Beer in Utah is easy to come by. Good beer is found typically in the liquor stores only. Though sometimes the grocery store can suprise. That being said 2 row is fantastic. The selection is small but great. I can say every brew is a delight. The owner is very kind and curtious. Up there as a one of the brew gems of Utah. Cheers!

People of Utah, this has to be the best craft brewery EVER! I love every one of their beers! Outstanding on every level. Brian knows what he is doing.

Up late on a Friday & found myself googling Utah breweries to see if there was anything new. new beers, breweries, events, etc & found 2 Row. Out & about today doing errands & other fun stops, made our way to 2 Row in a commercial district of Midvale, Utah. 4 Beers, reasonably priced individually for sale, available in some bars/Restaurants, no tasting avail on site. We grabbed 1 of each & asked in which order we should taste, we did as he said & makes sense why… flashback to when we walked in, we came in on the dot at opening on Saturday. The owner(Brian) was friendly, informative & gave us a full tour of his place… with in depth, elaborate detail of things I didn’t even know about but found fascinating related to water & water components & how they affect beer taste & feel. No frills needed, an understated commercial place is the perfect hiding place for delicious beer. I have tried almost every local beer from all the local breweries. I can appreciate the simple but I am a fan of the unusual & unique(Dogfishead, New Belgium, Rogue, etc), where as my boyfriend likes the classic & simple. I am burned out on IPA’s…I can appreciate them but as soon as they hit my tongue, it goes numb. Lucky for us, Brian instructed the appropriate order of tasting…#1: 24K Golden Ale, #2: Dangereux American Farmhouse Ale, #3: Accelerator Single IPA& #4: Random Double IPA. The verdict was the same between both Paul & I… 1&2 are the faves…#2 being the winner. #1 is a peaceful, easy to drink beautifully clear & pristine… gentle & subtle that you want to go back for more.#2 is more gregarious, animated & frisky… steals the spotlight from #1 like an attention seeking friend… you like both, in different ways… but can’t decide. the latter 2, which are IPA’s are the runners up(for Paul & I anyway). No negativity, just burned out on the IPA thing. The taste, the punch, the taste bud numbing blast. They are however, good IPA’s.Paul could describe & review in a more descriptive & informative manner. I like a beer to give me a gentle & escalating massage, a conversation & kiss goodnight… don’t like to have the tongue rammed down my throat, be screamed in my ear and my ass slapped on the way out… and I don’t feel his beers do that, but IPA’s do that to me right now. I like unusual ingredients, flavor profiles, mouth feels, scents… but that’s me. Paul likes crisp, clean classic German styles, but can appreciate the others as well. He has brewed, knows the ins and outs… as does my ex boyfriend. I have learned a lot from both of them. As a younger drinker I started out drinking White Zin for wine and Hefe, Blue Moon and fruity beers… then gradually escalated to deeper, richer, more full wines & beers. My love now is red wine, oaky, buttery, complex and dry. beer went from light and easy to drink… to intricate, layered, creative and aged beers. Paul & I recently had the pleasure of a full tour of New Belgium Brewery in Colorado & it was such a wonderful, fun & informative experience. I have enjoyed & in some cases toured other great breweries & wineries locally & in Oregon… large & small such as Rogue, Green Dragon Twist Wine Company, Bryn Mawyr, Pelican, Hair of the Dog, Russian River, Deschutes, Bridgeport, Cascade, Bethel Heights, CRISTOM, Widmer Brothers, etc. The process, dedication & skill continues to amaze me. And of course I love my locals: Squatters, Uinta, Wasatch, Redrock, Desert Edge, Bohemian, Epic, Avenues Proper & now 2 Row. I will definitely go back for more, support and refer people to 2 Row. the owner & brewer is skilled, passionate, dedicated and informative.

2 row is a refreshing change for slc brewing the random ipa is my favorite beer in SLC right now. The folks that own it are super nice. The spot is a little out of the way but well worth the drive. The beer is cold the people are nice win win.

Mom and Pop beer stop with products that taste better than all macro(and many micro) breweries out there. Stop in, buy two of everything(especially the Dangereux), and join the believers! I hope these guys stick around for awhile.

A fantastic new Utah brewery where the owners pay special attention to ensure high quality ingredients are used in all of their beers. Once you try their Accelerator IPA, Random double IPA and Dangereux American Farmhouse you will agree there are no shortcuts taken in their brewery. Their IPA’s rival some of the most sought after IPA’s in the business. My new favorite brewery!
