The Plains, VA
Unfortunately, Skandina has closed as of 2010, but Gunhild, the wonderful lady with the accent who was the store manager there, has relocated catty-​corner across the street and opened a new store, Svea Antiques & Accessories, at 17 S. Madison Street, with a bright new atmosphere and a great selection of Swedish antiques and personally selected home décor items. Give her a call at 540−687−5135.

Haymarket, VA
Another quaint, eclectic old world little antique shop in Middleburg.
As I was perusing the store — I overheard the little lady who was running the place chatting with some other customers — sounded to me like a charming German accent — loved listening to her talk!
Unfortunately — no corner tables in sight!
