I’m climbing on my soapbox, so bear with me… if your dog is protective enough of you, that when another dog walks too closely to you, your dog snaps at the passing dog, your dog should not be at a dog park. Dog parks are not there for you to attempt to socialize your dog that isn’t good at socializing. Today, Guinness and I stopped by the dog park on Levels Road in Middletown, we weren’t in the dog park 5 minutes when someone’s dog snapped at Guinness for getting too close to the owner. The owner then decided she and her dog should leave. I was then checking out Guinness wiping away her dogs slobber when I saw blood. We immediately left and went to the vet, Guinness ended up with some stitches, but is ok. I don’t know the dog or the owner of the dog that snapped at Guinness.(I think the dogs name was Triton or Titan, he was a brown Mastiff maybe Pit mix to my best guess) I don’t know if she realized her dog actually harmed my dog Guinness enough that he needed stitches. Guinness is bigger than her dog and if her dog did this to Guinness I would hate to see what he could do to a smaller dog. I’m just putting this out there so people know and maybe this will find its way back to her.

This is a great park for dogs & families. There are two fenced in gates one is for the big dogs & the other is for small dogs. Across the street is a park & areas where you can have a bbq or party. There is a body of water where you can fish but not take anything home & there is a nice walking trail I burned 150 calories!

This is a great park. There are two fenced areas for dogs, separated by smaller and larger dogs. Inside the fenced in areas are trees, fire hydrants, water fountains and poop bags. There are a few pavilions with tables and benches that I have seen people use for birthday parties. There are also two playgrounds for kids. One is meant for smaller children and the larger one had a very tall twisty slide that my children can’t get enough of. There’s even a small rock wall at the bigger playground, too. One other feature are the two small ponds. The larger pond has a pier and I have seen people fish from it. It always seems to be windy so my husband and I enjoy flying our kites here.

Lots of wide open space for running, but not a whole lot of interesting features. A few spares trees are scattered about. It’s nice that most of the grass is still intact, contrary to most other dog parks. Even though it had rained the days prior to my visit, no one got too muddy thanks to the thick grass.
