cream of broccoli soup to start with, which was very good. My dislike came with the actual food in our meals. I ordered the veggie quesadilla, which had absolutely no taste to it. It was completely bland and WAY too hot. I had to use a napkin to hold it and it kept burning my mouth. At one point a mushroom fell out of the quesadilla and landed on my thumb. I’m not even exaggerating when I say I spent the rest of the meal icing the burn on my thumb because the food was that hot. My husband ordered the gyro and said it was good, but he wasn’t a fan of the sauce. His meal was also extremely hot. This was our first time here and we’ll probably give it one more try, but we’ll be trying different dishes.

My husband and I recently bought a house in Middle River and this place is just down the street from us. We typically go here for breakfast though I have had lunch there on occasion. First thing: the portion sizes are huge. With the lower prices than we’re used to(think Double T), I assumed smaller sizes. We’ve yet to finish a meal. We’ve had just about everything on their breakfast menu and everything on it is awesome. Great coffee as well. I’ve had a few of their sandwiches(buffalo chicken wrap) for lunch and that sort of fare is okay, but nothing to write home about. The menu is overwhelmingly huge and it would take me months to sample something from each section. I am assuming most things there are hit and miss. Lastly, we sometimes come here when we want desserts. They have so much stuff, from cheesecakes to cannolis. I had the cannoli and it was wonderfully creamy. No complaints. My husband had an apple turn over that was also incredible. They have cakes, pies, puddings, you name it. The wait staff has always been lovely — at least our waiters. The front staff seems to typically be grumpy and there’s been times when I’ve heard them complaining about their coworkers. The front of the diner is really packed and difficult to move around in, since the check out is inches from the entrance. But service itself has always been quick, warm and friendly once we’re in our seats. Overall: great for breakfast and desserts. Menu has a little too much on it, but otherwise no complaints. Front staff should smile more.

I Moved into the area about a month ago. Decided to try this place. I opted to try the breakfast food. It came very quickly no more than 10 minutes. I was disappointed my eggs has to slice of unmelted cheese just placed on top. The server continued to take plates off the table as if he was in a rush and no it wasn’t busy. My waffle was fine but then again it’s hard to mess up a waffle. I over heard the server behind me telling another customer to stick their finger in the middle of a sandwich to see if it was done and if not she would get it dropped again, meaning it would be cooked more. How unsanitary! Don’t think I will be trying this place again. *Update* so since the owner can’t wait until Donald Trump wins is tired of «ghetto hoes» I can make sure that my friends, family members and I never patronize this establishment. What you post on social media will alway come back to you

Had a great meal. Ordered New York steak with crab cake. Steak was cooked as I ordered and it was great. The crab cake was even better.

1.5 stars I was not at all impressed with this place. I ordered a plethora of things and found everything to be pretty below average. It was busy too, so I expected great things. This is one case in which Unilocal steered me wrong, but in which I should blame myself for being too lazy to drive further. I guess it was my fault for expecting wonderful food from a diner, but the reviews made it seemed like superb, solid diner food and I don’t think it was. I ordered pancakes w/bacon, sausage, scrapple and ham, as well as stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms had way too many shells in them, but weren’t horrible. The pancakes however, were seriously lacking. The meats were just okay. *shrugs* I won’t be back.
