So if you like a great ambience, food, drinks, and friendly wait staff, then this is your calling place ! P.S . I would not try another breakfast here in midlothian tx, if you did, would be a wast of your time, so stop here first and have a great breakfast and enjoy the rest of your day !!!

We went for breakfast based on the reviews. If you are looking for an old fashioned southern breakfast then this is the place. I didn’t see the menu as I was on a business call in the car and sent my husband in to order. It was quite the busy place on Saturday morning. He ordered the same thing for us both, western omelet and the biscuits and gravy since I had read many fab reviews on biscuits and gravy to him the night before. I was a little disappointed that he ordered the same thing as I would have liked to try more on the menu. Our breakfast came out in a reasonable amount of time considering they were full. I started with the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was heavenly. Not heavy or dry, just melted in your mouth. I’m sure the perfectly seasoned gravy helped in that process. The gravy was brilliant — not so thick the it just blobbed on the biscuit, not so runny either, it was just right, poured nicely over the biscuit. The omelette was divine. So light and fluffy with just the right amount of filling. Waitress and staff were on the spot to fill up your coffee. Fantastic experience and perfect southern breakfast offerings. We’ll be back and will tell others about Kim and Jenny’s in Midlothian.

Been here a couple of times and each time, service was friendly and helpful and the food was consistently delicious. This diner brings back a happier time when the customer was important and delivery of a quality product was the focus. Keep up the great work!

Been here twice, now. This place is everything you could want in a mom-and-pop-greasy-spoon-breakfast-and-lunch-old-town-atmosphere diner! Super friendly service, perfectly cooked eggs, biscuits and gravy, ham, grits… etc. Pretty packed on Saturday morning but I didn’t have to wait for a table. If you’re in Midlothian at breakfast time, eat here! I’m gonna come back for lunch one day. I bet it doesn’t suck.

If you are ever in the area you have got to stop in here. The food is good! Staff is attentive and friendly. The owners are awesome! It is better than IHOP in my very candid opinion. I give it 2 thumbs up!

I usually love this place but after my experience Saturday I refuse to ever go back. My child is an epoletic and Tamera the waitress treated her as rude as rude can be. Demanding her to hurry and order even though I told her she was having a staring seizure. She tells her she won’t eat unless she hurries. That was uncalled for and we will not return

Farm-raised locally grown breakfast is what Kim and Jenny’s is all about! The biscuits and gravy are pure representation of how fattening but delicious Texas fork and spoon really is. The dinning area is really small and a little cramped but the personality of the joint is totally there.

If you are looking for a typical small town, American cuisine, breakfast and lunch spot, this is it. Kim and Jenny’s serves a good breakfast and has different lunch specials everyday, like pot roast, chicken fried steak, etc. The breakfast overall is definitely above average. The pancakes are large and fluffy, the eggs are fresh and cooked well, the biscuits are made from scratch and the gravy is to die for. I’m honestly a big fan of the breakfast burrito(sausage, eggs, cheese, hash brown). My wife and I order these to go on a pretty consistent basis. The wait staff is very friendly. I enjoy going to a restaurant and seeing the same people every Saturday morning. You can tell they enjoy working there because it shows in how friendly they are to the patrons. The owner is always there and rings you up at the front before you leave. It definitely reminds me of the restaurants I used to go to when I was a kid in small town West, Texas. One drawback can be the parking situation on Saturday morning, especially if there is a Farmer’s Market or other festival going on. But its usually not too bad.

This place is pretty awesome. I had been looking for a breakfast spot in the area for a while now and now I’ve found one. I visit nearby Waxahachie from time to time and found the chain restaurants to be packed with people and low on substance. I gave this place a shot and it was worth the drive! The staff is super friendly and give off the small town family feel to all their patrons. The place was busy but had no wait time on a Saturday morning which is rare. We looked around and saw that everyone had an order of biscuits so we tried them an needless to say they were great. The food came out fresh and tasted great. The pancakes were especially fluffy but not doughy. If you are in the area it’s worth a drive!

For attentive friendly service and good home cooking, one of the best around. Breakfast is straightforward, timely and cooked to order. Lunch specials are tasty. My go-to spot at least once a week for the last few months. This is what home-town good & friendly is all about.

Got the sausage and bacon omelette with biscuits and gravy. All were very good! The eggs were fluffy, the biscuit was homemade and had great texture. Only complaint was they don’t have real butter — instead they serve that terrible«Fresh Buttery Taste Spread.» Otherwise a good Saturday morning find.

I went there with my cousin and my uncle for lunch. They have been there plenty of times, but this was my first time going. I had the fish sandwich and it was quite tasty. It was not the generic, fried fish sandwich. It tasted hand battered. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was spotless. I will go back there again. Oh, and the pie was really good.

This place was a pleasant surprise in the downtown. A nice décor with fast moving staff, Kim and Jenny usually work the floor. We met Jenny and she makes all the deserts… lordy help me fit back into these pants! We were a big group, all from out of town and thought it was pretty good cookin! The meatloaf special, carrots, OH the potato salad… fried okra was popular, some chicken strips… several of us had desert and it was OH, so coma worthy!

Good home cooking type café. Great pies and desserts! Service is adequate and food is what you used to eat at home, when somebody would use stoves and ovens and other kitchen appliances. Now they just kind of look shiny and your kids only know how to use the microwave. Well, Kim and Jenny’s knows how to cook and I like that. Check out the fried chicken salad for lunch with honey mustard. Makes your tongue slap your brains out.
