I partially agree with the other poster about this particular Honey Dew. I love the staff, they always know my order and even if there is a long line of customers, it moves very quickly due to the employees knowing the orders of their regulars. While I don’t think the patrons who sit in the coffee shop are as bad as previously described, they are not a friendly bunch and on occasion, will loudly criticize other locals who stop by for a cup of coffee. The atmosphere feels exclusive for anyone who wants to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Its too bad. The coffee here is 10x better than DD’s.

I don’t actually think this or most any Honey Dew restaurant truly deserves one star, and I wouldn’t normally rate some chain restaurant, but in this case I think it’s important to do so. I used to come to this particular Honey Dew all the time, and I never will again. It’s not the food, it’s not the staff, it’s the customers. How can I rate a place on the customers you ask? I will tell you. I went in this restaurant nearly every day for quite some time, enough that the employees knew my order, and usually wanted to enjoy sitting down with my coffee/breakfast sandwich and people-watching, that sort of thing. Well this like many eateries across the nation is a haven for retired losers who never made it out of their towns(besides when they fought some enemy they knew nothing about in some foreign war because they had nothing else going on in their lives). Day after day I would sit and pretend not to hear 10 – 12 semi-retarded 70-something inbreds spew nonstop racial slurs and pretend like they knew anything about what goes on in the world. A few times they even targeted me when they thought I wasn’t listening! And yet, not once did the employees there tell them to knock it off. Why would they? As long as the tips roll in all day why should they care about common decency? Of course if someone lit up a cigarette they would immediately tell them they can’t smoke inside. But if the air is being polluted with racism and foul language? Well I guess it’s perfectly tolerable with a good tip! You may ask yourself why I didn’t speak up and tell employees, or even the retirees. I DID. Didn’t make one bit of difference, and I took my business elsewhere. I give this particular establishment one star out of protest for their shitty atmosphere and I would urge you not to go here.
