Don’t waste your time seeing Dr. Welp. She is old and not up to date on modern medicine and could care less about new patients. Retirement is in her near future.

We started seeing Dr. Welp in 2009 after our other physician was booked. I have to say we were truly Blessed when we started going to Dr. Welp. Dr. Welp always takes her time to listen to her patients complaints, even to the point of sitting next to them and letting them fully explain their issues. She is never in a hurry like some doctors are these days and ALWAYS puts the care and health of her patient first. I had a problem with my eye which would periodically swell and droop. I had CT scans and other tests that showed nothing was wrong. The pain I experienced with the episodes was terrible. A few years after I had endured this I asked Dr. Welp to look at my eye. She asked a lot of questions and then left the room, she came back and asked a lot more but then gave me her thoughts on it. She prescribed a medication and she was right! No more pain! I was still seeing Dr. Welp for residual testing and care when I left TX. Dr. Welp worked with the lab in AZ where I was going for tests and kept in contact with me by phone to give me the results of my test and called in prescriptions I needed. She has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk with. I wish we could have brought her to AZ with us. If you are looking for a doctor with loads of medical knowledge, tons of compassion and a great sense of humor you can’t go wrong with Dr. Welp; truly one of the BEST.

Dr. Mary Welp is as good as medical care comes. You folks in Midlothian don’t know how lucky you are to have her in your neck of the woods. My mom was a patient of Dr. Welp’s from 1987, when my mom first moved to Carrollton, until 2011 or so when Dr. Welp moved to Midlothian. I would particularly recommend Dr. Welp if one has aging parents in need of a physician. Believe me, doctors like Dr. Welp aren’t coming out of med school anymore..
