John Madden is a very impressive guy! He was so knowledgeable and also so very considerate that I am sure anyone will enjoy working with him. We didn’t feel sold and he gave us a few options so we could make a decision. We could also tell that he was not desperate for our business and instead wanted to educate and help us. Aquatronics was very thorough in their approach and they offer a written guarantee so we felt very safe in choosing them. We had a water softener put in and my wife is very happy with it! I actually price shopped after and found that we paid a reasonable price too… especially given the warranty!

First star for Orlando, their employee who installed my water-softening system, the most helpful, friendly and thorough tradesperson I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in a long time. Second star for biz owner John Madden putting his cell phone number on the company voicemail message, so if you have an emergency you’re not just hoping and waiting for a callback. But I can’t in good conscience say«three stars-A-OK» because the reliability of the equipment has been a real problem for me. My neighborhood is supplied with very hard water, which likes to eat equipment. Of course this is why I had to get a water softener in the first place. The head unit on a softener has valves to control the weekly regeneration process, to pull in salt water and do all the magic it needs to do. Those valves have failed on me many times, sometimes under warranty, sometimes not. There doesn’t seem to be a repair, just get a new head unit. After about a decade of owning their system, in December 2014 I had to buy a new system, the whole shooting match, and I was really hoping I would get a couple of problem-free years out of it. Nope, summer 2015 already it simply stopped, failed to run its cycle as it was programmed, leaving us with not exactly softened water. And inevitably it takes us some weeks to notice that it’s not using salt as it should, soap doesn’t make suds as it should, etc. The people at Aquatronics have been great; their gear leaves something to be desired.
