Great dry cleaner. Clothes well cleaned and pressed. All work is done on the premises making it very convenient

This place is awesome. The prices are far more competitive than other cleaners in Milford, the owner is a no nonsense small business owner. He pressed 3 suits for me and had them ready the following day. Other places I called wanted to charge ridiculous prices and longer waits. I’ll be frequenting this place for all of my dry cleaning.

brought in several dress pants and ties from my work wardrobe on a Thursday to get cleaned before i went back to work on Sunday. the employee (owner?) who took my clothes asked if Monday would be ok to get the clothes back. i said no, as i work Sunday, so he then said they would be ready Saturday, as they are not open Sundays, and wrote down Saturday 3pm on my ticket.
on Saturday, i headed out to the cleaners admittedly cutting the time close, as i arrived at 2:55pm, just 5 minutes before closing time. except… they were already closed. shop locked. lights off. no one there. no one answering the phone. CLOSED before 3pm, with all my work pants and ties (i still had shirts at home). rather pissed, i call my boss, who is thankfully understanding and a similar size, and borrowed a pair of pants and tie for Sunday’s work day.
so Monday morning, i show up @ 8am, just after opening, to pick up my clothes. the same employee is there who originally took my order. i told him that when i arrived on Saturday, the store was already closed and that i had to borrow clothes for work yesterday and again today. he offers the store’s bathroom so that i can change. i chuckle, and say thanks, but the point now is not where i can change but the fact that the business closed early and did not have my order as promised. he then proceeds to tell me that if i was going to arrive late that i could have called and he would have stayed late. that’s cool and all, except i arrived 5 minutes BEFORE 3pm closing, so i was therefore not late. not having my work clothes was an inconvenience and a professional embarrassment for me. he explained again how i could have called before heading over and he would have stayed, apparently missing the point that he closed EARLY and did not stay till the store’s posted hours. at this point, i paid and prepared to leave. while i was gathering my clothes, he offered me 10% off on my NEXT purchased for the inconvenience. nice to get some offering of empathy and a discount, but it should have been more substantial, like this whole order for free, and applied to this order, not some future order that requires me to shop there again.
needless to say, i will NOT be shopping here again. while the clothes did come out nicely cleaned, the lack of understanding how the store closed early negatively affected my work life was unacceptable. there is a dry cleaner located in the same parking complex as my work that is slightly cheaper and used by most of my co-​workers. i will be using the other place from now on.
