Why not to order from Edible Arrangements! I decided to take a new job, but I had written offers from three companies, one was local in CT, a smaller company. After reviewing their employment agreement with an attorney we decided we could not come to terms, so we parted ways. Here’s where it gets strange, they must have ordered me a large fruit basket to welcome me to the team, which is a nice gesture. Guy shows up yesterday, presents it to me, I tip him as you should and when I open it I couldn’t help but to laugh, someone forgot to cancel it! 20 mins later the phone rings and it’s Edible Arrangements, may we speak with Tom, yes this is me, ummmmmm, that basket was canceled and not paid for did you touch it, why yes I ate a chocolate covered strawberry, why, we’ll someone needs to pay for it? We have to pick it up? I said, pick it up, you can’t resell it, what will you do with it, it just needs to be paid for, our guy will be back in 10 minutes put it outside. Another 30 minutes goes by and they come back. I still can’t believe they made a mistake and forgot not to send a canceled order and would even bother to call. The recruiter who tried to place me with them was cracking up when I sent him the pic of the basket and card, then when I texted him 2 hours later to let him know what happened, he couldn’t believe it. So THANKYOU edible arrangements, I will never order anything for any reason from you because I’m afraid you recycle fruit like a bad restaurant recycles rolls people do not eat, which is disgusting!

This was almost a catastrophe. I ordered chocolate covered fruit truffles for my husband for Father’s Day two days ago figuring the order would be ready to go by early morning. This morning I sent them a message telling them that my husband may leave work a little early today and could they please deliver earlier rather than later. I promptly got a phone call that said not to worry it was going to be there well before 5:00. I frantically checked the status all day. 2:30pm it finally changed from«Pending» to «In Transit» and since my husband’s job was a 6 minute drive from their store I figured any second I’d be getting a call from him… …until 4:35 when he walked in the door with no truffles in hand. I was livid. I called the store and they said due to the rain storm deliveries slowed down. She said that the driver arrived there 10 minutes ago and our town was out of their delivery zone so she would check with the manager about what he wanted to do. My husband called security at work and notified them to call him if a delivery arrived. 5 minutes later security called and said the delivery was there(so much for having been there«10 minutes ago»). Lucky for me the delivery guy was also the manager and he said he’d deliver to our town. So, a few attempts/phone calls to find my house, my husband FINALLY got the gift that was no longer a surprise. I’d use them again due to their willingness to go above and beyond to rectify the problem… but it likely won’t be me first choice and if it ends up like this experience, it’ll be the last time.
