Maybe I’m not as hipster as I should be, but I really do not find this place that great. I do not care for their wines. Last time I bought a bottle, the cork ended up breaking off into the wine. I was so annoyed, I just threw out the wine(which is true alcohol abuse). And I know that you need to store wine on its side, so that was not the issue. I’m willing to go back again, but it has been a good 3 times that I was less than satisfied from their wine. I cannot drink beer, so maybe that’s what they do really well. Maybe I’m just old fashioned. I will say there is one wine that is drinkable, their crimson fox. However, that is the wine that the cork broke apart into. I want to really like this winery. It’s close to home, people are friendly, so I’m going to have to give it one last try.

I did the VIP wine tour with my friend. It was worth the money($ 26 for both of us together through Groupon), but not really worth the time, and I wouldn’t recommend it. First, we had a short guided tour. Not informative, the guide didn’t even know how they handle the grapes… Also, you only see the room where they produce the wine and the beer — you see several buckets, couple of tools. all was presented not in an interesting way. The tasting part was a bit better. In the beginning you need to choose between the sweet and the dry«package». Then you get to try 6 wines(very small tasters) paired with cheeses, chocolates, fruits, and crackers. In this part the guide knew to tell us more than in the tour itself. Usually I’m a big fan of red dry wines, but in this case the 2 red wines they gave us to try were pretty bad. might be a matter of personal taste, though.

We came here for the wine and found that there is a microbrewery here also. It is located in a semi rural area near the highway. The wine tasting room is in the farm house and the beer is in the barn. They have a nice area for relaxing with a bottle of wine or some beers with both indoor and outdoor seating. You can bring food and enjoy an afternoon. My husband and I tasted most of the wines. They were completely out of some –so no tasting those. They have 5 dry whites, 2 dry reds, and 6 semi-sweet and sweet wines. They also have 3 specialty wines. I tried Oaked Chardonnay which was very nice — smooth, bright and buttery finish. The Seyval Blanc was a summery wine — fruity and light. The Gewurtztraminer was slightly fruity, clean finish, lovely. The Pinot Grigio was fruity and clean finish. The Merlot had a velvety mouthfeel, nice fruity tones and clean finish. The Crimson Fox is sweet, light, fruity with a lingering aftertaste. Then we walked to the barn to try some of the beer. The Pale Ale was very nice, a little spice, nice balance. The Pom Beach was lemony and slightly sweet. The Chocolate MILF was very dark and bitter. The IPA was hoppy and has a lingering aftertaste. The Hefeweizen was well balanced, slightly wheaty, and has a clean finish. The Flash Gourdin was slightly clovey with a lingering aftertaste. The Sap Sucker was dark, very chocolatey, and a little sweet.

My hubby and I stopped by midweek for a tasting. There is ample parking. There is nothing special about the outside of the winery, but they have a seperate outdoor deck(upper and lower levels) for their outdoor concerts/events which looks nice. It is only accessible during those times. The tasting area is set up nicely and it is very clean. Tastings are $ 5 and Aaron who served us was very knowledgeable and personable. They have a variety of wines from dry through sweet, and everything was good that I tried. We purchased a bottle of the Twisted Kiss. I would like to go back for a concert some time and check it out then.

My wife and I stopped in last Saturday while we were in the area. We didn’t have the advanced noticed for a vip tour but plan on doing that in the future. We did a tasting in the store, the guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable and pleasant. After the tasting in the store we went down to the bar and tried a flight of their beer. Overall we got 9 bottles to bring home. The place is beautiful and we really enjoyed our time there. My only complaint is that to taste 5 wines, it costs each person $ 5. In my opinion, the $ 5 should come off if you buy 5 or more bottles. For the two of us, we paid $ 10 plus what we bought to bring home(over $ 100). That’s the reason for the 4 star review instead of 5.

It’s a great facility. The microbrews are a great addition. I would give a higher rating if the wine tasting wasn’t so expensive or if your tasting was refunded when you bought a bottle of wine! The wine is definitely not worth over $ 5 for five sips of half decent wine.

My friend and I did a «VIP» tour and tasting on 10÷5÷2014. It was a great experience. We both bought a bottle of the dry Riesling. It’s a beautiful property.

Had a great time visiting this place. i found a deal on Groupon for a wine and beer festival and decided to give it a try. Besides the amazing bonfire at the end of the night, they had live music and huge field to dance the night away. we were able to go sample some great wines and who knew they made their own beers as well. The musicians walked around and talked to everyone giving the vineyards high praise which shows that they really enjoy working for them. great place to go on a date for sure.

During our vacation to Hershey we used a Saturday to do the VIP wine tasting at the vineyard at Hershey. I’ve seen lots of shows featuring vineyards and pictures of vineyards but this was my first actual trip to vineyard. The vineyard has been in operation for three years and it shows. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing(as my four stars show). It’s a cosy place with a mom and pop charm that makes some decent wine and better than average beer. The VIP wine tasting was $ 19.99 per person and I thought gave a ton of value for the price. Coming from NYC it could be that I am just used to being priced gouged so there’s that. The package included a tour(which was short since this place is a small operation), a tasting of a pre-set flight of wines, a souvenir glass, discount on wine purchases, and chocolate/cheese/cracker pairings for the wine. I’ve done a couple of wine tastings and thought the amount of wines we had were pretty good. It may have been 6 to 7 wines. The tasting isn’t guided so you are left with sipping the wines and talking to each other about the flavor. Our host did stop by to answer questions and give some tips for drinking the wines. I’ve done some tastings and wine classes before so it didn’t bother me to have to go it alone. I really enjoyed their sweet wines and bought a couple of bottles to take home. After the tasting we hung out on the deck and listened to the live music and had some gourmet grilled cheese from a local food truck. Artichoke grilled cheese may just be my new late night drunk food. I also opted to do a beer tasting at about $ 10. The tasting could accomodate two to three people and in hindsight I should have probably shared since after all the wine and all the beer I was whipping out the phone to dial long lost friends. My favorite beer was their blueberry one. I am not really a fan of blueberry beer but this was very refreshing. Their chocolate beer was also pretty good and a great nod to Hershey. I hated the IPA and the less said about that the better. Overall it was a great day. And my thanks to the staff with putting up with my frantic e-mails trying to find the place. There are two Middletown PA’s fyi.

Went for tour de tanks and had a GREAT time. They gave us popcorn while we waited for the next tour and let us sample a peanut butter/caramel/butterscotch cider that they were experimenting with. The staff were all very friendly(and yeah, some were dressed down, but who cares??). The tour consisted of 2 different wines sampled with 2 varieties of meatballs made to compliment the wine. Was delicious. We did the ‘official’ tastings back in the house, which were enjoyable. Afterward, we enjoyed a beer in the garage area where a guy was entertaining on acoustic guitar. The maple beer was delicious. Was such a nice, relaxed atmosphere, and it felt younger and more vibrant. Their approach to winemaking/brewing overall is refreshing. I like how they are experimental with the wine/beer and I appreciated a break from the stuffiness you get with some wineries. Some mentioned proximity to the kennel, or interstate. I noticed the kennel but there is zero interference with the winery. The seating area is nowhere near it. Highly recommend a visit.

Surprisingly nice. Been to Napa, this had a lovely charm and the signature chocolate wine was a great end point. The cheeses were also good.

Kind of reminds me of a fraternity house when it is really busy because there are just too many people in a tiny space(and only mediocre drinks). I prefer dry wines to their sweet vintages.

I held my sister’s bridal shower on the top floor of the farmhouse at the Vineyard at Hershey, and can not recommend it enough for a special event. We were able to bring our own food and decorate the space however we liked. The wines were great and the staff wonderfully accommodating. Our guests loved learning about the wine, and most importantly my sister, the bride, had a fantastic day. Highly recommend.
