This was my second time here. The food was slightly better than when I was there the first time. For an appetizer I got the fried dumplings. They were ok… a couple were burnt and dry which was disappointing. For my main course I had steak and brisket phở. The broth wasn’t very flavorful. Other phở places offered sprouts or veggies to include, or at least had sauces to add… but nothing was offered here. It was mediocre. Our waitress was pleasant though. The owner or manager, however, was extremely rude to us which was offensive. My friend had mentioned she had a nut allergy and the woman just seemed annoyed and fluffed it off… well how are we supposed to know if any nuts were in the sauces or dishes? I’d be back only because it’s the only decent phở place in DE, otherwise I’d go somewhere else.

Came back with my friend to try the place again! This time got fried dumplings and vermicelli bowl with grilled pork and egg roll. This time the food was pretty decent ! Our waitress was also good too. I didn’t care for the owner… she had a unfriendly attitude towards us from the beginning when I said I had a peanut allergy she goes«well the meal you ordered doesn’t have any»…yes I know but I’m just informing you… so snappy which I don’t appreciate. Food allergies should be taken more seriously. I’ll just come back for take out if I have a real hankering for Vietnamese food…

Easily best phở house in Delaware. I have tried almost all the different phở on the menu and they are all great especially the chicken and brisket phở. The broth is a very clean and refined soup that is very different from other phở shops that use a lot more aromatics in their broth. Some places use too much cilantro and basil in their broth that overpowers the taste. Instead phở nhu vu broth is clean and refined as it should be and you can then control how much herbs you want to put in it afterwards. Also try their fried rice. It is closer to Korean fried rice than Chinese fried rice and is incredible.

Awesome food. Friendly staff. We don’t venture out for Vietnamese food often but tonight we did. The famous soup, Phở, is amazing with so many varieties. Try the Phở. The staff was really helpful with a menu we were unfamiliar with. They are great with kids too. Thank you for a great dinner

One of the best phở places in Delaware. Broth is on point. Service is great too. Totally worth the drive. Love it!!!

One of our absolute favorite places in town. The Hot and Sour Seafood soup with shrimp only and the Tofu fried rice both ordered extra spicy as I love spicy are my favorite dishes. The Thai soup is also fantastic. My wife and daughter love the R12 grilled lemon grass pork chop with fried rice. Can’t recommend enough.

This place is a true gem in what seems to be a barren wasteland of no authentic Asian food. I am a transplant from NY who frequented amazing Asian food down in Manhattan on every corner. There has not been one item that I have ordered off the menu both at take out and in the restaurant that have rivaled any NYC Vietnamese restaurants. Try it and let them help you if your not familiar with the cuisine. It’s a true experience.

I have to created an Unilocal account for writing a review for this restaurant! First time for us to try this place last night, we have heard so much good stuff about this place before. They have a big menu and we didn’t know where to start with, but our waitress was very very nice and she answered all of our questions, and then the food was excellent!! Big compliment for our waitress(I don’t remember her name now) because she was the one that picked out some amazing dishes for us! Great job! We will def come back again soon!

Place has drastically gone downhill… Very sad to see a once very consistent, good, reliable fresh restaurant crash and burn! Went in and as the only customer– you’d think I would be given the total royal treatment– au contraire!!! Coffee was cold(ordered hot!!) sent wrong appetizer out, other app– was ok not great but ok– the entrée was smaller than it typically had been before and the veggies were wilted, tasted sour and were slimy … I returned the entrée and went to pay out but noticed I was charged for the entrée!!! I actually argued with the owner who told me it was NOT her restaurants fault BUT it was my tastebuds!!! No kidding … I flipped out on her and left paying only for the food that was consumed!!! Sad when a restaurant owner picks a fight with a customer over an $ 8 noodle bowl!!! We probably had spent over $ 1000 in that place over a few years never ever again! This is a real review from a real customer — this is not spam — sadly…

This is our first time here. The Pad-Thai was great and you can’t beat the lunch specials. We’ll certainly come back!

Not much to say here that hasn’t already been said. Food is pretty good for the area, but nothing I have had sticks out in my mind as an OMG I must have that again. You won’t go wrong eating here but it won’t blow your socks off either.

I love phở. Good and cheap. This place is missing on the flavorful broth that phở is all about. Maybe it was an off day. I ordered the steak phở and there wasnt much steak and the broth wasnt rich and flavorful. The shrimp rolls were good. I will not be back.

Last night my family had our first experience with Vietnamese food. The food it self was wonderful. The dish I personally order was flavorful, and with bright crispy vegetables. My family was not disappointed one bit by the food at Nhu Vu. It was the serves we received that is causing me to give it such a low rating. Our waiter English was broken and he was hard to understand. He never took our drink order, just brought us glasses of water. We order an appetizer that we never received, and our main dish was brought out at separately, as much as 5 minutes apart. I could over look a few serves flaws if the restaurant had been slammed with customers, but their may have been 5 parties in the restaurant while we were there at 5:30 p. m on Saturday night. I can’t say I wouldn’t go back to Nhu Vu, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

This is by far our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Staff: They are so nice and welcoming. We stopped in during the winter once and it was so cold out that the woman, who I believe runs the place, brought us some hot tea to warm us up. We thought that was such a nice thing to do and shows just how friendly they are. Food: We usually order the chicken pad Thai, Pork vermicelli salad bowl(can’t remember the exact name), won ton soup and chicken fried rice. All are absolutely delicious. The won ton, completely clear, as it should be. The salad bowl devine. The pad Thai and fried rice, are done well. Not greasy nor mushy compared to other places we’ve been to. Design: The place is clean and neat. Nothing fancy, more of a simple family restaurant. Very comfortable. All in all, we love it and look forward to coming back.

I don’t remember really eating at a pure-Vietnamese place before and we were on the way home from OCMD and hit this up based purely on Unilocal reviews and what was available in the exit we stopped for gas. This was a Sunday late lunch. I got a large steak, flank, and fatty flank noodle soup and it was so good and a big portion. The broth was excellent, the noodles were soft, and the meat was soft and tasted good. We also got a shrimp and squid pad thai and that was good as well. I would have tried apps but I didn’t want to order too much. The food prices are lunch-comparable and the other reviews seem to be on-point. The décor is plain and the dining area is pretty big and open with lots of tables. I really enjoyed the food here and will come back if I remember it when we pass this exit again.

After a tough week nothing beats a bowl of Phở. Number 43 is my personal favorite, with tripe. And the Blue Moon helped.

Driving from DC to Jersey, we stopped by a shopping center and noticed this Vietnamese place. My boyfriend and I were actually looking into having Bahn Mi — for those of you that don’t know, it’s a Vietnamese hoagie with peppers, pork/beef or chicken to your choice of liking with several other deliciousness in it. Unfortunately lol they didn’t have it. So. We settled for the vermicelli which was pretty good! Vermicelli — has several veggies, pork, fried spring rolls and peanut butter sauce.(Good enough to share for two and always worth it!) Appetizers were steamed dumplings and summer rolls. LoooOOvedddddd the dumplings, they were delicious with the sweet soy sauce /fish sauce. As for the summer rolls, they were okay. But other than that the bill came up to $ 30, it was well worth it!!! Oh and you can’t go wrong with Starbucks being right across the street ;-)

I liked this place. The staff was friendly and nice, and the area was nice. I ordered the large Brisket Phở and was very satisfied. The portion was ample and left me full. Although I was pleased, I would have liked to have more brisket in the phở. I have yet to find a place with a good amount of meat in the phở. 4stars

The décor is really nice inside. The wait staff was friendly as well. The sauce for the spring rolls seemed watered down usually is thicker. I ordered steak phở but i felt like I was jipped only got 4 or 5 pieces. The places ive gone definitely supplied more meat. I ordered a strawberry smoothie it was very thick to the point i had to wait for it to melt to enjoy it. Also it tasted more like a virgin daiquiri.
