Optics Unique

The inside is nice and you can browse the glasses without being bothered, which I like, but I can see how someone from another place –where they smother you with «customer service» wouldn’t like that). The building looks like a little castle and it’s in the middle of Midland which I liked.
Honestly, my first visit didn’t leave a good impression, I thought maybe I caught the Dr. on a bad day, he seemed very serious and unfriendly. However, I didn’t want to have to look for another place and had gotten my exam already so I returned and I’m glad I did. The next time I came in I requested 2 different types of contacts prescriptions and Dr. Gray happily obliged, he was more talkative and thoroughly answered all my questions.
On my last visit I was picking up glasses and the lady who helped me said if I didn’t like them or had problems I could still contact her, despite the fact I was moving to CA, and she’d help me out with a solution.
I honestly haven’t had a better optometry spot than this one, being I just got my first eye exam in CA, and am very much missing Optics Unique.
The only cons I can remember is that they close pretty early and that sometimes the front desk staff weren’t super attentive, but I can overlook the last thing.

I’m new to town and needed to order glasses for my son. We walked in and were there looking around for 15 minutes. We counted 4 employees that looked at us, but never once acknowledged our existence. At one point another customer came out after having his eyes examined, a staff member was talking with him, looked right at us, and again completely ignored us. Never have I been to a business that had such poor customer service. I will not be back.

I have been going to Optics Unique for… well since as long as I can remember. The staff remembers who I am, and are quite friendly and helpful. All the Doctors and every single person in that office go out of their way EVERY TIME to make it an enjoyable experience. Although I live in Dallas /​Fort Worth now, I still plan my eye appointments to line up with my trips back home to Midland. Thumbs Up!
