Best Ace Hardware

The staff in the back helping is nice, the cashiers and managers are rude.
I recently wanted to buy a canopy that was displayed, and didn’t immediately see the boxes. When I asked the cashier, she told be they were out of stock, but they did have the larger size in the back. It was $ 50 more, I was ok with that.
Later in the day, I returned for another item and noticed that the canopy size I wanted was further back in the store.
When I got to the cashier (the same cashier) and mentioned that indeed they did have the one I wanted in stock, she told me I was wrong and what I had asked for, was the original size. She just became rude with me and it irritated me, so I asked to see the manager.
The manager tried to tell me it was all just a big misunderstanding.
Never, did anyone apologize about this misunderstanding, nor ask me if I wanted to exchange for the smaller size.
Trust me when I say, the hour ride in traffic to Lowe’s or Home Depot is worth the effort to avoid this lack of appreciation for customers at «The Best Ace Hardware».

Seems like every time I go to Ace, they usually have what I’m looking for… for a steep asking price! This place is a rip off. Most of the Ace branded stuff is very cheaply made and not worth anywhere near the retail price. Most other brands in the store are nearly double the price of a place like Wal-​mart. I’ve done the research! avoid unless you’re willing to pay extra.

Friendly staff, eager to help, but maybe a little confused about what constitutes «organic». She found me the potting soil/​seed starting mix section, but wanted to sell me Miracle Gro.
