BUMMEDTHO … This place just closed permanently a couple of weeks ago :( I work nearby and whenever I went in next door for a haircut, I’d stop by for some brats and potato pancakes here . Always such a sweet, friendly lady in there. loved the brats, the service. was sad to see they closed. I hope they re-open nearby soon … but the sign in the window said closed permanently. :(

Super solid place to stop for a quick meal. This is perfect getting-off-the-train food. The brats are great, with fresh toppings. The potato pancakes are excellent as well, and so are the soup specials when they have them. The owners are also the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Wish they had coffee options to make this a one-stop shop, but Café Atlantique is right next door. The orders can also take a little while to make, as it’s all made to order, but it’s still pretty quick for a casual bite.

For over a year I have passed by this dive with thoughts of maybe I should stop in. I’ve always walked by as I went to work or home from work… Today that day has finally come. A friend of mine and I stopped in for lunch. While he and I each had the spicy brats, I had mine with curry ketchup, onions, and sauerkraut, along with a side of original and jalapeños potato pancakes(latkes). I must say it was impressive. The only issue I got is the idea of boiling the brats, I personally think if the lady actually just threw them on the grill, there’d be more flavor. Otherwise 4& half Stars but since there is no half star ratings I’ll give it a 5. Happy eating!

Stopped in while walking by. Had the traditional brat with sauerkraut and curry ketchup and both a regular and jalapeño pancake. Everything was great. I love German curry ketchup but it’s difficult to find. The brat was very authentic and both the pancakes were very good, especially the jalapeño one.

Great tasting brats but if you have to try the potato pancake taste so good I had it with sour cream!

Came to Milford by boat to relax and enjoy the town. Milford is a great little town with a great waterfront. Just a short walk from town we found Brats on a Bun and stopped in for lunch. What a great little place. Food was great, and Melissa did an outstanding job explaining all the different brats and preparing our order. If you are staying in the marina, call your order in, walk up to Brats on a Bun, and bring it back to your boat to enjoy with a few cold beers. These Brats have a great snap when you bite into it.

I had the Traditional Brat and it tasted just like ones I’ve had in Germany! The bun was perfect and the sauerkraut tasted fresh. My mom had the American Brat and it was the best tasting hot dog I’ve ever had! It’s good quality meat and the woman cooked it right in front of us. The jalapeño potato pancake was delicious too and the perfect amount of spicy! Seriously, it was a quality meal that was fresh and wasn’t heavy at all. Also, I recommend the curry ketchup — it’s different, but tastes great!

YUM! What a great addition to downtown. We tried the smoked brat and it was delish. The sauerkraut was fresh and tasty!(and we were informed it is an old family recipe!) Next time we will definitely try the potato pancakes. Can’t wait to come back: o)

Neat little place. Seating is only outside because the indoor area is designated for the kitchen area and the cash register. The woman working there was very patient and friendly – top quality customer service. Selection includes various bratwursts and one knackwurst type. They all include the option for sauteed or raw onions, sauteed peppers, relish, sauerkraut, and other standard condiments and served on a bun. The bratwurst are pretty good. The biggest highlight were the potato pancakes, which have a great chewy texture and taste really fresh. If they served the bratwurst inside these potato pancakes – this could be an awesome tasty spin to the German food. They also have Foxon Park beverages, so tipping back a Birch Beer works pretty well for me.

I think this place has potential. As far as I can tell they use decent brats and they have great topping. The one thing I was disappointed with is they soak their brats which I like dilutes their flavor. I know this is done for time but I’d rather wait a little longer to get the full brat flavor. Otherwise I like this place and it’s a good spot for a quick bite.

Tried today for the first time with my boyfriend. Delicious potato pancakes and delicious brat! The bun is perfect. For a quick bite in the milford area, highly recommended.

I went their for lunch with my Mom and I ordered the original Brat and a latke(potato pancake). The Brat got lost in the bun and the toppings were very skimpy. The Brat itself was pretty good. The Latke was pre-made and was soaked in oil, very soggy. The latkes I make at home are so much better. The lady(owner?)served us our food at the outside table and then just stood there, staring intensely at us. It was very awkward and she didn’t leave until my Mom took a bite of her food. When my Mom gave her the thumbs up, the women went back inside, but not for long. She came back out a few minutes later and we felt like we couldn’t eat in peace.

This tiny brat joint, and boy do I mean tiny, reminds me of the sausage fast food joints found in train stations throughout Germany. However one big difference is the German people prefer to pick up their sausages using their fingers. We Americans prefer to pick up ours using a bun. Thankfully this place uses the bun method. Just like their building their menu is tiny too. Several bratwursts, potato pancakes, and some beverages. That’s it. The brats are $ 5.25 each and potato pancakes are $ 1 each. I recommend getting the«traditional brat» instead of the«smokey brat» and possibly getting two brats if you’re really hungry. I also recommend getting sauerkraut, sautéed onions, and sautéed peppers as toppings. The potato pancakes are super greasy and very likely artery clogging, but aw heck so are the brats. There are no tables inside but outside there are a few small tables on the sidewalk. So while waiting/eating you can watch lemmings-like commuters getting off and on the train. This place is right next to the train tracks. One last note… the girl working the counter was one of the most polite and courteous employees I have ever come across. I sort of felt bad I was dropping only $ 12 on my supper because she made me feel like I was dining at a first rate world class restaurant. So kudos to her for making me feel like the most important in the world, albeit for just two minutes.

Brats, toppings and potato pancakes are very good. The spicy andouille brat was very flavorful. Very small but has a few outside tables where you can watch the activities in downtown Milford. Reasonably priced.

If you like Brats and dogs, this is a great place to grab one. A couple of tables outside, it is very small. Family owned and operated, this is a great place to grab a quick lunch or after bar craving. I went there with my son for lunch. I had a brat with grilled onions and mustard and my son had a hot dog. Great size, made to order, on bakery buns. Delicious! We also had potato pancakes which were excellent.
