Don’t get me wrong — — — — — -delicious food. Service is horrible. Got the wrong wine first and then second time it tasted like it was sitting out for days. All this took– twenty minutes. My friend got his food first… and was getting cold when I asked where my food was– they said problem with ticket machine in kitchen. Didn’t get an I’m sorry or here is a free diet coke. Then had to tell the girl that maybe my friends food could be warmed up… DUH? Please get it together because food is really good.

Fantastic breakfast! My husband had the Caprese omelette. It was fantastic! The basil really complemented the dish. The Fresco omelette was cooked perfectly and flavorful. I had it with greens. I loved that the dressing came on the side! The dressing was flavorful and not heavy. We were able to use a Groupon, which is an added plus!

Good local spot for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Cute café style. Good coffee, gelato & pastries. The food is decent as well.

The good here is good (for the most part) — their paninis and penne vodka are really good. However, the service at this place is HORRIBLE. Every time you call on the phone, they seem rushed and rude, and there’s a good chance that because of this, they’ll mess up your order. And delivery takes well over an hour. So you’d think it would be better to eat here in person, right? Wrong. You practically have to throw your napkin at the waiters just to get their attention, as they seem disappear after 5 minutes. Overall, I just come here because it’s close-​by, but definitely not for the pathetic customer service. Seriously, whoever owns buon, do yourself a favor and actually read some of these reviews– and hire some new employees dammit.

Once again, an excellent valentine’s day dinner at Buon was had by me and my fiancé. Their prefixe menu was excellent, our entrée was the rib eye steak and let me tell you; it was delicious. The staff was dressed up so nice and very attentive to our table, there was a complimentary glass of wine with our dinner which I unfortunately could only have a few sips of due to having a bun in the oven. It was a lovely evening at our favorite little restaurant and we never hesitate to go back for any meal, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even a gelato.

The restaurant was fast food Italian cuisine. Do not sit next to the booth by the door the breeze from the entrance will ruin your evening. It is bitterly cold. The breaded chicken fingers tasted like rubber chicken, the mozzarella sticks were sandwiches with too much bread and not enough cheese. The fried sea food was too deep fried, the pasta was too boiled the the tomato sauce was good, not to salty. The penne alla vodka tasted like mac and cheese gone bad. The desert is not even from the restaurant you have to get up and pick up your dessert from the café. The cookies and creams tasted stale and bland. One thing that tasted good in the evening was the cannoli it tasted soft light and sweet.

Let me start by saying the food is amazing. Like so good. It’s the only reason I keep coming back. On the other hand, the service is GOD AWFUL! I’m a waitress myself so I know the struggle and I’m really patient with other people in the industry. I’ve been here several times hoping the service would get better but if anything it’s just getting worse and worse. No one greets you when you walk in, eventually they will notice you and tell you to take a seat, you have to wait a long time after that to even receive menus, they never give you the lunch special menu, I literally have timed it and waited 20 minutes before someone even came up to me, they seem miserable like they hate their jobs ALWAYS, when they finally take your order they always mess everything up, they never come back to check on you, you have to hunt the waitresses down for anything you need. They are always standing behind the counter texting and not paying attention. Literally the worst service I have ever received. And I’m so sorry to say this because I’m in the Industry and I like the place! It’s a cool place and there aren’t many trendy places in the neighborhood but Everytime I go there I find myself frustrated by the time I leave because of how bad the service is. The food is beyond amazing though so I keep coming back… But not as often as I would if you have half decent service. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this because I really do like this place.

Buon actually has decent food. Unfortunately, the service is pathetic. And I’ve never once seen a manager, let alone an owner, in the place. I’m done going there. Never again!
I’ve had many bad service experiences there, but my latest is the worst. First, they promised my order would be ready in 10 – 12 minutes. 30 minutes later I was still there waiting. All the while, i overheard calls coming in m to register complaints that their delivery orders were messed up. I heard at least two calls from disgruntled customers.
Then my order finally came out and it was botched. Girl behind counter told me «Oh we had two similar orders, so the delivery guy just left with your order.» She then offered to have my stuff remade only to have her come out a minute later with my sandwiches just having peppers removed. I asked what this was. She said, «I don’t know. It’s what the kitchen gave me.» I asked for a refund and left. I was refunded for my purchase, but not offered an apology.
Lousy and insensitive service is a recipe for losing customers!

Great coffee friendly staff food is also very good for a local spot. Steak panini is amazing and best coffee in the neighborhood I stop here @ least once a day for my caffeine fix.

Boyfriend and I placed an order through seamless from this place and it was one of the worst services we’ve ever experienced. However, we can’t deny the food was still delicious even though it was cold and soggy by then. We had a bad experience through seamless, who resolved nothing by the way, but I decided to give this place a try at dining in.
I’ll agree with the previous comment that this place does seem weird, only because it looks more like a dessert spot than a restaurant. The second you walk in, all you see are gelato and pastries. The dining area seems like your typical Starbucks almost too.
Anyway we grabbed our seat and the service was pretty good. The waiter came and took our order, and it came in a timely fashioned. The food was expected, delicious. My boyfriend ordered the same thing as we did through seamless, the marinated skirt steak, which was delicious. And I ordered baked clams and penne a la vodka… Which my boyfriend ended up stealing after he finished his dish.
The selection of beverages were great as well, I had my usual Cabernet and he had a Stella. And it was a good selection of wine, didn’t taste cheap and it made us happy. Mind you we didn’t care about the unusual place. It’s now considered unique to me. Definitely would love to eat there again.
And for any baked clam lovers YOU HAVE TO TRY IT FROM THEM!
And on a footnote we went close to 10pm, they closed at 11… Service was excellent at that time so try then. Enjoy diners!

15 $ for 5 cold undercooked mozzarella sticks and soggy fries…

This place is cute little spot right in the neighborhood. They had the wild mushroom ravioli on special which is to die for. I was there with my boyfriend we had such a great meal with a nice and funny waiter who was pleasantly informative of their new line of Italian wine. I highly recommend for a nice dinner, glass of wine, or even a quick macchiato w their tri color cookies!

This has become my go to place for breakfast and lunch. Amazing, fresh croissants. Wonderful atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service and the best cappuccino in Queens.
Treat yourself like you’re in Rome. Enjoy a fresh cappuccino with their incredible almond biscotti (although my friend from the Bronx swears by their jelly cookies) while relaxing at one of their outside tables with your dog. Buon Appetito!

I can be really long winded with this review because of the like/​hate relationship I have with them but I can’t take anymore BS from them. They have good food. If you want to enjoy it. Eat there. DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT OR DELIVERY FROM THEM, especially if you want your order to be correct.
Call me a glutton for punishment but after the 5^th or 6^th time of getting screwed up orders, I’m calling it quits. I’ve spoken to the manager, I’ve complained, I’ve complimented, you name it, all just trying to get a correct order. I’ve even inspected the containers at the restaurant, only to get home and discover a detail that I missed that ruins someone’s meal.
I have a 3 year old and a failing mother in law. WE CANNOT GO OUT TO EAT. It is vital that we get the correct meal as there are good issues we have to deal with, gluten, lactose, digestive issues. Nothing changes there. There is no accountability. No more business will they get from me.

This place is breakfast, lunch, dinner and so much more. It has quickly become one of my favorite places to frequent in queens. The food is always nothing short if amazing. Many of their panini consist of combinations you will only find here. As a sit down, it gives you a great community feel. Not too closed off, not too out in the open. It’s small but peaceful. The TVs give it a nice touch without being overbearing or obnoxious. As a take out, the food us made fresh, so if you’re in a hurry i suggest you call ahead. Food takes about 10 to 15 minutes to prepare. The wait is worth it.
The people that work their are always fun, friendly and helpful.
The pastries are pretty good. Solely as a bakery I would give it only 4 stars. Maybe from lack of selection to other bakeries and maybe not as top bitch as a 5 star bakery. Yet still is very good and worth a visit if you like Italian pastries.
The décor is really nice. Nothing too fancy but still very classy and comfortable. The place is very clean too. I’m always very critical of the cleanliness of a food establishment and thus one is among my top 5 cleanest.
I usually offer some negatives just to not sound so bias but i honestly wouldn’t know where to find any. Maybe the parking, the wait for food and I don’t know what else. I hardly give such brilliant reviews but like I said earlier, this place has quickly become a favorite of mine, but not without meeting my own high standards.

It’s super nice to have a neighborhood spot like this, but it’s just… weird? That’s the only way to describe it.
Let me start with the positives. I love the salads, specifically the arugula salad and the mesclun greens with beets and goat cheese. Everything is very fresh. The gnocchi is also tasty, as are most of the pastas. The breakfast is pretty solid. The wine-​pour is generous in a way that does not make sense.
Now, the weirdness. The service is really slow. It’s almost like they cook the food somewhere else and then have it delivered there. The waitresses are typically sweet and friendly, but they seem overworked and unhappy. Everything feels strained and, again, just weird/​off. They give you hard breadsticks to dip into olive oil. That just doesn’t make sense. I go back with my friends and family when we can’t think of anywhere else. The experience is always strange.

So ive never had delivery, only pick up. The food here is very very good and price is great. The amount of food will surely last you for tomorrows meal too. The penne alla vodka is good, the sandwiches are all really good. I guess they need to learn how to get their delivery on point.
I always call in the order and take a walk to pick up.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!! Food took TWO HOURS for delivery. I waited an extra hour after the quoted time, called them three times to check on my order and they didnt apologzie or help at all. They just kept telling me the driver was on his way. They were rude and the food was cold and terrible.
HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND MY TIME!

This place is very close to my house and opens till pretty late for dessert. I would say that the pastries are really meh, but the gelato is definitely good. I had breakfast once here. The waffle was decent but ham on the side was practically crispy which wasn’t so good. Service is extremely slow and inattentive. They hire these kids and they suck.

Came here for brunch, we had impeccable service, based on that I would give this a five star review but the food was so terrible. I mean how do you screw up an omelette? Label on ketchup bottle looked as if it was 3 years old and whatever was in there was certainly not Heinz as indicated on the label. Waste of money. Do not bother with this place.

This review is based solely on the service. I can’t comment on the food because it hasn’t even arrived yet! Placed the order at 12:50pm which said it would be 30 – 45 minutes. Fast forward it has now been well over an hour. I called the place at 1:45 and they said the driver left 10 minutes ago (likely story). Well if he left «10 minutes» ago I am not sure why it is taking over 40 mins to get here.
What I am expecting of the food is:
Ice cold sandwiches
Soggy fries
This place is relatively close to my house yet it seems like an inconvenience for them to deliver. No delivery should take this long and for the prices they are charging my food should come fresh, not made an hour ago and left in the car to become soggy, which I am assuming is the case.

All the negative comments below are true. They are OVER PRICED! The food isn’t that great, if I had to cook I probably woulda made better dishes than them! The waitresses are all miserable and sad, every hour they come. The food takes another hour to come after you order and it’s very disappointing, the taste is horrible. I order shrimp, the shrimp was uncooked from the inside burned from the outside. Also the Caesar salad was so sourish!!! way too much vinegar is put on the salad. The coke we order was in this tiny glass, and the soda is probably a year old there is no taste of soda at all and to make the matter worst I was charged I think $ 2.50 for it. And our table was dirty it had bread crumbs all over. There is no order, the waitress sweeps the floor and clean the bathroom and then they come out to serve you! That’s disgusting!!! So you see people are pissed off getting up to pay for what they eat and they leave! The only good thing about the place is the big TV with no volume and inside its kinda nice.
I wish the owner can read this, because there are so many things you need to fix about this place! Food and service is irritating! I am NEVER coming back to this place ever again!!!

Buon never fails to deliver on amazing service & food! Had a very special and lovely Valentine’s Day dinner tonight and they had beautiful romantic music playing with a candle and red rose at every table. Their prefix menu was amazing – I chose the shrimp cocktail, Greek salad, shrimp scampi over linguini (most delicious I’ve had!), and to top it off, a slice of carrot cake and cappuccino. They didn’t miss a beat with anything and the waiter was very kind and helpful. I hope they never change.

As compared to the services of other breakfast/​brunch eateries in the area, Buon sadly didn’t live up to my fullest standards.
The problem was not the décor, which was very chic. My friends and I ordered their «waffle sundae» for $ 10.25, with it advertising a Belgian waffle with a banana and two scoops of their gelato. I was told that there was no more Nutella gelato, but that the hazelnut was a lot like it. Fifteen minutes later, my waitress came over and said that they were out of hazelnut too.
When we finally got our sundaes, we all just settled for chocolate gelato. And WE DID NOT GET OUR BANANAS.
I hear Buon is excellent for dinner, but I have other places in mind the next time I’m craving brunch.
