This is a fun restaurant! I got to come here with my parents and a family friend. The portions were all huge and they start with chips and salsa on tap. The restaurant is colorful and was fun. I had Molcajete which is a stone bowl full of all the meats they have(chorizo, shrimp, chicken and beef) with beans, scallions and a fire roasted jalapeño. I thought that the food good and the flavor of the . I would recommend to a friend for Mexican food in Midland Michigan.

I was a little wary at first but this is the best Mexican food I’ve had in the north. Service was quick, food was great and the staff was very friendly. I’m looking forward to my next Midland trip so I can try it again!

As an Okie visiting my boyfriend in MI I’d researched for Mexican food, which is limited in the area, and decided on Entre Amigos. We sat at the bar and I’ll first say the lighting is awful over the bar area(dark) and the narrow ledge makes it a challenge to eat from a full size plate. That’s my only negative. You do get chips and salsa with your meal which is standard in OK so I’m surprised that’s a big deal in MI. The chips were good and hot, but a bit on the thick side and the salsa was good. Just a little heavy on the cilantro, but not bad. We shared a half order of shrimp nachos with a side of fresh guacamole to start. Very good. Melted queso, not grated cheese, and plump shrimp with onions and peppers. The perfect size for 2 to share as an appetizer unless you’re a chronic overeater.(Remember you have chips and salsa already.) For the entrée we decided to share the Burrito al Carbone’. It had seasoned steak fajita meat. The meat was seasoned perfectly, but a touch on the chewy side. It was covered with queso and had a side of standard refried beans and rice. Portion was large and we were glad we were sharing. The best part… A great frozen margarita. Ordered the 32oz lime w/no salt to share. We love our margaritas and me being from OK we have unlimited possibilities. This was definitely up there in quality. The mix wasn’t overly sweet and the tequila was strong enough to tell it was there, but not overpowering. The service was great. Fast, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is very«authentic» Mexican style in my opinion. We left full, but in no way miserable. I’d give a 3.5 if possible, but I refuse to downgrade to a 3 star.

Stopped in for dinner tonight and had a nice time. The wait staff was very friendly and on top of things. Our food order came out very quickly and tasted delicious. Also, you get free chips and salsa with your meal. And the salsa comes in a small pitcher. Awesome!

Seems like for the last few years the restaurant quit caring about quality. The food was not up to par. Sad. I will still come here due to lack of options!

We stopped over en route from northern Michigan. I chanced it by getting the spinach & mushroom enchiladas, a kind of exotic vegetarian choice – but they were so good! I was overjoyed, and my family all ate heartily. I would recommend this place to anyone who is tired of mediocre mexican, and wants honestly good food for a change.

Forever a staple of awesome Midland dining. Every time I’m in the mood for a good quick meal — I go to Entre Amigos. I love their Grilled Chicken lunch item. Chicken over rice with their delicious queso cheese poured on top. Don’t forget the free endless chips and salsa!

Entre Amigos has an extensive menu, and reasonably priced lunch entrees(most for $ 7 – 8 dollars). The service here is reasonable, although somewhat inconsistent. My largest complaint is the quality and authenticity of the food. The options are much closer to amer-mex or tex-mex than mexican food, and ingredients — particularly the meat — are not up to the standards I would hope to find. Nevertheless, you can’t find queso fundido con chorizo anywhere else in town, so I keep coming back. Satisfied if not fully contented.

Indianapolis has good Mexican food? No wonder Kristin thinks this place is good. You don’t go to Indianapolis for good Mexican food for god’s sakes. Try any place in Southern California, Texas, New Mexico or Arizona for good Mexican food. «I’m from Indianapolis and we are cool. We’ve only been cool for a few years, but we are indeed cool, and our restaurants are from which all others are judged»… lol

Regardless of previous reviews, I thought this place knocked it out of the park. Being from and working for Indianapolis, I have had exposure to tons of different Mexican restaurants and if this were in Indy I’d be back again next week. Monday was half off margaritas. Bonus! The appetizer samplers were enough for three. Sold! The kids loved it, the adults were full, and we left with the best meal I had in days. I only minused one star because the waitress was good but we were left wanting /needing drinks several times. Her tip would have a been a few bucks higher too if not doe this. Next trip back up to visit the family will find me back here. People in this area need to be appreciative of their restaurant they have.

Same old generic food as the other places in the area. Good chips, friendly service. $ 12 for a taco lunch with an extra taco on the side? I could have went to Taco Bell at least twice.

This place is alright. I thought it was tremendous the first time I came here, but I think I may have been craving Mexican and anything would have seemed terrific. In subsequent visits it remained decent — but I wouldn’t recommend it over any other place in Midland.

Considering the Mexican food I’ve had in the past, this food is terrible compared to it. Nothing was flavorful at all, and most of it was a disappointment. The service, however, was fast, and the waitress was very nice. I ordered the fajitas, which is something I rarely get. I ended up with a few strips of chicken and a plateful of onions and green pepper. So basically, I paid $ 15 for grilled onions and a three fajita tortillas. I would say the worst part about this place is their menu. They literally have pages and pages of offerings. There had to be over 100 options on the menu. That’s insane. And the pictures on the menu? It looked like dog crap on a plate, to be completely honest. Not very appetizing pictures. Overall, fast service, decent atmosphere, mediocre food and nothing special.

Decent Mexican food. This place wasn’t great, but not bad either. Totally serviceable if you just need your Mexican food fix while in Midland. The service was super fast and attentive, and the quality of the food was pretty decent. I did get the impression that some of the food may have been microwaved though(which would explain why it came out so quickly). I would come here again, but certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to do it.

This place has gone downhill significantly. The food is bland and overpriced, and the mango margarita sounds like a good idea but is actually disgusting. The only redeeming thing about this place is the chips and salsa, but I don’t think they are good enough for me to go back.

I used to come to this place when it was known as Los Cuatro Amigos and it was part of that small chain. Then the partnersargued and this restaurant was spun off to a disgruntled partner and the name was changed. It was quite good(not great) as Los Cuatro Amigos with some interesting, if not very authentic dishes. This evening a business associate and I went to Entre Amigos, at my suggestion, with me hoping it was as good as it was before. Boy, was I ever embarrassed! This place has gone WAY down hill. The interesting dishes are gone and with them the decent kitchen staff, it seems. The restaurant was not busy, so there was no excuse for the kitchen. The food was tepidly warm(i.e., cold) and wildly over-salted with little flavor. A $ 1 Banquet microwave enchilada meal would offer this place strong competition. The chips were generous in quantity, but institutional in quality and the salsa served with them watery… almost the whole basket went in the trash. Service was OK, but no better than that. Drinks were re-filled in a reasonable time, but we were not asked how the food was(by anyone). I think they don’t want to know what you think. They may already know. That’s it for me. Never going back to this place again until Gordon Ramsey comes out to Midland to read the owner of this place the riot act and try to get them putting out at least OK tasting and properly hot food. Bad, really bad. I looked at reviews and it appears that the remaining Los Cuatro Amigos restaurants may still be holding up some kind of acceptable level of service and food quality.

Never have I seen a better display of ancient Aztec warrior art. I don’t know if it is the velvet or metal canvasses, but it really adds to the ambiance. My favorite is the picture of the warrior shooting his arrow into the sky while resting his foot on a helpless heroin. Is the warrior shooting demons in the sky? Is he shooting an eagle to add feathers to his sweet outfit? I may never know. Regardless, this place screams swagger from a 70’s bachelor pad. The food is pretty decent.
