Great atmosphere! Awesome staff! Drinks were a bit pricy(I’m talking a highball w/house liquor…), but other than that… Food is okay, but that fancy schmancy for small portions is ‘in’ now, so can’t berate them for that, I guess…

Cool place with an absolutely enormous beer list. Was here for a business dinner and were placed in the back room, which was nice as the tornados rolled through we were in a room without Windows! Our server, Faith, did an outstanding job giving us the time we needed but being available when we needed her. The food was delivered quickly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Most plates were wiped clean! We started with the Canyon Crab flatbread which was tasty, hot and just enough for each of the 5 to have a slice. I had the Mediterranean Salad with the grilled shrimp addition. Fresh and plentiful with a vinaigrette dressing that had a hint of onion. Only detractor was that they were out of several of the tap beers we ordered, which is a drag when you get all excited for an obscure local brew!

Great Saturday Funday! Food was excellent, waitstaff was attentive and knowledgable. I said the food was amazing? Started with the steamed shrimp then I had the Salmon Asparagus Salad, my boyfriend the wood-grilled Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. Will be in the rotation:-)

Went to Sedona Taphouse on a Saturday night. Nothing special, just dinner with my wife and mother. Having eaten here several times before, I knew what to expect in service, ambiance and food, or so I thought! This time was different. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait for a table. No problem as we would have a drink while we waited. We’re told they would text us when the table was ready. Well, got our drinks and preceded to wait. After 25 minutes, I decided to go and check on my table. Was then told that they had been texting us for ten minutes with no success. My wife was actually texting our daughter at the time and never saw a text from them. The hostess then asked me what her number was and seemed to type it back into the screen??? At that point she received a text saying something about an app that needed to be downloaded. It was all very confusing. We’re then told they would sit us next. Went back to my wife and mother and found out that the bar waitress had taken my half finished drink away. When she came by, my wife stopped her and informed her about my drink. Her response was«oh well». Oh well, WTF. I asked if she could bring me a replacement as she had taken it before I finished it. She comes back with a sample glass and slams it on the table. Even the couple next to us noticed her rudeness. During this, I am watching the hostess stand to make sure we were next. Guess what, we were not next. They sat another three top before us in the back room. They then called us and sat us next to the bathrooms. Every time the woman’s bathroom door was opened, I got to see who was in there plus I got the wonderful smell. There was also another 4 top next to us that stayed empty the whole evening even though people were waiting to be seated. Were we sat at the«bad» table? Not an experience I or my wife or mother enjoyed. I doubt I will be back!

First off, let me start with the service– outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and even offered a wine sample. Apparently it was ‘wino wednesday’. Not sure what they call it, but it was basically ladies sitting around the bar sharing half price bottles of wine and having a ladies night out. Nothing wrong with that! I squeezed myself in at the bar and was promptly greeted by Mary. She had such a great personality and helped me pick out some food options. I tried the spicy Thai shrimp as an appetizer– yum to the MAX! Next I had the Salmon topped with lemon butter sauce with a side Caesar salad– the salad was a bit larger than expected and came with a tasty chunk of bread. The salmon itself, the star of the dish, was a bit overcooked which made it a little rubbery. The side broccoli and couscous were perfect and season very well– only thing that I adjusted was the caesar salad; I love extra pepper on it. I then decided to check-in on Unilocal and BAM! Free Acapulco fish taco! So I had to try that! LOL It was amazingly tasty(minus the cilantro). Needless to say, I will definitely be back to try some other dishes– as everything had great flavor and the service is amazing. THANKYOUMARY!

Came in for dinner and some drinks on a Monday night. Football was on but it didn’t feel like that was bringing the crowd. The place was jumping for a Monday night. We had a few drinks. There is a great selection of draft beers. As an app we had the mussels. They were amazing. We shared between the 2 of us but I could even see just having that as an entrée. For dinner we had 2 types of tacos. The steak and the pork. I liked the steak. It did have a little bite to it. So if you don’t crave hot(like me) make sure you have a water. Then there was dessert. I ordered the cheese cake with caramel and sea salt. It was HUGE. Probably twice the size of any normal cheese cake I had before. Wish it took a picture. I also had a glass of the port wine as an after dinner drink. That was big too. That was the only picture I took. All in all a nice night out for dinner and drinks.

This was my second visit to Sedona but my first time having a full meal. Went with a group of friends – there were 7 of us. We started with the Thai Shrimp appetizer, which came on a bed of fried rice noodles. The shrimp were sautéed with green beans and covered with sweet chili sauce. Was a tasty dish. Two of my friends ordered the salmon with mango salsa and said it was great. One ordered the ribeye, which was huge. One person ordered the filet and said it was perfectly cooked. I had the Mediterranean salad and loved it and my husband had the prime rib sandwich. I tried his sandwich and it was good. They have a great beer selection, so I tried a few I hadn’t had before. One was a Heavy Seas(I think) stout and the other was Stone. The beer was a little pricey but I appreciate having options. Overall it was a good meal and I’m pretty sure we will be back.

Love this location. I have been a few times with different groups and we always have a good time. The beer selection is amazing and the food is delicious. Place is clean and professional. They have adapted with technology and if you have to wait they can now text you when your table is reach which allows you to walk around and check out the several shops surrounding their establishment. If you’re not a beer lover that’s okay, the restaurant is still a must to, at least for dinner or to grab lunch!

One of my favorite places in Midlothian. We would probably go more if they at least used one tap for something like a Budweiser so my wife would have something light to drink vs. only craft beers(a common complaint I have with places serving wide variety of beers but slighting those that don’t want a craft beer). Take it from someplace like Tazza Kitchen that did something to cater to non-craft drinkers but still something different in adding regular Coors to the tap(something different but cater still to non-craft drinkers). Just a suggestion — as I know we would go more often. But my wife still doesn’t complain too much as the food and atmosphere are great. It was at one time a long wait to get in here. But since Buffalo Wild Wings opened next door it has evened out the crowd a bit(maybe they left to go get a light beer *ok I know I keep on with that*). So you should be able to get in easier now. Worth the wait anyhow.

Sedona is the type of bar where you have a first date. It’s the type of place you take your boss or clients for a business lunch or just a place to kick it after work. It’s a little more upscale and a little more pricey than the typical bars in Midlothian, and given its location(Westchester Commons), it sort of sticks out amongst the conglomerate chains in this shopping center. That being said, it’s all very good. As with any bar or «tap house», the main focus is beer. I believe they have about 15 – 20 drafts and over 100 bottled selections to choose from, ranging from Lagers to IPAs to Stouts. Personally, I’m not much of a drinker, but they will let you sample anything before making a purchase. The food is quite good as well, namely the sliders and sandwich offerings. If you’re in town, check it out. It’s a little pricey, but well worth your time and money. B+
