Read my original review. For the most part, parks in PA are beautiful. Do your research and find out which ones are more«natural» and most important, do the research and find out which parks have the bears. Most times I never saw any bears. The closest experience with that was when one«hostess» at one park told me they have seen bears the night before. Ask the hostesses, if there are any, about conditions in the parks. Most times, parks that have campers and RVs usually have hostesses and they are usually the first RV there.(YOU will see the sign that says hostess or greeter).

R. B. Winter is a really nice park in rural Union County. It covers nearly 700 acres in the Appalachian Mountains. Complete with a lake, beach, food concession area, miles of hiking trails(Rapid Run was our favorite) and dozens of camping(one cabin, 3 cottages, and 50 tent) sites. Our family had such a great time, we rented a cottage(36 bucks a night off season.) hiked for a few hours, borrowed a fishing rod from the park rangers office and fished for a bit. Our cottage simply had two twin bunk beds, electric baseboard heater, a table and a covered porch with picnic table. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
