Do not take your machine here for repair, they do not stand by their work, and their warranty period of 30 days is simply insufficient. I tried to support a local business but 3 months after I picked up my machine(which means a total of about 100 espresso shots) the same error has appeared and I can’t use it — again. The warranty period should not apply if the issue has not been resolved, we have lemon laws for cars — too bad we now need them for espresso machines. I do not expect unlimited support, but this should be fixed once and once only, in a 12 month period. So funny that the owner communicated they«fixed» my machine, they know the error immediately but claim it’s a «new issue». So to me, that is not fixed. I would stay far far far away, the business does not stand by their work. Terrible.

My husband bought a Saecco automatic coffee machine for me in May 2012. We found it temperamental but got used to it. When we found it could not work after two years, we found only ONE repair shop in all of New England — TC’s repair in Middleton, MA over one hour north(in traffic). They said we would need to pay $ 85 to have it looked at and that the $ 85 would come off the bill. The bill was $ 167.46 for a control board plus the $ 85 and $ 10.50 for materials to clean AND another $ 170 for shop time. Add it up, people. Well over $ 400. TC Repair’s comments to me included: «Why didn’t you contact Amazon if that is where you purchased your machine and ship it back to them to have it serviced. We have nothing to do with used machines or machines purchased elsewhere. Our labor cost is $ 85.00 per hour. Check around other service companies. All the same.» AND they threatened to post that we had purchased the machine as USED which was not true!!! Although what really irks me is the fact that the $ 85 look and see was tacked on to the bill, as well. Last time we will be suckered into this kind of machine(we have a Nespresso Lattisima Plus at our other home and we LOVEIT). AND, it’s the last time I will be suckered into TC’s repair. Beware TC’s repair.

TC’s has been a very negative and expensive experience for me. If you purchase a Saeco coffee machine and it breaks — expect to pay, in my opinion, at least $ 200 to even begin to have it fixed. And these things go for $ 500 or thereabouts so the mi mum cost in my opinion is 40% of the purchase price. And they seem to always break. Now, at this place It’s $ 80 to just look at the machine and chances are — they’ll hit you $ 80 and say — well it’s(some huge dollar amount to fix) thanks for the $ 80. I bought the refurbished machine from them after having the $ 80 review of my existing machine yield a price to fix of about $ 600. So I bought a re-furb’d machine from them. Anyway 3 months and two weeks later it stops working — two weeks out of warranty. I bring it in — oh you screwed this up — but seeing as you just bought it pay us for 1 hour labor($ 80) and we’ll fix it for that and the $ 120 part = $ 207 with tax.(I looked up the part on line and it goes for $ 56 at some places by the way) They said water was in the grinder but in my research I found dark coffee’s could create the same effect and muck up the grinder. So, I say let’s do it but I have the part. I run down with the part. In about 5 seconds they whip out the part from the old machine(the machine that cost $ 600 to fix but I kept it for parts) and they said call us tomorrow it’ll be fixed. So I call up and they say«That’s $ 180 thank you very much». I said what? I just bought the machine from you at $ 295 and now $ 180??? That’s almost $ 500! I also said you guys told me 1 hour labor. «We never said that!» I said you sure did. «We most certainly never ever ever said 1 hour you owe us 2 pay us!» So the sales manager and the owner both start yelling at me how it was two solid hours and this that and we never said 1 hour! But, I still have the message they left on my cell phone saying 1 hour and I play it for them. Well, that’s cause you didn’t buy the part! I said now the story changes cause you couldn’t get me for the part you decide to double the cost to put it in? They continue to get all hard with me. I said listen, I cut a deal and I stick to it! Fair is fair. They said FINE(after about 15 very uncomfortable minutes) it’s $ 90.50 and never come here again. And you’ll never find anyone else to fix that machine — no one knows how around here — so good luck. Well you can count on the fact I will never ever give them another $ 1 or even another dime. During our argument we went over how much I spent with them — it’s was about $ 950 over the years and they acted like it was nothing — they were doing me a favor even taken my lousy thousand. I mean when was the last time you paid hundreds of dollars to fix your Mr. Coffee? So what can I say about this experience? You tell me. I try to be fair — you draw your own conclusions. To me, this was one of the worst and most uncomfortable business transactions of my life.

I can’t thank TC’s Repair Service, and their rep Cindy, enough. I sent in my old Saeco coffee machine, and it’s now working like new. UPS damaged the machine in transit, but TC’s took it back without a single complaint, repaired it, and then even shipped it to my new address in California(I was moving). These guys rock, and if you want a new coffee machine, or a repair, I highly recommend them.
