Academic Automotive

Usually people only post reviews when they have something negative to say. I want to make sure others know the great things about Academic Automotive. Prior to moving to Ohio we had a repair shop we used in Florissant, MO that I loved. I never thought I would find the same type of owner of an automotive repair facility. After moving here seven years ago I went to several repair shops in the West Chester/​Liberty Township area, and always felt like I was getting screwed. About five years ago someone mentioned Academic Automotive, so I gave them a shot. Now I don’t go anywhere else until Dave tells me one of three things: 1. «Here’s the problem and the cost.» 2. «Here’s the problem, and I’m not as cost competitive as XYZ Repair. (which is rare)» 3. «Here’s the problem, and the dealer has special tools/​diagnostics that I don’t have, so you’re better off going there.» I love the honesty. Dave approaches each repair like the car is his, and the money is coming out of his pocket.

This is the best repair shop around. I have gone here many times. Mostly for oil changes, but also some more intense repairs. I know I am always getting the best value for my money and trust them with my car. I highly recommend Academic Automotive.
