Glad we had a coupon when we went — because I would have been pretty peeved to have paid full price for the stuff. While the fried rice was good… the ox tail was just very bland. It simply tasted like an unseasoned pot roast. The jerk chicken was extremely ‘extremely’ DRY and was supposed to be extra spicy on the heat level (requested a ⁷⁄₁₀) and it was bland too, not really any heat to it at all and it’s supposed to already be spicy in the first place? Riiiiight. I will say the ribs were good — they were not noted as being spicy but they had a really nice level of heat to them. However, I would not pay full price for the portion of the ribs. The plantains were good, but they are just a very small portion of a meal. It was very odd that salad came out at the end of the meal instead of the beginning. We had to order something to go in order to fulfill the coupon which was $ 25 off a $ 50 purchase — and even though we ordered the to-​go food before we even got our meal we had dining in — it took them a little over an hour to have it ready. Normally we would walk out on a meal this disappointing, but since the owners seemed to be very proud of their food we felt it would be more of a hassle to say anything to them than it was just to deal with cutting our losses. We should have known better since walking in we were the ONLY people in the entire place. Overall, very disappointing and will not be returning. There are far better places to grab a meal.

Tender oxtail, crispy ripe plantain, tangy well prepared wings. Marce is cooking up far better food than you’ll find a few blocks away around Central and Broad.

Situated in an out-​of-​the-​way neighborhood, looks a bit hole-​in-​the-​wall. When we walked in on Saturday night, we were the only customers in the place. Greeted by the house staff, seated quickly. The owners suggested a «mini buffet» for the two of us, to which we agreed.
This was astonishingly good food. We got:
* a seafood salad with shrimp that was excellent
* potato salad that was good enough
* jerk wings with greens that had just enough spice to let you know it was there but didn’t overpower
* oxtails that were a little on the small side but extremely well prepared and flavorful
* a rice-​and-​kidney bean dish that was reasonable but not exciting
* a rice with coconut dish that was amazingly good.
Quantities were enough for dinner without feeling stuffed. The price for this was under $ 20, which we both considered extremely good value for the money.
We’ll be going back.

I lucked out and showed up when they had curried goat, anyone who knows me knows I loves me some goat. I’ll eat it anyway I can get it, and so far that’s making it seven cuisines I’ve had it from. This was equally amazing. The oxtail my hub got was equally awesome. Super sweet owner and staff, will be back!

Had Sunday buffet here and was not disappointed.
Normally I’m not a big fan of buffets but everything here was fresh, delicious, healthy and homemade. Great fried rice, jerk chicken, ham, vegetables … something for everybody.
The owner and family were very friendly.

Found this place thru Groupon. It is spectacular. The owner is Panamanian so everything is authentic and made super-​fresh. One of my wife and I’s new all-​time faves.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. We tried it with a Groupon and I had high hopes, I love good Caribbean food. But things were just a little off. The decorative style is offsetting, not getting seated or welcomed was unsettling, and the feel of things were a little too casual for a business. The food was alright, plantains and wings were good, but jerk chicken was poor. The staff are indeed friendly but I didn’t really know what was going on, if we had ordered, what to order, or what to expect. I will overlook a lot of things if the food was great, but it was only «ok». There is potential for a good restaurant here but not without changes.
