Being new to the area and struggling to find a new hair salon, I was very pleased to have a family member recommend Ahead of Hair. I have been to both locations, and each salon is beautifully decorated. The staff is very accommodating, and goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is a pleasant one. I wouldn’t go any other place!

I have only been here once as my son sees Kara for his haircuts. We’ve followed her from Rituals to Nesbit and now here. I had a fine experience 4 weeks ago when she cut his hair. Looked great as always. I prebooked his next appointment for this week. I just recieve a call from them confirming my appointment with another stylist. When I told them that was wrong that my son sees Kara they said oh well she’s no longer here so we put him with someone else. I told them to cancel the appointment. To assume that I would just be ok seeing someone else is completely disregarding the client/​stylist relationship. She is the only one who has ever got my son’s hair right!

I cannot say enough about this salon! I ended up here on a whim (my usual hair stylist was out of town and I desperately needed a trim!) and am so happy I did! The ladies here are friendly and so accommodating. I saw Evelyn who I LOVED! I have very fine, thin hair so it’s hard to find someone who can cut it just right. She did an amazing job! I recently had her put in their brand of extensions LOX and I am obsessed! They look so natural and weren’t all that expensive (for real human hair extensions!). If you’re looking for a new salon, give them a visit!

I have tried a few salons since moving to the area based on groupon promotions — but none had amazed me. This time I thought I’d try some place new hoping to be amazed. I called on a Saturday morning and was able to make an appointment for the same day for a cut and color (I was excited to get in on such short notice — I also didn’t have a stylist preference which made it a little easier).
I came in 10 minutes before my appointment, as they request, and only waited a few moments before Morgan greeted me. She offered a beverage, hung up my coat and discussed with me what we had planned for my visit. I was open to a change, which we did (blonde to brunette in hopes of minimizing upkeep) and although I’m still not sold on the color she spent her time to make sure the cut and color were done properly. I look forward to returning in a couple months!
