Misleading and Poor Customer Service by Lowe’s employee I had my roof replaced by Lowe’s, they did a nice job. So i referred them to my next door neighbor. I gave her his name, «Sean» and phone number. I called Sean 3 times and he never returned my call to as much as thank me for the referral of a $ 9500 job that I secured for him. So I called Lowe’s and complained to customers service about his disrespectful behavior, only then did he call me and leave me a message to say he was sorry he didn’t get back to me and can he have my address. So I called his Cell phone again and he didn’t answer so I left him my address. This idiot had the nerve to send me a $ 25 gift card which was an insult and never had the Courtesy to give me a call for the job that he must have made $ 2000 on as a commission. Then I find out that he was to secure the building permit that cost me $ 150 and i had to take a day off work. I was told by Sean a representative for Lowe’s that sold me the job that it was my responsibility to obtain the building permit. I discovered this when my neighbor brought it to my attention and called up the main costumer service office and got her money back for the permit, $ 150 as did I. If you had work done by Lowe’s and or was told by Sean that you was responsible to get the permit then call Lowe’s at 800−463−3339 and get your money back for the cost of the permit and file a complaint. On the back of your contract it clearly said that Lowe’s is responsible for obtaining all building permits!!! John

It’s Lowes. If you know what you need they probably have it but most of their staff aren’t any more informed than the average guy off the street. When I ask for advice it usually ends up with the person reading the label. Really? I mean I can read the labels… I get it that not everyone is an expert on everything, but please, just tell me you don’t know and let me go from there.
