It’s an ‘Okay’ place to go. Service is usually good and food is decent. I feel like I’m eating in a bank though — not much on décor inside or out.

Service was very nice and quick! I had a taco salad that was very soupy and didn’t enjoy the flavor very much. My husbands enchiladas were ok. They took the taco salad off the bill which was very kind of them. Restaurant itself was nice and clean.

After fasting all day I was looking for somewhere to break my fast and decided to try the Gyro here. What a great choice. The service was excellent and I had the coleslaw as my side. I will certainly be returning.

Love, love, love the Brickhouse Diner! What I am about to say is bold, but I will say it anyway: they have, what I consider to be, the best burger in RVA: I start with the Greek Burger(½ lb fresh ground steak burger with feta cheese and grilled onions) and add bacon and an over-medium fried egg. On top of that, some shredded lettuce(another plus to the BHD) and SUPER-delicious fresh-cut french fries — it is AAAAH-MAZING! While the burgers are the highlight, they have an extensive menu of other sandwiches and paninis, Greek classics(spanakopita, gyros, moussaka and souvlaki), and italian dishes(spaghetti, lasagna, etc), not to mention, some tasty seafood and specials! Their breakfast is also outstanding, highlighted by deliciousness like the Country Fried Steak Skillet(two eggs and country-fried steak topped with homemade sausage gravy served over a skillet of home fries) and the Croissant French Toast. The BHD has become a staple for us on Friday nights, not only as a great start to the weekend, it is around the corner from my daughters’ preschool. My only compliant is that their lobby is incredibly small, so the wait on the weekends very much resembles a big game of Twister. But it’s worth it… oh, so worth it.

My husband and I come here when we crave really good Gyros. The portions are huge and the staff is friendly. We love their zucchini appetizer w marinara sauce. Try their fresh-cut fries and homemade chips.

Quaint on inside. Food was pretty good. Salad was really fresh! Burgers were good. Spinakopita was okay. I would come back but not going to be my favorite. Bathroom was a little dirty/grimy which always makes me nervous about kitchen cleanliness.

Absolutely great down home restaurant in the middle of chains. Portions are generous and I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s not incredible but your not paying for that either. It’s just a great place with great food great service and great prices.

I don’t understand the good reviews. The service was slow, the atmosphere is dull, no character whatsoever, and the food was bland to bad. My medium burger was every bit of well done and very dry and crumbly. My husband’s shrimp poboy was all bread, very few shrimp. And it took forever when there were only a few tables in there. I’ll give it another chance but I was not impressed. It’s cheap though.

I’ve never had a bad meal here. Portions are redonkulous, and they have nice prices. One of the best salads you can get in the area. They pile a metric ton of chicken on them.

My husband and I love it here! The Spaghetti is HUGE! And it is SO good! Parking is limited, and the restaurant itself is small, but we love the food and as many times as we have eaten here, have only experienced slower service a handful of times! I attributed the slower service to the ages of the wait staff. Because it is a sweet mom and pop, local, family owned business, they hire local teens for their waitstaff. For the most part, they are all sweet and attentive, but being young, sneaking phone/text time is inevitable. One time, our waitress had a close friend come in and my table was all but forgotten. We could have easily gotten our check from the front desk, but decided to hang out and visit for a bit. All in all, the food and service here is on point! My family will continue eating here, and consider it one of our favorites!

We were looking for a Friday night dinner spot on Good Friday where we could get a non-meat option. Diners are allays good for variety and, in worse case, breakfast any time, so we headed to the Brickhouse Diner. The wait was only 10 – 15 minutes and when we were seated Brianna was very attentive and helpful. I got the Buffalo Shrimp wrap with side of hush puppies and, combined with the sweet tea, it filled the bill. Gr at food and service

This is our second visit. I wish we had tried this restaurant sooner. Everything has been delicious. We have trouble deciding on which meal to order. So far we have had burgers, a gyro and the brick house reuben. Always happy with our service and meal. I definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a great experience! It was Friday Night we were seated right away didn’t have to wait on our waitress the food came out so quickly but was still very tasty. The waitress was very accommodating and sweet. But she didn’t bother us every five seconds lol I forgot her name sadly but she had an octopus tattoo. We will definitely be back :)

We went for a late breakfast at 10 am on a Tuesday so it wouldn’t be crowded, and it worked out perfectly, our group of 9 women got 2 booths back to back. The big booths in the front can seat up to 5 or 6. Even at 10 am I was surprised at the number of people there, looks like the senior set loves it. I had the corned beef hash with eggs, it came with sides and choices of potato, grits, toast, etc. All good and big portions too, the only problem the corned beef was over done and crunchy, but the eggs over medium were done just right. Everyone else’s food was good — especially happy with the pancakes and greek omelet. This rating would have been 3 stars except for the superb service from Dana — she was happy to split checks for us and was very efficient, kept those coffee mugs full. If you want to make a morning of it, go down to Mid-Lothian Mines park, close by and a walk can help work off those blueberry pancakes!

I’m visiting the Brick House Diner this morning for breakfast after an 8 mile run… Hurricane Joaquin took a turn toward the ocean but the heavy rain came this way anyway. I decided to order the corned beef hash Benedict and mom n pop ordered the old favorite two eggs, homefries, bacon n wheat toast. Everything was delicious. my two favorite breakfast foods are eggs Benedict and corn beef hash. since they combined them I was in breakfast heaven. It was perfect.

Straight forward no frills diner food, prepared perfectly and quickly, but what shined was the service in particular. Three young local ladies were at the counter when we came through the door and greeted us with friendly smiles, and we were seated immediately. drinks were replaced right at the moment needed, and we were attended to efficiently without our server being overbearing. Definitely a spot to take the family for simple American diner cuisine I do recommend sticking with the American diner fare, as I tried their Greek Tiropita and it failed; greasy, bland and basically inedible.

Great neighborhood restaurant. I wouldn’t really call it a diner. I guess because the menu leans more toward the Italian side. Great place to stop in with kids if have activity add Midlothian middle or high. Quick and friendly service.

So in love with Brickhouse breakfast. If I could talk my husband into it, we’d eat here at least once a week. Their omelettes are huge and their portion of home fries is, too. I don’t stray too much from that because it’s so good. One delightful thing my kids enjoy is hot chocolate in the winter. It’s delivered with a heap of whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top. Tip: The coffee is hot. So hot you’ll likely only get one cup in you. But never fear, they’ll give you a to-go if you want one. I always want one.

The Brick House Diner in Midlothian has impressed me enough to be one of my regular stops. First thing to notice is the casual set up, comfortable tables, very friendly staff. Then the menu has just the right variety so you can order whatever you’re craving. I’ve landed here for lunch a few times recently. Had a great lunch just this past Friday with a good friend. We both ordered the BLT with fries to kick off our weekend. Angel, our great waitress, took care of everything we needed. Very attentive. The cooks in the back made the BLT’s better than you’d make them at home. They absolutely hit the spot. It was so good! The vibe inside is a lot of locals and repeat customers coming through, and I’ve decided to be one. So look for me there at lunchtime ordering a BLT or a Hamburger! And the fries… please don’t change them… love the thin fries!

We’ve been meaning to go to Brick House Diner for the longest time and are now kicking ourselves for waiting this long. We went for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The food was fabulous and the atmosphere is family friendly. The service was also great. Fast and friendly. I got the meat lovers omelet and my husband got the chicken fried steak skillet. The home fries are excellent and the pancakes are delicious. I can’t wait to go back for a dinner meal. There are so many dishes to choose from. The meals are reasonably priced so I won’t mind going back repeatedly to try everything on the menu!
