Great service.

I’m in town for school at Newport Naval Station. I saw Muncys while driving around and decided to stop in for a cut.
I was very impressed with the entire experience. Maria gave me the best cut I’ve had in quite some time! I didn’t have cash on me but she took care of me anyway and let me go get cash elsewhere and return to pay.
I would recommend this barber shop to anyone in the military that’s in town and wants a clean cut and great conversation. I’ll definitely stop by again before leaving town.

POINT BLANK!!! They can cut and offer good service.
They can do fades, razor edges, and designs. The wait has never been too long either.

Received a cut from the owner, great job and very friendly. Definitely going back, just a heads up though, they only accept cash. They finish with the blade which is unique and clean.

I’m from out of town in the military, but I usually seek out a place that would give me a haircut that doesn’t look so military. I stumbled upon Muncys via Unilocal and I was not disappointed!
Three of us needed haircuts and I let the other two guys go first. I got the chance to get my haircut from Dustin, who ironically lived in San Diego County for years before getting a job at Muncys. Seemed very promising! Great conversation and a great cut! Asked for a number 2 on the side with a good fade and to keep my faux hawk intact, but to cut it down a little. Hit totally did it right!
Great place right close to Naval Station Newport, so I would personally come back again! I would say my other buddy wasn’t as lucky as I was and ended up looking like a Marine when it was all said and done. Just like any place, make sure you are specific on what you do not want as well! If I remember right, this place was cash only as well!
Muncy also highly recommended Rhea’s next door. We will see how that goes!

My 11 year old son just got a fantastic haircut this afternoon! All the barbers do a fantastic job here /​not a lot of wait time either. Added bonus, the haircut was free! Muncy gave my son a free haircut for getting all «A“‘s on his report card. Apparently, this is standard policy at Muncy’s for good grades in school. Thanks Muncy! This was an unexpected and kind bonus to a fantastic haircut!

I normally write reviews on restaurants. However this is one that definitely needs recognition. I stumbled on this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try since it was open post July 4^th. There is lots of parking and the barber shop is nice and clean. I was fortunate enough to get a haircut from the owner, Jeremy. He’s a master barber and have been in the business for 20+ years. There have been a handful of times in my life where I felt that had an excellent haircut. Jeremy met all of my requests to the tee. If you are in the Newport/​Middletown area, come here. You will not be disappointed. I also have to mention that there were a lot of regulars that came through the door.

Awesome local shop! Very friendly with children and gave my husband an great haircut for the price. Will be his first choice when needing a hair cut anytime.
