Papa Gino’s Pizzeria

The pizza was great! I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and a 20 oz Sierra Mist. When the delivery person got here, my soda was missing. The delivery person went out in the rain and came back with my soda. I’m truly impressed with that. That is great customer service. Mistakes happen, and the fact that he came back with my soda shows that customer service is a high priority. I will order from them again next time Im in Rhode Island. Plus, it is the best chain restaurant pizza I have ever had.

Since my family has moved to Coddington Cove in Middletown, Papa Gino’s has become our go-​to pizza place for pickup and delivery. Their rewards program makes it easy to earn money back towards future orders, and they carry Mountain Dew — my favorite drink!

Papa Gino’s has been around forever, I believe that was where I had my first piece of pizza ever, when I was about 6 years old and it really hasn’t changed over the years. The restaurant itself has, for the better, but the food is still just as excellent as always.
I’ve only eaten in this location twice and both times our pizza and wings were excellent, nothing was overdone, the only issue was the second time my friend and I were there, they accidently made us the wrong pizza, but they already had the correct one in the oven when they brought us the mistake (which was so good, I would have been completely happy just having that!) but about 10 minutes later they brought us the correct pizza which was just as awesome. We ate leftovers for 2 days!
so needless to say, customer service is AWESOME. All the employees I’ve encountered are super friendly and efficient. I’ve ordered takeout the last two times and both times I got there about 5 minutes before the pizza was supposed to be ready and both times it was already done and all set go to.
Prices are about the same as other pizza places in the area, look for coupons to save a little money, I tend to forget mine, but they do help!
So if you want the perfect, cheesy pizza with just the right amount of toppings and never overcooked, go to Papa Gino’s!

I used to be a loyal customer to this restaurant but after tonight I’m not ever coming back; I’m so disappointed after tonight’s service. The entire team that was working (4 people total) was running around like crazy and hardly acknowledged us even though we stood there for about 15 minutes. As I looked around, I saw that there was a couple at the table while their kids played arcade games and a guy who was waiting for his to-​go order. Finally, we heard the manager apologize about 10 times in a row and he didn’t even look at any of us when he said it. When he was finally able to take us, he didn’t even know the prices that were on his own menu… Even though all we ordered was the paparoni pizza and the boss barbecue chicken pizza. Finally after 40 minutes of waiting, we asked the manager what happened to our food and why it was taking so long. The manager looks at us and drops his head to say, «I sincerely apologize for this but we never placed your order». This was the moment that I took advantage of telling him everything that went wrong with our experience:
— the employees don’t wear any gloves nor use sanitizer while the switch from task to task
— if the printer doesn’t work, maybe he should have written the items down on a piece of paper and passed the order to his employees
— instead of running around with a look of panic on his face, he should have probably acknowledged the fact that it would take a little longer than usual to receive our food.
— instead of offering us «anything we want, even a body part», maybe you should just offer us our money back so we can go somewhere else. Let’s keep it professional.

this was good pizza! We were going to a movie and stopped in here for dinner. We had 3 kids with us and we all really liked the pizza. It was flavorful, thin crust, large slices. We will definitely return to eat here again!

Yummy. Thin crust. Not too much sauce. Good stuff!
