This place is perfect! You want a quick, casual, fresh made and really tasty lunch,(dessert optional) look no further. Get in here-you’ll find it clean and cheerful, little café tables and an easy service line where you can gaze at the buckets of tantalizing ice cream flavors while you wait to order. And you won’t wait long, the staff have got it together and the logistics are brilliant. Everything is prepared right before your eyes, then you move down the line to pay and get your tray. Juicy burgers and giant NATHAN’s hot dogs are sizzling away, and the incredible variety of toppings and options is almost too much to take! And they will make it however you want, if your preferred combo of ingredients is not on the board, it’s no problem. French fries, loaded or no, mac & cheese, chili. Cold sandwiches, too, on bagel OR a wrap, or, get this, even on a bed of greens if you choose! Yes! If you can tear yourself away without grabbing two big fresh chocolate chip cookies for a dollar, you can even eat healthy here! And the staff… not only fast and efficient, but positive, outgoing and friendly. Kudos to the owners and management of this joint, they have hit a home run. I now work nearby(YAY!) and will return very often.

Let me just say that I’ve gone 4 times so far, and every single time I’ve gotten the Mac n’ Cheese Hot Dog topped with bacon. It’s SO good. They do offer a great variety of other unique topping combinations for hot dogs though. Along with their hamburgers, chili, fries, and ice cream, this place is a one stop shop if you’re not afraid of a few extra calories. Simple but nice atmosphere and design choice of the restaurant itself.

Sometimes it’s easy to bribe the better half to travel a bit. Promise him a new winter coat(Burlington) and a restaurant that specializes in hot dogs! We lived in Middletown for a few years, but I never seemed to venture over to Verity Parkway. Well, we definitely will be heading over there every so often after sampling this place. It’s tucked into a small strip mall… tiny place, unassuming though, thankfully easy to see from the road thanks to the bright blue paint on the façade. You walk in, order at one end of the counter and pay at the other. I ordered the Superman hot dog… huge ¼# Nathan’s hot dog with American cheese, cole slaw, crushed BBQ Grippo chips, bacon pieces and this wonderful sauce… it seemed to be a ketchup-mayo mix. I TRIED to eat it with my hands and failed miserably. I had to resort to a knife and fork, all fancy-like. The hubby opted for a hot dog topped with bacon mac & cheese plus other toppings and gave it thumbs up as well. We each got our hot dogs, sides and a drink. I opted for the chips(more Grippo’s) & pop combo which came with a can of soda, he went with a side of cheese fries(shredded cheese, also given the option of nacho) and a 20oz. beverage. All in all, I think it cost us around $ 16, so very affordable. I would definitely get the Superman again, though after seeing their Facebook page and finding what was on the gyro dog(hot dog of the week) I would definitely try that one too. Now I don’t think I will ever have to give the hubby a complicated reason to head over to Middletown again, I’ll just have to say«Want to go to The Stand?»

Small place in Middletown in a strip shopping center. Next to a Subway and Spinning Fork Italian place. Went for the first time cause I’ve heard so many good things. Inside isnt much to brag about with a bland décor, but the food is pretty good. Had a Chicago Style hot dog and it was pretty good size. Cost was minimal too. I hear the shakes are great but i just had a diet coke with my CD. They also had a big menu with lots of cool things…

Food was definitely weird! Not necessarily a bad thing though. I got a Reuben dog(hot dog with Swiss, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and pickles). It was good, although I picked the pickles off because I didn’t like their flavor. Otherwise it was very good. My husband got a Mac and cheese dog and said it was good, not great. His dog was a little tough. We suspect that maybe it was on the grill for a while before we got there. My daughter got a pulled pork sandwich and said it was really good. We also got ice cream and it was good. Hershey brand. The staff was very friendly. My husband talked football with one guy, another took the time to ask if my daughter won her game(since she was in her uniform). All in all, it’s a decent place to stop in for a bite. Not a destination though.

My wife and I have been here at least a half-dozen times since they opened. We have yet to have anything we have not enjoyed. We are particularly fond of the bagel sandwiches but the hot dogs are outstanding as well. Their menu is relatively small but you can customize any item anyway you like and not get uncharged for every substitution. Compared to the corporate franchises surrounding it, I will come here every time and will pay a few bucks extra if need be. They build your sandwich or hot dog right in front of you so you know exactly whats in it. Their bagels are locally made and they now serve chili three ways etc. The staff has always been welcoming and recognize us each time we are there. I would like to see more bagel/cream cheese varieties.

What a great alternative to the chain restaurants in Middletown! Just took my grandkids here for a quick dinner. They wolfed down their chili dogs made with Nathan’s brand hot dogs and I enjoyed a delicious Reuben on a bagel. Then they all got a milkshake with whipped cream. The grandkids all said their milkshakes were very good. I see they offer breakfast too — I will be back soon, for coffee and a bagel breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend over the usual fast food fare in the area. Also another plus, the staff was very friendly to my grandchildren and to me. Try it, you’ll like it!

In town for a soccer tournament & wanted a local place to eat. The dogs were great & the coney sauce was excellent. Those who had bagel sandwiches loved them. The hand dipped shake was also excellent. Easy to drive by but worth looking for.

The chili dogs are amazing. Better than gold star or skyline. Strawberry cheesecake shake is amazing. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I have tried just about everything they have. The coffee is a great way to start your day

Fantastic food, very reasonable… The owners & team working were extremely friendly, explained the menu(my 1st time) and were over the top super advocates of their fresh and delicious menu items… Thank God Middletown Ohio has a home town, authentic tasting, and now the GOTOPLACE for locals to get served great food and a good feeling atmosphere.

So far I am super impressed with this little joint. Fun modern décor inside and quite a bit to choose from. I got the Hillbilly Philly and my husband got the Chicago dog(on a pretzel bun), and jalapeño cheddar chips and they were great. I absolutely love the hot dogs even without all the fancy fixins on it! You can create your own or choose from one they have made up. They also have bagel sandwiches that sounded delicious too. They serve icecream, milkshakes, and gourmet coffee too! I tried the banana pudding icecream(which by the way I thought sounded very odd) and it was amazing! Chunks of wafer cookie and marshmallow swirls. Reminded me of my grandmothers. I’m excited to see so many new small buisness coming into middletown and this one won’t dissapoint you. Help support locally owned buisnesses!

The Stand is located right next to the Spinning Fork on Verity Parkway. Both have the same owner. We’ve been to the Spinning Fork several times and love it. We stopped by The Stand for ice cream after dinner, and were very impressed. The staff is great, and the ice cream, and desserts such as scones, are wonderful. This morning we stopped by for breakfast. They have a build your own breakfast bagel for $ 4. You can pick two proteins, cheese, and all the toppings you want. The eggs are cooked fresh, and are the size of an omelet! The bagels are very good, and you can also choose thick sliced bread for your breakfast sandwich. They also make very reasonably priced lattes, etc. and have a wide range of coffees. Finally, the hot dogs(which we have not tried, but will likely try tomorrow. Picture a Chipolte for hot dogs. People were lined out the door for hot dogs the night we got ice cream, so I assume they are spectacular.
