I really wanted to like this place. I’ve read the menu online and was excited to be out and about during lunch to try the lunch buffet. They have updated their online menu to «menu items subject to change, check Facebook». Lunch buffet: hot dogs and hamburgers(buns in a heated drawer in the store plastic bag) with chili, cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, jalapenos, sauerkraut, lattice chips with your choice of dry seasonings to sprinkle, and a soda – All for $ 6.99. Mustard and ketchup on the table, mayonnaise in packets on the buffet, and one lone bottle of siracha to share. Heard talk of tater tots but never saw them. Unimpressed. Could have this at home for cheaper. Nothing wowed me or the Hubs. If I try again, I’ll just order off the menu – only now found out(through another review) they offer a lunch special of 2 dogs, fries, and drink for $ 5.00. The owners/workers are very pleasant but it just doesn’t help the mediocre food. Sorry.

Found this place when I was working in the area. I got a Chicago and a Carolina dog to take out. They were excellent and loaded with toppings. I’ll be making it a regular stop when I’m in the Midlothian area. This was a lunch stop but I’ll be back for dinner and a craft beer soon! It’s a great addition to the little shopping center.

Came in here on a VERY rainy evening. I almost didn’t go in because I didn’t see anyone else there. When I walked in two employees were talking. They acknowledged me then kept talking as I reviewed the menu. The conversation wasn’t necessarily appropriate to be had while a customer was within ear shot. The menu is massive and the place doesn’t seem to have a good sense of what they are. Tons of food options.. a buffet.. . free chips. This might be a case where less would be more. The hot dog that I ordered had chili, slaw, and mustard. It was a slim, long dog on a really big bun. All of the elements were good but the bun was just too big and really should have been toasted to add a different texture. The fries that accompanied it were pretty basic crinkle cut fries and needed seasoning. I hope the folks who run King Tut’s scale back the menu and focus on the hot dogs.

Waited about 30 minutes for food in an almost empty restaurant. Dogs were small and lacked in flavor with too many toppings and too much bread. The price was too much for this food and service. Front staff was very nice and helpful. We won’t be going back though.

Had the bacon cheddar dog and my wife had the Nathan’s dog. We also split a large order of onion rings, and tried some complimentary lattice chips. The lattice chips were okay to snack on, but I would have been disappointed if I had paid for them. The onion rings are good, but neither one of us cared for the pharoah sauce that came with them. Stick to the good old ketchup. The hot dogs were very good, and worth the trip. The rolls they use are good, and not the typical hot dog buns. We both liked what we ordered very much, and will go back again. Our meal, with a drink, was only about $ 15, so the prices are pretty reasonable. All in all, not a bad place.

This was our first trip to King Tut’s and we will definitely be going back again soon. It is a great place close by and a great find. There are hot dogs burgers grilled cheese numerous sides. There is a great lunch special with 2 hot dogs fries and drink for $ 5.00 It was cool also that there are games around to play. Checkers chess and some old school video games.

Finally a hot dog and burger joint in my neighborhood. And they have beer and are walking distance from my home. You know what they say: Location, Location, Location. It doesn’t get any better.

Great family spot. Games for kids and reasonable prices! Try for that evening after work that you just don’t feel like cooking.

I went to the hot dog joint sooner earlier review on Unilocal and I figured let me try them out just to see how bad it could actually be it’s a hot dog for Pete’s sake when I walk to the counter the young lady sitting behind the counter menus to the right of her well she’s on the phone I’ll wait to be seated I thought I just had to go up to the bar then she has been Man you told me to find a chair and I’ll be with me shortly. Large restaurant with a lot of empty chairs hot dogs are overpriced and the taste ballpark Frank would be better

Best place for a hot dog. The chili is great and the selection of hot dogs and sausages is amazing. This is a nice family run family establishment. My son loves to get a plain Nathan’s. I love the Garbage Barge. Give them a try the prices aren’t bad at all.

Sorry, Tut. I wanted to like your place, I really did, but I didnt. The menu looked good, there were great reviews, the restaurant was clean, but the food was disappointing. The dog I got was loaded with chili and onions but neither had any flavor. The dog itself had an ‘off’ taste, so I didnt eat more than a bite or two. Luckily I ordered fries, which were ok. Not great, but ok. I ordered a funnel cake and watched as the cook took a pre-made cake from the freezer and cook it again in hot grease. Really? For $ 4 you cant fry them fresh? I took it anyway lying to myself that it wouldn’t be that bad but knowing it would be. It was. There may be things on the menu that are better than what I ordered but I won’t be going back to find out.

Great beer choices and food. There is a large menu and it all looks great, with unique hot dog and hamburger toppings. A few more TVs with a mix of sports, news and programming for children would go a long way. I am very impressed to walk in and see a class act, sit-down restaurant, not just a hot dog hut!

I dig it. This place is almost a stones throw from my house, and they have quite an attractive and diverse menu available. Even some rare beers, too. The hotdogs really are delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed my foot long topped with chili, onions and mustard. But the price tag is just a bit higher than I think it should be. My fiancée and I both grabbed an appetizer, a drink, and a hotdog and paid like 30 bucks.

Excellent food, great service and good rotating selection of beers, some locals. A lot of the dogs are made for the restaurant. Stop in at least once a week!

Great Food & awesome service. Very friendly folks and inviting environment for family/kids. They have a Foosball table and couple of other games. I had the Carolina dog that was very good. Will take pictures next time. We need to support our local business’s. Can’t wait to go back.
