Threading Curves

I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place. I have been coming here for a very long time. Kay is wonderful, and so is her team. she truly cares about her clients. She always follows up with me and always does a fantastic job on my eyebrows and wax and I am eager to try the rest of her services. A friend of mine tried the henna for her eyebrows and they look amazing, my she was thrilled. 5 stars for Kay and her team at threading curves, I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!

Today was my first time here. I didn’t wanna make a special trip to get my brows done and this was on the way to the gym. When I walked in both girls were sitting. Neither of them were eager to help me. In fact they were pushing each other to do the threading. So I sat and the first thing she did was cut my brows. Ok that’s new. I told her I didn’t want my brows thinner and just to clean up. She had me holding my brows with both hands. That’s also new. She was super chatty with her coworker and really took long. Took her over 10 minutes. I’m used to being done in 5 minutes. Afterward she cut my brows again and asked if I wanted lotion. I said yes. She did a brow massage where she really applied pressure and did like 1 minute. Ok… sure. Great idea to rub the area that’s sensitive after removing hair from it smh. My brows came out ok though I seemed to have lost my arch a bit. When I was at the gym my brow area had a few red bumps probably irritation from the brow massage. That’s a first.
Also it’s $ 8 to get threading here. More expensive than the city where I usually go for mediocre job. U can get a better job for $ 5. Will not be returning.

I hate hate hate coming here. They’re my absolute last choice and the only reason I do is because they’re so close. It’s so claustrophobic and for some reason I ALWAYS get the owner because the entire time she is trying to upsale me and says I’ve waited too long to get my eyebrows done… uh, yeah, because the people I like and don’t hound me are too far away and I actually get busy so if my eyebrows are a little overdue, it’s not the end of the world. And she tsks over my plucking my eyebrows. They should advertise that you get a free lecture with every service. Thumbs down.

The absolute best place to get threading done!!! Kay is very precise and caring about your eyebrows. She takes her time and makes sure they are just right! Facials are great too! Highly recommended!

I have been going to kay’s shop for yrs. I utilize mostly all of her services. Her and her girls are friendly and make ya feel right at home. And you know they are doing their best to make you feel & look your best.

I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded by Kay and her girls for 10 years now, I don’t trust my eyebrows with anyone else. I moved to Florida a few years back but every time I come back up to NY Threading Curves is one of my first stops.

This place is great. Have been coming for years to have my eyebrows threaded. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because I would be reluctant to recommend for more extensive work such as permanent make-​up/​eyelash extension.

I get my eyebrows threaded here every now and then. Usually they are quick and accurate. This last time, I had not had it done in a while and it took extra long and the lady took a little too much off. For that she gets a pass, but if it happens again then I am not going back.
