Great place! Plain and simple! The gyro dish and French fries is my go to! I have brought co workers and friends with me and they continue to go! Their homemade hot sauce is awesome! Pretty hot so be careful. I will continue to be a customer.

I try to stop in here once a week if I can swing it. The food is prepared very fast and it’s is always AMAZING! The owners are wonderful to talk to, overly friendly, and are the type of people who would give you the shirt off their back if you needed it. If I could afford to I would eat here everyday!

It is the best falafel in town, I don’t have to drive to Manhattan to have it from now on

I have been here at least 30x now. It’s DELICIOUS!!! I chat with Paula and her mother everytime I go in. She knows exactly what I want and it only takes a short time before its done. They are so friendly that we have created a great customer relationship. And I can’t ever leave without having 2 cookies. I LOVEYOUGUYS!!!

This 2 star rating is not for the quality of the food but rather the service and the unwillingness of the management to make it right. When was the last time you ordered take-out for delivery and were charged a 15% gratuity? This is what they do. No mention of it in their take-out menu, which they acknowledged. From work, we placed our first order with this establishment for lunch. The order totaled $ 85(including tax) to be delivered a distance of 1.4 miles. When it arrived, the bill was $ 101. We order take-out every day and never have we ever been charged a mandatory gratuity. When we called the management to discuss this, we were told that their reason is because they can’t keep delivery drivers because people don’t tip them. If this is true then they should consider adding a «delivery charge» and list it as such on their menu. A gratuity should never be added without your prior knowledge or consent. She told us that if we would have asked for the total on the phone when we placed the order, we would have been told the gratuity was included. We explained that we always tip our drivers and that we were prepared to do so until the driver told us that it was included in the bill. We asked that $ 10 of the $ 16 gratuity be added back to the credit card we paid with and give the $ 6 to the driver. We thought that was reasonable. Giving a delivery driver 15% of a large check seems excessive. The manager declined to do it. When asked if she was willing to lose a potentially good customer she made it clear she was. She didn’t care that we gave her an $ 85 order. She said she gets $ 150 orders and they pay the gratuity($ 22.50 for delivery?). She then told us she was busy and had to go. Everyone who ordered from our department said they would have given the food a 5 star rating but they would not order take-out from there again. +

I’ve been coming to the Mediterranean Grill for some time now. The food and service has always been excellent, but today’s experience drove me to write this review. As I sat awaiting my traditional Cretan gyro(my staple as it is unbelievably delicious and satisfying), the other customer was having trouble charging his phone, alleging that all the wall outlets were defunct. After verbal reassurance that the electric was fine by the always extremely pleasant waitress, the cook came out and tested the outlets. After they tested fine the customer was still skeptical. The waitress explained that after market chargers typically were slower than apple chargers. She then lent the customer her phone charger, while maintaining the utmost professional attitude and pleasant demeanor. The staff and food exceed expectations to a degree that would make a first time diner a lifelong customer. If you’ve never been, you’re denying yourself a real treat!

Tucked away, this small unassuming place is a great stop for lunch. I can honestly say some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. In town for work, found this place on Unilocal.I would defiantly come eat here again if in town.

This place is on point. Everything was perfect. Definitely recommended. Got the gyro special, one meat the other falafel both done perfectly. The salad was delish.

Such an amazing restaurant, hands down the best gyros i have ever had. My job has me constantly traveling across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and no matter what if i am in the middletown area, i make it my habit to stop in and enjoy some of the best greek food to have ever graced my pallet.

This place is amazing. It’s in this tiny little plaza and the food is absolutely amazing. I usually get a Mediterranean bowl. There is so much food in the bowl that it is definitely more than I can eat in one setting. The baklava is also very very good and comes in extremely large pieces.

This place is a gem. In the middle of Middletown, no less. The food is on point, very fresh, and plenty of it. Order anything on the menu, so far — I’ve never gone wrong. I’m getting hungry as I type this…

Almost walked out as soon as I walked in based on the appearance, but pleasantly surprised with the food. I had the Minos chicken gyro. A bit greasy but very good otherwise. Would come back and try the falafel.

Great place for a falafel! I ordered one thinking it will come with pita bread but got a wrap. Not sure if you have to be specific for the pita. Everything tastes fresh had it with a side of fries. Baklava was very tasty! Clean decent place will go back.

Average Greek food. The chicken souvlaki is mostly lettuce. Long waits for a not busy restaurant. I did watch a really annoying guy order like 10 things that had to be gluten free for over 40 minutes going back and forth from his car to talk to his wife. The owner never gave him a hard time even though this guy was a turd. So props on the customer service.

We decided today was the day we were going to stop in and give it a try. Clean, and enough room between the tables to feel relaxed. Lovely desert case and deserts. My gyro was a generous size, with great flavor. Good value for the money. My husband had a falafel wrap and fries. Everything made to order, hot and fresh. Will definitely go back.

This little known deli has some amazing food! Usually I lean towards traditional Greek dishes, however, their menu contains such variety. Now when I go I make a different selection every time and have never been disappointed. The Athena bowl is quickly becoming a favorite because of the sauce that makes my lips slap together and say, «yes please, I’d like more!» The crowning glory is the dessert their mom makes — Baklava cheesecake and it’s out of this world! Yes, you’re reading that correctly — Baklava Cheesecake! But get there early because it sells out fast!

Stopped for lunch on a road trip. Friendly, but not too friendly. Food came out so fast, but tasted so fresh and well seasoned. Just a great value for a nice lunch. Seating — there are a few tables plus a counter with a few seats. It’s pleasant enough but not a place to «dine.» Giving it 5 stars for value & quality.

For anyone who enjoys great Greek specialties and even better service – you need to come here. I used to get lunch here on a weekly basis but I’ve since relocated to NYC, and I still haven’t found a place I like as much as this. Everything I’ve eaten here – from the seasoning they put atop the greek salads to the baklava cheesecake(a must-have) – is the best I’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this establishment enough.

This is an authentic gyro gem in a desert of pre-fab Olive Gardenesque mall food places it could rival Greek food in Astoria if they had a gyro spot. It’s located in a very brown strip mall with ample parking. The neon signage is inviting and blaring at the same time. I imagine it has a ton of regulars because as soon as we walked in the owner’s daughter asked us what we wanted immediately. She offered some recommendations. She was so effervescent and passionate about the food that I actually ordered the gyro meat instead of my standard chicken or falafel. I never order gyro meat because it is often salty mystery meat and gross. This was crispy and soft and well astonishing well seasoned. I inhaled my sandwich and barely shared. It was dripping everywhere. They have pics of the food and the prices in case the epic offerings are overwhelming. The prices are 1980’s prices. Oh, and while we didn’t order any they have a monolithic baklava cheesecake(that you can order whole for thanksgiving) and frappes. Well done Med Grill and Diner!
