THIS has become OURGO-TO place for dependably GOOD food at a good price. 1. Open 6AM to 2PMSEVENDAYS A WEEK. 2. We avoid going on Saturday or Sunday because of the crowd of people who KNOW how good it is. 3. Lunch menu starts at 10:30 except on holidays when it’s «Only Breakfast All Day» — -(you can get breakfast all day every day.). 4. Small place does a GREAT business due to EXCELLENTWORKHABITS, friendly, efficient staff, and consistently good, plentiful food. 5. Anyone who complains about the COFFEE evidently did not inform the waitress. Regular or Decaf is made fresh constantly throughout the day and waitresses CONTINUALLY refill your cup until you say STOP. 6. My choices for my «best-buy» are: — — the Hungry Man Breakfast — which INCLUDES the price of endless-coffee-refills. — 2 pancakes, 2 toast, 2 eggs(your way), home fries, 2 bacon, 2 link sausage — I halve mine and take the rest HOME. My lunch choice is the fish and chips — fresh daily. 7. We came the FIRST time to try out this small place. The SECOND time to try MOREGOODFOOD. and NOW — — we come REGULARLY because of the GREATFRIENDLYSERVICE. 8. We have NEVER felt RUSHED. We DO try to be COURTEOUS and, when our meal is finished, we LEAVE to make room for OTHERHUNGRYPEOPLE. —(If you want to linger and talk or have a business meeting, please go somewhere else — — not THEIR words — — MINE) Note: — — if you arrive and find there is a line, PLEASELETSOMEONEINSIDEKNOWYOURNAME — — you can sit in your car to wait, if you wish, or the weather is bad. They are NOT mind readers. Like ANY good restaurant, you need to let them know WHO and HOWMANY in your party.

i took my very well behaved 7 year old son here, we had 2 people waiting in front of us, waiting for a seat, i was waiting for about 10 – 15 mins for the hostess to ask our name for a table(she saw us walk in). a woman walks in cuts us and the other 2 parties, goes right to the hostess and puts her name in, the hostess didn’t even apologize for skipping us, she looked at us and walked away. my son and i went to breakfast at another establishment. rude.

Have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Straightforward breakfast food, large portions, delicious pancakes, and very friendly and efficient wait staff that makes you feel welcome. This place has a simple décor and feels relaxed, just the way I like it.

Came here for breakfast before visiting da witches in Salem. I had no expectations, just wanted to eat decent food. They had many good offerings here, but the one thing that caught my eye was the«tutti fruitti» in the waffles or the pancakes. I took a chance on the pancake version thinking I’d be OK with fruit preserves atop the pancake stack. Then they came out and I was happy with what they brought out. Turns out the tutti fruitti was fresh fruit. I loved it and it was a large portion that satisfied. I loved it. The bacon and sausages were fine and so were their eggs dishes. As we were finishing up, a line formed outside. Well that’s a very good sign. Either that or there just wasn’t another breakfast place fo’ miles n miles around. I don’t think so. I loved this place and will keep it in mind should we ever come to this neck of da woods again. Good eats! Now let’s get our«witch» on!

Excellent!!! Reasonably priced Delicious yummy food and the portions were huge too! The best seasoned potatoes and omelet i have ever had! The walnut waffle was the best part. Highly recommended place! Coffee could be better though.

My brother and I came here a few times around Christmas as it’s near my studio and close to the Northshore mall. It was a delicious little greasy spoon and a definite addition to the usual places we go. I love their omelets and French toast as well as their sunny side eggs. My brother had the pancakes and waffles and said they were equally as delicious. The only reasoning for my 4 stars vs. 5 is that the place is small and so when you’re waiting in the winter(or if your table is too close to the door), it tends to be freezing. If you’re there in the wintertime grab a table closer to the kitchen.

Tried this place last week when we were in the area. The food was very good, service was also good but the coffee was awful. No problems getting a refill but it still tasted like a cup full of dirty socks. I would make a point to return if they had better coffee.

Every since West Side Restaurant closed in West Peabody, this is my go to breakfast place. Fast with refilling your coffee and getting your breakfast out(at least that’s been my experience during the week). If you like home fries with your scrambled eggs, you will not be disappointed… they pile them on. Wait staff are very upbeat. Only challenging thing is that the booths are close to tables and others can easily overhear your conversation if you’re talking business. I like this place.

Always great food, staff & price. But it’s getting mad busy now because everyone is finding out so don’t tell anyone keep it between us… ;)

I’ve been ordering breakfast here for pick-up on my way to work about once a week for the last 6 months since I discovered the place. The food is consistently great, price is very reasonable and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend trying them out!

Had a delicious Western omlette here – light and fluffy, perfectly browned on top, with just the right amount of ham, onion, pepper and cheese so the salt, sweet, and vegetable flavors balanced. The potatoes and good coffee just gilded the lily.

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. They make sure they flip the tables quickly but they don’t rush you. there were 4 groups of people in front of us on a bust Saturday and we were still seated in less than 10 minutes. Food is out quick and tastes great(but definitely not less filling!). they pay great attention to our beverages(had to tell them to stop filling our coffees!) You leave well fed and your wallet is not too much lighter than when you went in. All around a great place for a solid 4 star rating. I will definitely be back.

My family and I went to Freddy’s for breakfast. The food was well above average diner food. Sizable portions and terrific options. The service was so friendly and we were well taken care of. Would definitely be a regular if we lived in the area. Thank you Freddy’s! You made us feel welcome and filled our bellies with food love.

Very pleasantly surprised to find that their corned beef hash doesn’t come from a can. Great, inexpensive place for a simple diner breakfast. Staff was friendly and attentive.

FOODALLERGIES? BEWARE! Went there for breakfast. My toddler son has severe dairy allergies(requires an epipen). I explained this to the waitress. Went through the list of what he couldn’t have. Told her no milk or dairy could be in his food at all. Asked if the hashbrowns had butter. She said yes but they could make them separate for him without butter. Brought me a plate that she assured me was butter-free so we started to feed it to him. A few minutes later, another waitress comes out with a plate of butter-free hashbrowns and it turns out that the ones the waitress brought us were the normally prepared ones. Thank GOD that they had just happened to use margarine on their regular hash browns and not butter(not much better since many margarines have milk protein) which the waitress didn’t even realize, because if they had used butter which she said they normally do, those few bites he had before the mistake was discovered could have killed him. I don’t know how in this day and age a food service place cannot realize the seriousness of a food allergy. I don’t know how much MORE clear than the four times I spelled out that he couldn’t have anything with dairy in it I could have been. We also were told we would wait 5 minutes. From the time we put our name in, until our food arrived, was 1:10 minutes which, when you are waiting with toddlers, is not fun. It’s a shame b/c the food was tasty but their carelessness in regards to allergies are why we will never return.

Best chicken kabob salad on the North Shore. I have tried them all. Get it with the grilled veggies… Spectacular. Chicken is freshly cooked to order and seasoned to perfection. Breakfast is excellent as well with the pancakes being the star of the show. I ordered the pancakes 2 months ago and loved them however the syrup was watery and tasteless I told them about it and they changed it, today the syrup was tasty. They listen to their customers. Definitely worth the drive breakfast or lunch. Be careful however they close at 2pm. Love it here and the wait staff is exceptional. Happy eating

Bring your appetite because the portions are huge. I’m not a big fan of their omelets(think what happens to eggs when cooked over too high heat) but they somehow manage to produce perfect eggs over-easy off the same grill. After trying the hash once, I find myself ordering it every single time with my eggs.(And ordering just two eggs helps manage the portion size. Two eggs can only get so big.) I tried the Shepherd’s Pie special once with a side of green beans to get my veg and it was just OK. The green beans were super mushy and bland – definitely out of can. Haven’t tried any of the other dishes or sandwiches, though. This is a great casual place to meet people over breakfast without breaking the bank. As mentioned in another review, the service is exceptional. They go above and beyond the call of duty.
