The best cheesesteak around. Pizza is very good. Been going to Lucas for 15 years. Love it.

Been getting food here since I was a kid. Delicious pies, and they have some of the best cheesesteaks around.

The meat stromboli and cheese steak both use the same flavorless meat./It’s a tiny hole in the wall place inexplicably popular with the folks in Middlesex. Maybe the pizza is good? None too clean, the unscreened door was open when I was there. I won’t be.back.

Out of the 10 or more pizza places in Middlesex, this one is the best. the guys that work there are great and always remember what you order. Take out is usually quick but the parking lot on busy days is a mess. Chicken rolls are one of the best things there! Great prices and great selection on the menu!

Neighborhood gem! In a location where there are a lot of pizzerias, this is one of the few that are excellent! I have been in the neighborhood for 2 ½ years before recently going to Luca’s. I’ve been a loyal fan of Avellino’s(Dunellen) and Ray’s(Green Brook), but Luca’s will strain my loyalty. My current favorite: Buffalo Chick Pizza, they do a great job with it. It has the right bite and tang to it. Luca’s also has a sort of a rewards system for customers.

I’ve been to this place a few times, and I am not a fan. They do have a good amount of specialty slice options, but all of the ones I tried are pretty mediocre. There are much better options in this area. The pizza sometimes comes out of the oven a little cold since they don’t seem to pay attention to how long it has been in there. The guys behind the counter also use their bare hands to move the pizza slices straight to the oven which bothers me a little. Other servers at different pizzerias will sometimes touch the slices a little bit with their fingers, and I don’t have a problem with that… but the guys at this place will put the slice straight onto the palm of their hand when moving it to the oven. What a lovely image to have in mind while eating my mediocre pizza. I’ve never seen that done before, and I’ve been to my fair share of pizzerias. The slices here are below average in size, but the cost is below average as well. I haven’t tried anything here other than pizza. so if I ever come back to this place, it’ll definitely be to try something else.

My husband enjoys the pizza here, but I prefer either Pizza Center or Ferraros. It may be because the one time we ate in there was a dirty dishcloth sitting on the floor in a puddle of something and it was really bothering me for some reason(obviously unappealing but usually I can get over stuff like that). I’m reading the reviews and my experience just doesn’t match up… the older gentleman behind the counter is usually pretty quiet. I’ve been here about 4 times, twice for eat in and twice for takeout usually because my husband wants one of their cheesesteaks. Not a fan

Not the best pizza, not the worst either. Decent cheese steak, chicken one is better.

Whether you’re looking for a quick slice or an entire entrée, this place is your best bet. The food is always very good and is extremely hot(which is a sign that they just made it, so that’s a huge plus!) The owner is very friendly and will always make small talk with you and make you feel welcome. There was one incident where I got a veal parm sub to go and grabbed a drink out of the cooler and the owner told me that he wasn’t going to charge me for the drink. When I asked why, he said it was because he remembered that the last time I was there, he saw that I left my drink on the counter after I paid for it. I was blown away yet so pleased by his honesty. I didn’t even remember leaving my drink there the previous time but he insisted that he wasn’t going to charge me for it this time. It was by far one of the best experiences I’ve had at a food place.

Middlesex has to have at least ten pizza places when you include chains and Lucas has the best pizza by far — trust, I’ve tried them all. What makes it the best, you ask? Yummy crispy thin crust that is not bland or chewy. High quality cheese and a great recipe for sauce. My friends have told me that the cheesesteak and chicken rolls are tasty as well, but I never bother because the pizza is so great! I will say the parking is a bit obnoxious and detracts from wanting to go there, but I make do. Don’t go here if you are looking for a dine in experience — best experience you can have is order a pizza for take and out enjoy the quality!

Sicilian is the best, as I have yet to find any place that makes Sicilian like they do. Food is delicious, never had a problem with it. I’ve had subs, regular slices, meals, and they were hot, tasty and filled me up. Very friendly in there too, if you like soccer they’ll talk with you about it. It’s too bad they don’t deliver, but the food is good that you don’t mind going to pick it up.

One of the better places around for pizza and cheese steaks(which isn’t saying much unfortunately). Too bad for my waistline I am a connoisseur of both. My husband loves their grilled chicken salad but I do not because I don’t like what they put in them — peppers & olives I think, and no cheese!

Local(and I mean a block away) pizza done right. Prices are awesome and I haven’t had anything on the menu I didn’t like. The only negative… no delivery. Otherwise an outstanding showing by a local pizzeria. Their cold subs are fresh and cheesteaks are some of the best in the area. and that says a lot because there are about 7 or 8 other pizza spots in a few mile radius. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a slice or 2.

I am not a fan of the pizza and prefer Frank’s in Bound Brook but the cheesesteak is AMAZING! Their grilled chicken is also fabulous. They really know how to marinate their meats so you cannot go wrong with any of the sandwiches.

Luca’s is small pizzeria that makes really good pies and solid sandwiches. The pizzas have a generous amount of toppings and a good crust. Their cheesesteaks are one of the better ones in the area. Even though you normally aren’t going to pizzeria for french fries, I do like to get them when I get a sandwich. Unfortunately, their fries always tend to be a little soggy. That’s a minor complaint on a what is a really good pizzeria.

Best pizza in town. That in a town that has at least 7 pizza places.
