Best happy hour specials in town. hands down — no place compares to their food, ambiance, large beautiful bar, nice music & great location.

We met my niece and her boyfriend for dinner here on Saturday night. Place was very crowded but we had a reservation and got table right away. Nice mix of customers — families, older couples, singles. Welcoming management. Place had a nice vibe and good feel to it. Plenty of parking in a huge lot next door. Big menu and interesting drink menu. We had Bullit bourbon with birch liquor and a gin cocktail with cranberry, lime juice topped off with prosecco. Also a wonderful bottle of Château St. Michelle Washington chardonnay. Appetizers we had included mussels and Tuscan meatballs, which were garnished with peppers but the dish was room temp. and needed to be hotter. Entrees we had included chicken parm., which was big enough to share, and a pan roasted cod served over jasmine rice with peppers — excellent! Bread was crispy, warm and served with a wonderful herbed olive oil. Dessert of carrot cake was stellar! Our server was pleasant, relatively prompt, but just o.k. at best. Overall, it was a very good dining experience, reasonably priced, and on our list to come back to whenever we can.

Came for restaurant week and it was our first time there. At 8pm on Friday it was packed! We had to wait as we wound up having to bring our daughter due to last min change of plans so they had to find us another table as our reservation was for 2. Didn’t mind as it was our fault and the hostess was extremely nice and kept apologizing. The bread with the olive oil that is put on each table was delicious! We got a second basket because it was so good. We each ordered the clams appetizer and an additional calamari app for the table and I got the bourbon flank steak and my boyfriend the chicken carbonara. We got pasta with Alfredo for our daughter. Calamari was good, liked the 2 different sauces. The clam appetizer was very good but I was disappointed with getting only 3 clams per order. It was a tease. We both felt our entrees were ok– nothing exceptional and if we returned wouldn’t be a repeat order. The steak was too sweet for my liking but cooked perfectly. The pasta for our little one was a large portion but flavorless. She actually wouldn’t eat it and ate the chicken carbonara instead. Dessert– we didn’t get a choice of desserts(I see previous reviewers did…) and were given chocolate cake. It was good, my boyfriend loved it and he is not a go to chocolate person. Service was great-our waitress was very nice and our daughter loves to talk and she was very patient with her and dialogued with her. Overall I think we will come back and try some other things just bc of the exceptional service, bread and flavors of the appetizers.

Tuscany Grille is one of those restaurants, that I have always meant to visit. Restaurant Week gave me the added incentive… a 3 course meal for $ 20.16. Me and my boys met my mother in law for a 5:30 dinner. We got there just before the happy hour crowd. Perfect timing on our part. We were promptly greeted and seated. Water was quickly brought to the table, along with menus. The servers were friendly and attentive. We all decided to take advantage of the specials. I chose the Sausage & Polenta and the Bourbon Glazed Flank Steak. My hubby ordered the Beet Salad and the Chicken Carbonara. My mother in law ordered the Beet Salad and the Steak. We also ordered the Cheeseburger and Sweet Potato Fries, for the little guy. My sausage and polenta was wonderful. The sausage was cooked perfect, as was the creamy polenta. The salads seemed to be rather small, but I was told that they were good. The size may have been due to the special menu. Our meals all arrived quickly and were cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were larger than I expected. My sons meal was larger than he could handle, so my husband and I helped him out. His cheeseburger was flavorful and juicy. My husband raved about the sweet potato fries, saying they were the best he’s had. Our only complaint would be the dessert. After such a wonderful meal, I expected more from the desserts. We were given two choices, the Chocolate Cake or Strawberry Shortcake. I immediately jumped at the chance to order my favorite summertime treat, Strawberry Shortcake. Boy, was I surprised, when I was brought a tiny piece of sheet cake. What was worse, was that there wasn’t a single strawberry on the plate. I could only compare the«strawberry» in this cake, to a jam. The chocolate cake was better, but far from memorable. I will definitely be returning. Hopefully, the dessert was a fluke!

I have eaten here many times over the years, and I am indeed a fan. However, my wife and I went here for dinner during restaurant week and we were a little disappointed. We had reservations and were kept waiting for almost 20 minutes. Initially we were told that the table had to be bussed, then after waiting for quite a while we asked what the hold up was. We were told they were waiting for silverware. I asked why we couldn’t sit at the table and have a drink while waiting for silverware, instead of standing at the hostess desk, and we were finally seated. My wife ordered the sausage appetizer, only to be told they had run out. Hmmm. I had the steamed clams and they were adequate, but not up to Tuscany’s usual standards. For dinner I had the flank steak and although it was ok, I was surprised to find all of the food just slopped on the plate looking like it had come from a high school cafeteria. My wife had the chicken, which looked and tasted like it had been boiled. I must say that once we were seated I was very impressed with the service. The place was slammed but our waitress was attentive, pleasant and fast. Realistically, you cannot expect to get Tuscany’s normal quality for $ 20 for a three course meal, but I was disappointed that the front end was so disorganized and the food was really mediocre and poorly presented. It is the only time I have been disappointed at Tuscany, so I gave it the four stars that their normal service deserves, but I will pass on future restaurant week offerings there.

Tuscany Grille is a wonderful place to go… When patrons aren’t falling out of the doors and pressed against the windows during busy times that is. I went on a Wednesday night around 7:30 and it so happened to be trivia night, it wasn’t busy at all, plenty of room at the bar, so it was nice. The bar tender was incredibly friendly, I even ordered a special martini and she made it perfectly and with enthusiasm. I had the chicken fajita wrap which is my go to here because it’s a terrific value for what you get. $ 7.50 for a plate full of the most wonderful french fries this side of the Mason-Dixon Line, a smashingly good wrap containing blackened chicken, and other various fixings. I always ask for a side of MAYONNAISE(!!) so I can dip my french fries in with some ketchup. Normally at most dining establishments I get a pretty basic response along the lines of «sure», and they come back and squirt some mayo in your face and say«here’s ya mayo ya pain!». Not here no sir/ma’am, the food runner who brought out my plate of french fry and wrap delight was more than happy to grab me a side of mayo and even went so far as to ask if I’d like to also try their homemade chipotle mayo. «Would I ever!» I exclaimed, he promptly returned with two large cups of mayo and I continued to enjoy my fries and wrap with my mayo flight. Nice job you champions of Tuscany!

6 people at 6 pm on Saturday night, hostess seemed to be a little confused but found our reservation. We were seated and our waitress promptly came over and asked for drink orders, a bottle of red wine, 2 bourbons, white wine and a couple of waters. While she was getting our drinks we figured out our 3 appetizers. Everyone really liked the wine the waitress suggested. The appetizers arrived and the fritters were awesome! The other two were standard italian fare with good mozzarella cheese slices. Ordered our entrees, everyone ordered something different, salmon, steak, blackened chicken, chicken parm, swordfish and something vegetarian. Everything was huge portions and cooked perfectly. Samples of every entrée was shsred, everyone agreed this was a good choice. The waitress did a great job of keeping our drinks filled and our table cleared. Time for dessert, we ordered one of each item of the dessert menu. The carrrot cake and the pumpkin desserts were the best. If you aren’t afraid to spend a little more for a great dining experience, this is the place to eat in Middletown.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Middletown! I have no idea why the bad reviews!!! They have fantastic happy hour specials, especially on Fridays when they do a free buffet, and the food is fantastic! Love their butternut squash ravioli in the winter– can’t beat it! And their olive burger is amazing– and I hate olives. Also amazing salads. Great food and great atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times on weekends for wine and appetizers. Overall, the food, wine and service have been consistently good. There is a nice outdoor patio to enjoy on summer evenings and the menu often has a good variety of specials.

I’ve been here about 4 or 5 times and I have been more than happy every time. We always get seated quickly and the servers are very quick and good about checking on their tables without hovering. Their drinks are a little pricey for how strong they are, but not really uncommon for mixed drinks at restaurants. I have been happy with each dish that I have ordered. They also have a nice little outdoor seating patio behind the building, which is nice compared to the other Main Street outdoor seating that borders the sidewalk. Recently we had one minor issue but it was handled very well. My boyfriend ordered the Corn Ravioli with chicken and the chicken was rubbery and tasted like it had been microwaved. He isn’t the type to send food back, but he was just not pleased and this was an $ 18 meal. After two bites he had asked to change dishes and the waitress was very accommodating. She had the kitchen put a rush on the new order and it was in front of us within 10 minutes. I only wish she had asked what the problem was, but that’s not really an issue. We were not charged for the first dish. Overall — I’d recommend Tuscany if you are in the area and looking for an affordable Italian dinner with good service.

I had pan fried scallops … Can’t go wrong there !!! My hubby had the pork loin tips smothered in gravy, equally as good :) would definitely eat here again !!!

I am not at all sure why this restaurant can’t get a decent review as my experience was that the service wat top notch! I have only been once though so not sure if I hit them on a good night maybe? I am really fussy about good service since I was a server for many years and I was really good at it so I expect a lot out of my server and I tip really well. Several of us went for dinner one night and we had a lovely meal and the service was outstanding. We never wanted for anything. I drink a lot of water and that thing was full at all times and I also never really knew they were there which is the sign of an excellent waitstaff. Will definitely go again! Food was also excellent. The eggplant tower was to die for and a friend had the fried ravioli(not on the menu) special and it was excellent! Not at all greasy and just the right amount of breading. Will definitely hit this place up again soon!

I went for a «tap takeover» for a local brewery, DUVIGBREWERY. The bartenders were rude and never smiled unless one of the off duty coworkers came up to get a free drink. the waitstaff looked MISERABLE and equally as rude as the bartender. The only person smiling was the hostess. Which i found out later is «part owner» and gets drunk at the bar with her husband at the end of the nite and are all over each other. People i was with had the eggplant parm stack and said it was AMAZING! So tho the staff SUCKS the food is good and worth it. But honestly a message for the staff… smile…it doesnt hurt and ull get more tips!

I have absolutely no idea why this place only gets one star. We have been there twice and found it to be great both times. What we like is that in addition to the Italian food they have«meat and potato«options and change their menu for the season. Another bonus is that there is an adjacent parking lot, which is a rare gem for downtown Middletown.

Was in Middlefield for a business trip and this place was suggested by one of my coworkers. The place was not at all busy on this Tuesday evening we were there, so we were quickly seated. My chair was in an odd place backed up next to a column, which made it very difficult to get in and out of. Not sure why they would even put a chair there in the first place. It happened to be restaurant week while we were there, so in addition to the main menu, there was also a special menu for restaurant week, which is what we ended up ordering off of. I started with the mozzarella, followed by a pasta dish, and then a cake for dessert. All of the food was good and there was certainly plenty of it! I was utterly stuffed by the time dessert came around. Service was just OK and given that it wasn’t overly busy, felt it should have been more attentive. Not sure why this place currently has a 1-star rating. I certainly don’t think it’s worthy of that rating. I would have no problem going back next time I’m in the area.

Used to go there a lot a few years back. Went for lunch last week… What a mistake. Service? Terrible. Food was worse. I had ravioli and I think the cheese or the sauce was bad!!! Waited for 15 min for the check… Finally had to get up and pay at the bar… Too many good restaurants in Middletown these days. Avoid this one…

I wasn’t impressed… we had to wait 45 min for our table which is fine but then after we ordered it took well over an hour to get any of our food. The real problem I had is that we received no communication from the waitress as to why our wait was so long or to be honest that they were having issues in the kitchen. We ordered a few restaurant week dinner menus and never even received the desert. The clams were horrible. The waitress reduced our bill but our whole visit really just left a bad taste in our mouth.
