I guess if you are in Milan, IL and don’t want pizza this place is decent to go to for dinner. It’s small, kind of dumpy (I wouldn’t call it dirty, but it’s a bit run down), and reasonable cheap. The food isn’t bad, but it’s nothing special either.

Best place to eat lunch in Milan, in my opinion. The food is great, the service is always excellent and even during a busy day where every seat is filled the food comes out fast. Would recommend the Carne Asada Tacos with rice and beans on the side.

I went here with my cousin on a Friday night for a much needed dinner out. I ordered the fajitas and she ordered a chicken dish. Halfway through our meal, she found a long hair in her food. It caused us to lose our appetites. After showing the MANAGER the long, disgusting hair, he took our plates and walked away. I expected him to take the food off our bill, but he did nothing. After being ignored and treated so poorly, we paid our bill and left. Hungry. I will never return to this place. With poor hygiene and even worse management, this place will not stay open.

Cactus has very good service and food. It is also reasonably priced. Their soups are great. The restaurant is also very clean.

Today we left our favorite restaurant, without ordering, because The Cactus, waitress was so rude and obnoxious that we couldn’t even think about staying. Evidentiary the word has gotten around as the normally packed place only had patrons at three tables and yet provided absolutely no service for over 30 minutes!

Delicious, authentic and very reasonably priced! Four of us went during a very busy Friday night — service was very good. Place was packed and lots of ‘to go’ orders too. We had variety of dishes including a combo, chicken chimichange, sesame pork. All were very good with nice flavor. Salsa was very good too. Definitely recommend this place for what it is — family Mexican restaurant for lunch or dinner.

Typical Tex-​Mex menu, Unilocal map not correct for location, 315 10th is intersection of 10th and 4th, same strip as Shanghai restaurant. This little place is great for cheap lunch or dinner with good variety of cold Mexican beers and margaritas. I’ve never seen a flat Chimichanga before, but it’s OK and not fried. Well we are a long way from Texas. Salsa OK but very mild, requested hotter variety good and mixed well with everything. Food was fresh, fast, and good friendly service.
