The food was lightweight gross, but the environment was nice. I ate the tacos and they were very greasy. My friend got a different type of taco and his were very greasy as well. On a better note the service awesome. The food came quick and our drinks were refilled on the spot.

I feel like owners could use a few nights dining out at some restaurants in OTR or the Oregon district, the property value is much higher in those places, but they still manage to put out higher quality food for the prices you see here. I am guessing it is because lack of traffic.

We actually went here by accident ane glad we did … the owners were super nice and very welcoming … the food was good and they gave us free dessert because it was the last piece of pie so not perfectly shaped .but was yum. The sign outside isn’t … great … with the name. you would think the sign would be a large SQUARE … duhhh. but what they lack signs they make up in welcoming spirit.

Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, and all for a modest price. The green bean appetizer is delicious, love the chips and sandwiches, and if you save room for dessert, the cookie sundae is awesome!

Unbelievably inexpensive and great food. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. I will eat here everytime I am anywhere near Middletown. Highly recommend the cookie sundae for dessert!

Really enjoyed a light meal at The Square after visiting the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Middletown! The arugula and watermelon salad was delish, as was the bread pudding with a brandy sauce. Looking forward to eating there again!

It’s great to have a good restaurant in downtown Middletown again! We went last Saturday night, relatively late, and we very much enjoyed the buffalo chicken dip and homemade salsa. My husband had the lamb, which was great, and the risotto served with it made a lovely Midnight snack. I had an amazing arugula and watermelon salad… dressed perfectly with great flavor combinations. Good food at reasonable prices!

@2 is a wonderful new restaurant in Middletown. The first time I went was after First Friday at the Pendleton Art Center across the street. The restaurant was packed, and for a good reason. We ordered some drinks(my boyfriend liked the one called«A Moveable Feast») and headed up to the rooftop seating area to wait for a table. We both liked the stylish interior and atmosphere, and the rooftop area was very nice. We looked out over the square and watched some people jump out of airplanes. After a while, we returned inside and sat in the bar area. Because it was such a busy night, it did take a while to get our order, but it was worth the wait. He got a sandwich and I got a wrap, and they were both fantastic. The chips are delicious, too. We went back last night with a friend of ours, and he raved about it as well. The owner, Chi-chi, came over to chat with us, and she was excited and friendly. She later introduced us to the chef, though her name escapes me. It is clear that the chef loves what she does, and does it exceedingly well. We tried the bread pudding at their recommendation, and that was very good. With the atmosphere, the staff, and the menu as good as they are at @2, we’ll be back again, I’m sure.
